The Home surrounds a beautiful courtyard and many rooms lead onto this. Inside it is beautifully furnished with comfortable lounges, quiet visiting areas and a delightful sensory/relaxation room. The Home has been purpose built and all rooms have an en-suite. Meals are freshly prepared by the catering team to ensure a nutritious and balanced diet, which does include tempting cakes.

While dad has been in Loganberry Lodge and he has always received very good care. The staff are friendly, helpful and always happy. When dad was unwell the staff were extremely helpful and got a doctor to see him ASAP and informed us of what was happening. Overall we are extremely happy with the care

My mother was at the care home for one day before the family felt they should take care of her. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist who helped answer all our questions. We had a lovely tour by the deputy manager, the care staff were warm and welcoming and made Mum feel very welcome. They helped
her settle in immediately. She had a very pleasant stay, though it was short.

Large complex with two main buildings - separate sections within each. General opinion - good. Some of the rooms are a little tired (decor). General cleanliness is good. Staff are good and seem to know what was expected of them in care of residents. There will always be a shortage of staff but they
all seem to pull together well. For the relatively short stay mother had at Loganberry Lodge she was cared for well and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Thank you.

Care homes are a relatively new experience for my wife as a resident and myself as a visiting husband. I must say I am positively impressed. Everyone is very pleasant and helpful. No requests are too much trouble. It is a great relief to me and to my wife to know she is looked after as she battles dementia

Worries of mum needing a care home and choosing the right one, from visiting Loganberry Lodge, meeting management and the lovely staff, from the manager, all the way to maintenance and housekeeping, all those worries were allayed. Always a cheery greeting and a chat, mum has settled and is well cared
for. Activities are there for all and mum has been out to lunch with staff and other residents, they helped us arrange for her to attend her granddaughter's wedding. A big thank you to all.

My mother moved into Loganberry Lodge Care Home earlier this year and from day one the staff have been absolutely great. They helped her settle in extremely well and have provided excellent care. The staff are extremely professional, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Having lived on her own
for several years, it was always going to be difficult for her to adjust to moving into a care home. But the staff have been very patient, kind and considerate. The home is very clean, modern and welcoming when you arrive at the reception. The home offers a warm and friendly atmosphere to both residents and visitors. The management team offer full support and keep us up to speed with any relevant information regarding the home with meetings and events.

My younger sister and myself cannot praise all of the staff at Loganberry Lodge for the way they care with dignity and kindness for my eldest sister. It gives us great comfort to know she is cared for in such a lovely way. The staff go beyond their duties and speak to her with great respect.

My mother was transferred at short notice from the hospital to Loganberry Lodge. We were so lucky. Loganberry is well run. All the staff are friendly, caring and diligent. The home is clean and well maintained. Food is freshly cooked like home-style food. Snacks and drinks are provided regularly. Loganberry
strives to involve every resident so as not to feel alone. The staff are jolly and very caring. We were blessed when my mother was transferred to Loganberry. I wouldn't hesitate to it recommend it to anyone. Excellent!

Mum moved to Loganberry in October and had Alzheimer's. The staff and management were amazing with my mum and to us as a family. Always treat her with respect and great care. A true home from home. Sadly my mum was later diagnosed with cancer and all the staff were truly amazing in supporting mum with
whatever she needed. They keep us informed of her progress at all times. They are all amazing at their jobs and a credit to your company. I can't thank them enough.

Loganberry Lodge is a very welcoming place. The reception is very modern and clean. Management are always willing to talk to me and my other sister if we have any concerns about my sister. Rooms are always clean, and the bedroom is always clean and tidy. Care staff show also concerns for my sister's
learning difficulties and try to do their utmost to help her every day. The reception staff are always friendly and welcoming. Overall 'excellent' nursing home and would highly recommend it to friends etc!

Mum has been at Loganberry Lodge for about 18 months. It's always a bit of a step into the unknown when you entrust those you love most to others. I count my mum and I lucky indeed to have found Loganberry Lodge. The manager and his team are running a bright, caring and comfortable home where the residents
smile, the staff are friendly and there is a genuine feeling of happiness. The residents are treated with respect and dignity.
Relatives are kept informed of what's happening in the home via bi-monthly meetings. If we have any concerns, the staff are available and willing to chat freely. I am able to visit my mum easily and would recommend signing up for the essential carer scheme this home operates (many don't) which enables you to spend more time with your loved one.
Activities are organised for residents: my mum loves the Monday morning sing-song. All staff are excellent but I must take my hat off to the tireless wellbeing leader - whose enthusiasm for her role is boundless.

The last year has been a difficult time with Covid, but it has been made so much easier with the support from all the staff at the care home.
It is good to know that not only is mum in a safe environment, but there are lots of activities for her to get involved in.

Loganberry Lodge looked after my father for just over a year. He was extremely happy here even though the pandemic made things very difficult regarding visits etc. I know that if I was unable to see him during lockdown he would be very well looked after. He formed good friendships with staff although
his Parkinsons' made it very frustrating for him at times. Thank you.

Hello, my name is John Dunea, and I am the Loganberry Lodge Care Home Manager. I would like to welcome you to our home. We are a large care home in Colchester with 141 bedrooms, nicely situated over several homely units. We have a café and lounges for residents to relax in with relatives and friends. We deliver quality care to older people, those who live with dementia, and those with more complex needs. Our dedicated carers have accumulated many years of experience, including myself; I have worked in Loganberry Lodge for twelve years, please feel free to visit at any time. My name is Ella Arhip, and I have over 14 years of dedicated service at Runwood Homes, including more than 12 years at Loganberry Lodge. I have built a career committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. I began my journey as a Care Assistant, progressed to Care Team Leader, and later embraced the challenge of becoming Deputy Manager at a sister home.
I returned to Loganberry Lodge to provide maternity cover for the Administrator role, after which I was delighted to accept the position of Deputy Manager. My name is Oana Dunea, and I am the Deputy Manager at Loganberry Lodge.


I have proudly been part of the Loganberry team for over 13 years, during which I’ve experienced a truly rewarding journey. I initially started as a care assistant, working both day and night shifts, before progressing to the role of care team leader. This allowed me to further develop my skills in both care and leadership.


Each day at Loganberry Lodge has brought its unique challenges, but through collaboration and continuous learning, we have always strived as a team to improve and ensure the well-being of our residents. Along this journey, there have been many moments of joy, laughter, and difficult times.


Over the years, I’ve worked with various home and deputy managers, each of whom has provided support and valuable insights. I have also completed numerous specialised training courses, including an NVQ Level 3, which has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.


In July 2023, I stepped into the role of second deputy manager at Loganberry Lodge. This position has brought new responsibilities and challenges but also great achievements, all made possible by our staff's dedication and hard work.


I am incredibly proud of what Loganberry Lodge represents—a true family that includes our staff, residents, and their families. Together, we continue to create a caring and supportive environment where everyone feels valued.

My name is Ann White, and I am proud to have been part of the Loganberry Lodge team for over 15 years. I began my journey as an Activity Coordinator, building meaningful connections with residents through engaging programs and activities. I later transitioned to the role of Receptionist, where I managed calls, welcomed visitors, and supported the smooth operation of the front desk.
My heart has always been with the residents, and I am delighted to now be serving once again as Lifestyle Coordinator. I truly enjoy my daily interactions with residents and their families, and I am committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment while providing enriching experiences that enhance life at Loganberry Lodge.

I've worked as an administrator for 8 years at Loganberry Lodge.
No day is the same at Loganberry Lodge. Every day is different. Since I manage some of the residents' finances, I get to meet most of their relatives and friends.


I ensure that all administrative duties associated with the care home are performed effectively and in a timely manner. I provide any clerical support to the management team when they request or require it.

Hello,
My name is Ana, and I have worked for Loganberry Lodge since 2014. During this time, I have held various job positions in the company. I am happy to work and support our staff, residents, and families.
In July, I took the receptionist job. As a receptionist, I assist with enquiries and answer the telephone.
I also ensure that attendance at both mandatory and required training courses is met so that skills, Knowledge, and competency levels are maintained to carry out the role efficiently and effectively.
