The Home surrounds a beautiful courtyard and many rooms lead onto this. Inside it is beautifully furnished with comfortable lounges, quiet visiting areas and a delightful sensory/relaxation room. The Home has been purpose built and all rooms have an en-suite. Meals are freshly prepared by the catering team to ensure a nutritious and balanced diet, which does include tempting cakes.

Mum was in Loganberry Lodge for ten months. During her time there she was very happy and enjoyed walking the corridors and interacting with staff and residents. She was well fed, well cared for and took part in many activities and trips. Some staff went above and beyond their roles and for this, the
family is grateful.
Management are very approachable and deal with issues promptly and effectively.

My mum stayed with you for just over a year. We couldn't have asked for better care for her. We are also very grateful for all the support you gave us as a family. Mum was very happy in your care making it a home from home. Particularly through her final days, the staff cared for mum went above and

My Stepfather recently passed away at Loganberry lodge after suffering with dementia. I visited him often. I do not know the names of all the staff involved but in particular I wish to thank 4 members of staff in-particular and all the other staff involved in his care. They were so kind and patient.

The staff are really friendly, kind and caring. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my mum to spend her final days. She was only here for a month but her care was outstanding. There was always plenty of good quality food and rinks on offer. Her room was very nicely decorated. I would highly

Loganberry Lodge - what a wonderful place. My uncle lived here for five years. He was happy and so well cared for by wonderful, compassionate staff. They communicated well with us and my uncle's best interests were always their major consideration. This really was a home from home. My uncle thoroughly

This care home is second to none. The staff are brilliant. I can make a comparison as I worked in the office of a care home in my village for 6 years and this is far superior. Clean, comfortable, nice furnishing, excellent!

The staff at Loganberry Lodge are so caring, treat my mum with total respect and dignity. When I visit Mum and leave, I never have to worry about my mum, she has the attention and care needed. A lovely fantastic Care Home. They looked after my mother with so much care and always welcomed the family when we came to visit.
They really looked after my mum even though she was suffering from Dementia and was confused a lot.
Her room was lovely and clean.
From the manager down to the laundry
people, they were all lovely people.
My mother passed away on the 21st December.

My dad had an excellent experience at Loganberry Lodge. The care staff treated him with dignity and were incredibly caring. The home is calm and clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. My father thoroughly enjoyed the food and as a family, we felt reassured and confident that he was in the best hands.

Although my Mum's stay has only been for a 6-week respite. I have no complaints. The staff are friendly and obliging. Mum has dementia, they took time with her and were very attentive and patient with her. I would highly recommend Loganberry Lodge.

My mother sadly passed away recently after almost eight years (precious years) residing in Loganberry Lodge Care Home in Colchester. During her time there, Mum received excellent care from all the staff and even in her last few weeks, they could not have done more to make her life comfortable. It is
an excellent home and, even when they are sometimes short-staffed, they go the 'extra mile' to make all the residents feel safe, comfortable and cared for. I have been very happy with all the care and compassion afforded to my mum and for that reason, I would certainly recommend this particular care home to others. Thank you Loganberry Lodge for everything.

Although my mum's stay was very short, the care she received was faultless. The staff were kind and attentive. It was a difficult time for us, the family, but the staff, especially two, were so loving to Mum that it eased her and less importantly our stress and anxiety.

The staff at Loganberry Lodge Care Home are irrefutably kind and caring. They put thee resident's health safety and welfare at the forefront of their responsibilities. All of the facilities are spotless and access is easy at all times.
The atmosphere that the management have created is one of calmness
and peacefulness.
I can't speak highly enough about Loganberry Lodge and I have immense gratitude that my mum is lucky enough to be there.

We are a large care home in Colchester with 141 bedrooms, nicely situated over several homely units. We have a café and lounges for residents to relax in with relatives and friends. We deliver quality care to older people, those who live with dementia, and those with more complex needs. Our dedicated carers have accumulated many years of experience, including myself; I have worked in Loganberry Lodge for twelve years, please feel free to visit at any time. My name is Ella Arhip, and I have over 14 years of dedicated service at Runwood Homes, including more than 12 years at Loganberry Lodge. I have built a career committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. I began my journey as a Care Assistant, progressed to Care Team Leader, and later embraced the challenge of becoming Deputy Manager at a sister home.

My name is Oana Dunea, and I am the Deputy Manager at Loganberry Lodge.


I have proudly been part of the Loganberry team for over 13 years, during which I’ve experienced a truly rewarding journey. I initially started as a care assistant, working both day and night shifts, before progressing to the role of care team leader. This allowed me to further develop my skills in both care and leadership.


Each day at Loganberry Lodge has brought its unique challenges, but through collaboration and continuous learning, we have always strived as a team to improve and ensure the well-being of our residents. Along this journey, there have been many moments of joy, laughter, and difficult times.


Over the years, I’ve worked with various home and deputy managers, each of whom has provided support and valuable insights. I have also completed numerous specialised training courses, including an NVQ Level 3, which has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.


In July 2023, I stepped into the role of second deputy manager at Loganberry Lodge. This position has brought new responsibilities and challenges but also great achievements, all made possible by our staff's dedication and hard work.


I am incredibly proud of what Loganberry Lodge represents—a true family that includes our staff, residents, and their families. Together, we continue to create a caring and supportive environment where everyone feels valued.
