Broomhills boasts of 3 large gardens, one with a patio, so there is always a nice area to walk or sit and relax.

Broomhills is a delightful older style building full of character, homely and comfortable. Although rooms are furnished items can be brought in to ensure you are as relaxed as possible. There are always activities for you to join in if you wish, it is your choice.

Choosing a care home for my loved one, is one of the hardest tasks I've undertaken but I needn't have worried. I can't believe the difference in mums wellbeing since joining Broomhills. The staff have bought out the very best in her and she enjoys the weekly trips out, craft activities and the coffee
and quiz mornings.
Nothing is too much trouble for the new manager and her remarkable team. They are very kind and caring but more importantly, they know their residents and meet their needs. The home is currently going through refurbishment and it looks amazing. The gardens and grounds are incredible and are a beautiful place to sit whilst visiting your loved ones.
A weekly visit from the hairdresser means mum feels pampered, a doctor's service is available should she need it and the monthly chiropody appointment keeps her feet in check. The access to a NHS dentist who also visits, has been a welcomed addition. Thank you for caring for mum so wonderfully, I really appreciate you all.

Broomhills is an amazing home so clean welcoming set in beautiful grounds the new manager has done an amazing job haveing home redecorated new carpets really homeley and staff are very good proper home cooking comfortable rooms with amazing views over beautiful country side my mum is very happy here
she see,s the hairdresser and has her all her needs met dentist etc there are quiet a few activitys the new manager is working tirelessley to improve and make activitys to suit everyone and also to make broomhills stand out above the rest nothing is ever to much trouble the staff especailly management and under managers and CTL go above and behond to help and make my mum feel like she is the most important person as they do each and every resident i wish they could get awards every week as they are amazing from maintaince to carers are brillant definatley check out broomhills you won,t be disapointed

I find Broomhills care home very friendly and professional. Staff are caring, and approachable and treat each resident as an individual. The activities provided are excellent. My mother in law was taken out on the day before her birthday and had a fish + chip lunch, and even a swing on a disability
swing.

My mother-in-law came into Broomhills as she lost her husband and didn't want to be alone. I have to say, the staff have gone above and beyond to settle my mother-in-law in. Gardens, room, activities are fantastic, it's like a home from home, would definitely recommend Broomhills to anyone.

We transferred Mum from a different home and she has settled in very well. Staff have made her very welcome in a very caring environment.
She will never improve as she has dementia but she is very much enjoying herself and participating in all the activities.

My mum came to Broomhills in June after a decision to remove her from the home she had been a resident in for a year and a half.
Broomhills came highly recommended from a friend of mine whose mother-in-law resides with you.
My mum seems to have settled in very well now after a small hiccup that set
her back a bit.
I cannot thank the staff enough for being so kind and attentive to her needs and making her feel so welcome.
I am of the understanding Mum is eating well and joins in the activities. There is always something going on to keep the residents occupied and a good deal of thought into what activities they do.
I am very impressed with The Tools Down idea as it gives each resident some one-on-one time with a carer to do something they like, it's a great idea.
Nothing is too much bother for the staff and they treat the residents with the kindness and care they individually deserve.

My mother-in-law became a resident in early December and we can honestly say her quality of life has improved dramatically. She settled so quickly which was down to the care, understanding and commitment of all the staff and management to give their residents a happy, safe and warm environment fulfilling
the social interaction, trips out for lunches, walks, shopping and bingo and a constant entertainment facto with singers and dancers, by staff as well and even yoga classes, cake making, the list is endless. Going from a lonely, solitary existence causing depression and anxiety and progressing the dementia, she is now happy, content, settled and enjoys her new way of life. This leaves us, as a family, happy and relieved she has taken to her new life so well and in all down to the staff of the home.

My husband came to Broomhills from another care home after suffering from illness. The staff are truly amazing, I cannot thank them enough for the care and compassion they demonstrate every day. My husband isn't an easy person to care for, but they are so patient with him, encouraging him in all aspects
of his daily life. He loves the food and personal attention he receives. Full marks and would absolutely recommend.

I didn't want to put Mom into a care home, I don't think anyone wants to do that. I was told about Broomhills so I went and visited the home. I was met by a very caring staff. The home itself is excellent, with constant care and attention for Mom. I cannot praise Broomhills enough, excellent home.

My mother-in-law spent 2 years 4 months in Broomhills Care Home. She received excellent care during this time. The manager and her staff supported my mother-in-law with patience, understanding and dignity. As a family, we always felt we had the staff's support in some very difficult situations. It is

My name is Cain. I started my career in the care sector in 2015, realising quickly that I had a passion for care, and this was the career I wanted. I joined the company in April 2019 as a night care assistant. I have worked as a night carer, night CTL, day carer, and day CTL and then became a Deputy Manager in November 2022. I gained his NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care many years before joining the company. I have also taken part in a management and leadership course. I feel I am a great support to the team and am always happy to help anyone. I joined Broomhills in July 2024 and almost immediately settled in as part of the team at Broomhills, showing kindness and compassion towards staff and residents, and has become a great part of the team.

Jean Nash

Job Title: Cook Joined: 2015

My name is Jean. I joined the team at Broomhills in March 2015. I began as a kitchen assistant.  I have a history of working in catering, and I had my own catering business before joining Broomhills. Jean was then later trained as a cook. I took over as the cook at Broomhills in 2017, providing residents with nutritious, healthy, home-cooked meals. Jean has had training in preparing modified diets. Jean has a lovely relationship with residents, often inviting them into the kitchen to help with meals and cake decorating with tools down. Jean is very passionate about her job and the importance of providing meals for residents with allergies and nutritional needs and preferences.

My name is Nicola. I joined Broomhills in 2014. I started off as a volunteer, as her grandmother was residing at Broomhills; I then became the Lifestyle Coordinator. I have been told I'm a great member of our team, with great communication skills and a great team approach, ensuring we provide the residents with a range of activities. I was a finalist in the Dementia Care Awards 2024. I also support staff by training the company's new lifestyle coordinators.

I joined Broomhills as an apprentice in December 2019. I started as a domestic staff and then wished to do an apprenticeship as a carer. I have a great work ethic and have always been kind, caring, and compassionate, building great relationships with residents, relatives, and staff. I gained my Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care and am working towards my Level 3 QCF in Health and Social Care. Paul later progressed to Care Team Leader (CTL). I won the Southeast Great British Care Awards in 2023 for putting people first. He was entered into the National Great British Care Awards 2024 and was a finalist. I have completed 2 leadership and management courses as I wish to progress further within Runwood Homes, and I’m sure I will achieve this with Broomhills and Runwood Homes support.
