My nan is a resident at Loganberry and has been since January of this year. It has been tough in terms of visiting due to covid, but the care home manger has been nothing short of accommodating wherever possible. Most notably, ensuring not just my nan's but all of the resident's safety is at the forefront whilst also ensuring that the families of Loganberry residents always know what is going on within the home. Which arguably, as a family member is of the utmost importance. Now that we are allowed to visit again, it has been great to see for myself how well my nan has been looked after and how much progress she has made since becoming a resident at Loganberry Lodge with the fantastic personalised care from the carers on the unit she resides. The well-being team also provide entertainment and crafts for the residents and encourage participation from residents of all abilities. All in all, moving Nan to Loganberry Lodge was the best decision for our family and Nan in particular. 5*.

My nan is a resident at Loganberry Lodge. Picking a care home for our loved one was a massive decision. We wanted her well looked after, loved and cared for as well as we did it. I can honestly say choosing Loganberry Lodge was the best decision we made, the management team are outstanding always happy to discuss any problems or concerns you may have and the door is always open to you when you need it. The well-being team always go above and beyond to communicate, support and entertain the residents at Loganberry Lodge, you always receive a warm welcome on entry, even from the handy man. Care staff are amazing they look after my nan as if she was there own and that to me and my family is massively important. As a family we couldn’t fault this care home and we will forever be grateful for the love, support and guidance they give my nan and also us as a family. I couldn’t recommend this care home enough. I would like to thank everyone who works here for making this care home a 5*.

Front of house amazing, friendly and very helpful.Management fantastic helpful very approachable. Our loved one's unit (rose) is, in my eyes, the best. Staff are great with our loved one and all residents. Everyone has made our loved one feel welcome and safe. Her room is always tidy and clean. The lounge is always full of happiness and smiles for and from everyone. Well-being staff have helped us and our loved one so very much. I love to see our loved one so happy and to know she’s safe and cared for when we are not there. The menu is brilliant also. Thank you to every single person who works at Loganberry Lodge for all you do for our loved one and all the other residents. You are all amazing people and we will be forever grateful for all you do. You all do a fantastic job.

I would just like to take a moment to say a big thank you, to all the staff for all that you do for my sister.
My sister has been in Loganberry for 5+ years now, and in all that time we have never had any doubt that the quality of care she receives has been nothing but superb.
We really do appreciate the kindness and care the staff show her.
Owing to Alzheimer's, we know she has not always been the easiest of residents, but your patience and tireless effort has been second to none.
Everyone's so friendly and helpful and always keep us well informed.
During the pandemic when we were unable to visit, it was so reassuring to know she would be getting the best of care. We definitely made the right choice placing her in Loganberry Lodge.

We are extremely grateful for all they have done, and continue to do for my sister.

Staff seem really caring and friendly. Mum is always clean and comfortable and very happy with her care. Her bedroom is large and always clean and tidy as is the whole home. Staff keep me informed of Mum's condition. Overall, I'm glad Mum is in Loganberry and I can be at peace with her care. Thank you.

My mother-in-law was a resident at Loganberry Lodge for eight months during what must have been one of the most challenging years for residential homes. Staff and management were caring and very responsive to my mother-in-law’s needs.

My mother-in-law was transferred to Loganberry from the hospital and from the initial admission all the staff have been extremely helpful, informative and so very kind, always taking the phone to her so we could have a chat, and arranging Zoom calls so that we could see her. Unfortunately, she was rather unwell initially and then had to be re-admitted to hospital but thankfully was returned to Loganberry where she has made excellent progress which I am sure is down to the care she is receiving there. She has told me she is very happy there.
Covid has made life very difficult for the staff I am sure, with all the precautions they have to take, but nothing is too much trouble and I would like to thank each and every one of them who are making life so much better for Mum and can absolutely recommend Loganberry.

A very big thank you to all of you.

We have been very impressed with the handling of the pandemic. All staff remain helpful, cheerful and dedicated to making life as normal as possible for residents whilst keeping them safe. Runwood have done as much as they can to allow visitors to see their loved ones. Although we have not visited often as my mother in law has severe dementia now and does not communicate very much we get regular updates. Well done and keep up the good work. Happy Christmas to all.

Dad’s dementia worsened and we made the heartbreaking decision the family couldn’t keep him safe and cared for any longer. From application to dad moving in and settling the whole staff were sensitive most importantly to dad, (but also wife, children and grandchildren). Throughout this very trying year, they have continued to reassure us of how dad is emotionally, physically, medically. They speak about our dad fondly and with compassion that his well-being is individually important to them; he is not just another face or it’s their job! Heartfelt thanks to all who dad now accepts as ‘his family’, those making each of his lasting days enjoyable, safe, stimulating and comfortable. It takes very special people to be carers on good days (let alone bad ones). Eternally grateful and full of admiration and respect for all these heroes. We have complete reassurance dad is in the best possible care, which helps the loss in our hearts!

My mum was sent to Loganberry Lodge for respite care following a short stay in hospital after a fall. She was in the home for 3 weeks and every member of staff that we dealt with during her stay were excellent. In spite of the current COVID situation, the staff went above and beyond to keep us in touch with mum and arranged face time calls every day. My mum was in the dementia unit and all staff were caring, considerate and treated my mum with the utmost respect. In my mum’s final days, the deputy manager was especially compassionate and supportive, not only to my mum but also to myself (she phoned me multiple times a day to keep me updated on her condition). This is my first ever experience of a care home, but it far exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend Loganberry Lodge.

My Nan stayed at Loganberry Lodge for a few weeks of respite and end of life care following a fall and a short stay in hospital. Due to the current COVID situation, I was never able to visit the home itself, however, every interaction with the staff was nothing but positive. The staff went over and above to keep the family up to date on her condition and were very flexible in arranging daily video calls between my mum and my Nan. This made a very difficult situation as good as it could be. When asked how my Nan was doing each day, she would say that she was being treated like a queen. Loganberry Lodge made sure that the last few weeks of my Nan’s life were very happy and comfortable.

Mum did not want to be in a home. This has made her very confined to her room. They tried at first to get her to join in but gave up in the end. Before lockdown, as a family, she had visitors almost every day. Due to lockdown, we feel the staff have excelled. She has been very well looked after and cared for. The dedication has put our minds at rest.

I was in Longanberry Lodge for respite care and I couldn't have wished for a better support service. The staff are helpful and supportive and the overall care is excellent. If I ever need to go to a care home again I will not hesitate to return to Longberry Lodge. Following my discharge, one of the managers brought to me my personal belongings I forgot in the home when I said that I have no means to get there. I am very impressed and grateful. Keep up with your excellent work.

My husband has been a resident since September 2018 after suffering a severe stroke. During his time at Loganberry he has always been well looked after and the staff have maintained an excellent standard of personal hygiene for him and the overall cleanliness of Loganberry is second to none. The food that is on offer is of a very good standard and they will always offer an alternative if the day's menu is not to his taste. All staff always are very polite to both residents and visitors alike and create a happy, joyful environment. Both my husband and myself are very happy with Loganberry. Thank you.

I have proudly been part of the Loganberry team for over 13 years, during which I’ve experienced a truly rewarding journey. I initially started as a care assistant, working both day and night shifts, before progressing to the role of care team leader. This allowed me to further develop my skills in both care and leadership.

Each day at Loganberry Lodge has brought its unique challenges, but through collaboration and continuous learning, we have always strived as a team to improve and ensure the well-being of our residents. Along this journey, there have been many moments of joy, laughter, and difficult times.

Over the years, I’ve worked with various home and deputy managers, each of whom has provided support and valuable insights. I have also completed numerous specialised training courses, including an NVQ Level 3, which has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.

In July 2023, I stepped into the role of second deputy manager at Loganberry Lodge. This position has brought new responsibilities and challenges but also great achievements, all made possible by our staff's dedication and hard work.

I am incredibly proud of what Loganberry Lodge represents—a true family that includes our staff, residents, and their families. Together, we continue to create a caring and supportive environment where everyone feels valued.
