The Home surrounds a beautiful courtyard and many rooms lead onto this. Inside it is beautifully furnished with comfortable lounges, quiet visiting areas and a delightful sensory/relaxation room. The Home has been purpose built and all rooms have an en-suite. Meals are freshly prepared by the catering team to ensure a nutritious and balanced diet, which does include tempting cakes.

This is a very friendly place. The home manager was very efficient yet sympathetic to my needs and very kind. The staff were also very kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I found my stay here a very positive experience at Loganberry Lodge.

My father is very happy in the home. He says the food is always well-presented and very tasty. He enjoys the activities that he chooses to engage in. Communication from the carers, senior carers and managers regarding my father's care to me is excellent. They are very quick to update me on any changes
that involve my father. As a family, we are always welcomed into the home. My father's exact words are - “I have no complaints about being in here”.

The staff I had dealings with were caring, understanding and very helpful with most of them being smart and tidy. The buildings/units I have seen have been kept very clean and tidy although the decor is a little tired.
Given the number of residents in total, the food is of an acceptable standard although
the presentation of it on the plate could improve. Overall I feel Loganberry Lodge is a good care home and indeed one of the better ones in the area in my opinion.

Logan Berry Lodge I found is a very good home. They are very nice to the residents and they help them a lot, there is one man up there and he is very good with the residents.

My mother is safe, this is extremely important when your mother has no memory, hardly speaks and has limited mobility. The people who look after my mum need applauding as they do so much with kindness. Loganberry Lodge is friendly, welcoming, and clean and does not smell like care homes are painted
as being like. They put my mum's needs high on the priority list. Thank you Loganberry Lodge for keeping my mum safe.

My husband and I are very happy with the service the home is giving my mum-in-law. They all seem very caring, kind and very helpful. All of my mom-in-law's needs have been met so far. Medication, doctors, and health visitors have all been great and taken on board what it is my mum-in-law requires and
needs that is fantastic. Whatever I have asked for, or the home things she needs has happened within that day or the next day. We are very happy with the care and home mum has been given. Thank you.

My mum had been a resident for the past six years. She had developed good relationships with the staff.
It was lovely to know that staff who knew her when she joined the home were there when she finally passed away. It seems rather unique to have this link over her time there.
They developed good
relationships with the family and became rather like our extended family.
They understood my Mum's needs well and tried hard to meet them.
In the past six years, there have been some very difficult times but the staff have managed to care for her with compassion, kindness and dignity.

Really lovely care home, with really nice staff. Both my Nana and Grandad stay here on the dementia floor and are looked after very well, with a lovely spacious room and big windows so they are able to look out and get lots of sunlight. All the staff are really friendly and have a good connection with
my grandparents which is nice to see. When the weather is nice they take them out to garden centres and other places which is really good for them. Would definitely recommend!

Overall, the care provided was of a high standard. The staff were attentive to the people in their care. The one big criticism is the standard of food provided, not only of the choice on the menu but also its presentation.

All the staff had a caring attitude and, with possibly one exception, were prepared to do more than might be expected of them to help when necessary. The superiors (in dark red uniforms) knew their patients well and could answer queries about them. It was clear that they knew the patients personally
and what treatment had been prescribed. One could sense the ambience, which was very good. Visitors were always welcome, even when arriving at mealtimes when they were asked not to.

From the moment you arrive at reception until you leave.
All staff are happy courteous and extremely helpful.
The place is kept extremely clean and staff are always available.
The food served to my father was always of good quality.
He considered his whole experience "like staying in a 5 star hotel".


If

any issues did arise with his health I was assured that the home would contact me directly.


I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for somewhere safe secure for their loved one.

Our mum is on one of the units at Loganberry Lodge and has been there for two years. Within this time I must say we have always found the management and the staff kind, caring, understanding and always at hand. Management always goes above and beyond to support residents and their families, they have
an open door and are always happy to help at any time. The Reception staff are always there to meet greet and guide you in the right direction. Unit staff are amazing, work hard, all have a wonderful smile and support our loved ones (we will always be thankful for this). The well-being team are an amazing team they keep our loved ones motivated creative and uplifted even the bed-bound residents are as important and included on a daily basis, they have kept us connected to our loved ones in the most difficult times via zoom, telephone, letter or pod visits. They have a wonderful hairdresser, laundry team do an amazing job. The chef is very accommodating and is always happy to fulfil residents' appetites. We will always be thankful.

We are a large care home in Colchester with 141 bedrooms, nicely situated over several homely units. We have a café and lounges for residents to relax in with relatives and friends. We deliver quality care to older people, those who live with dementia, and those with more complex needs. Our dedicated carers have accumulated many years of experience, including myself; I have worked in Loganberry Lodge for twelve years, please feel free to visit at any time. My name is Ella Arhip, and I have over 14 years of dedicated service at Runwood Homes, including more than 12 years at Loganberry Lodge. I have built a career committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. I began my journey as a Care Assistant, progressed to Care Team Leader, and later embraced the challenge of becoming Deputy Manager at a sister home.
I returned to Loganberry Lodge to provide maternity cover for the Administrator role, after which I was delighted to accept the position of Deputy Manager. My name is Oana Dunea, and I am the Deputy Manager at Loganberry Lodge.


I have proudly been part of the Loganberry team for over 13 years, during which I’ve experienced a truly rewarding journey. I initially started as a care assistant, working both day and night shifts, before progressing to the role of care team leader. This allowed me to further develop my skills in both care and leadership.


Each day at Loganberry Lodge has brought its unique challenges, but through collaboration and continuous learning, we have always strived as a team to improve and ensure the well-being of our residents. Along this journey, there have been many moments of joy, laughter, and difficult times.


Over the years, I’ve worked with various home and deputy managers, each of whom has provided support and valuable insights. I have also completed numerous specialised training courses, including an NVQ Level 3, which has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.


In July 2023, I stepped into the role of second deputy manager at Loganberry Lodge. This position has brought new responsibilities and challenges but also great achievements, all made possible by our staff's dedication and hard work.


I am incredibly proud of what Loganberry Lodge represents—a true family that includes our staff, residents, and their families. Together, we continue to create a caring and supportive environment where everyone feels valued.

I later transitioned to the role of Receptionist, where I managed calls, welcomed visitors, and supported the smooth operation of the front desk.
My heart has always been with the residents, and I am delighted to now be serving once again as Lifestyle Coordinator. I truly enjoy my daily interactions with residents and their families, and I am committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment while providing enriching experiences that enhance life at Loganberry Lodge.

I've worked as an administrator for 8 years at Loganberry Lodge.
No day is the same at Loganberry Lodge. Every day is different. Since I manage some of the residents' finances, I get to meet most of their relatives and friends.


I ensure that all administrative duties associated with the care home are performed effectively and in a timely manner. I provide any clerical support to the management team when they request or require it.

My name is Ana, and I have worked for Loganberry Lodge since 2014. During this time, I have held various job positions in the company. I am happy to work and support our staff, residents, and families.
In July, I took the receptionist job. As a receptionist, I assist with enquiries and answer the telephone.
I also ensure that attendance at both mandatory and required training courses is met so that skills, Knowledge, and competency levels are maintained to carry out the role efficiently and effectively.
