Broomhills

After moving Mum to Broomhills I had to go to Canada to to be with my daughter and grandchildren and on return was faced with lockdown. So she was moved to a new care home and then left. It has been agonising for me, but thankfully all the staff have been so supportive and communicative with the family and so caring, kind and considerate with mum. Although I cant see her, the photos staff have sent me show her to be happy and positively joyful on the spa days and fun days they arranged. I cannot really comment on all the categories below as I have not been into the home since the first night - all I can say is thank you Broomhills for supporting us with care and outstanding professionalism all through this difficult time.

The staff have been brilliant with my mum and although we have not seen her, staff have sent us photographs of my mum being obviously happier than she has been for a few years. The care home is doing extremely well especially in the current circumstances and we are so glad that my mother is safe and being looked after in this brilliant home. Huge thanks to all the staff.

Our Dad has been a resident at Broomhills Care Home for approx. 5 years now. Throughout this time, we have never had cause to be concerned about the care given. Dad is settled, content and all his care needs are fully met. We have always found staff to be helpful, courteous and informative. Our Dad has complex care needs, but the Home manages them well. As a family, we are always made to feel welcome and we are involved with Dad's care plan as much as possible. There is good leadership and team spirit within the Home. The food is excellent which means a great deal to our Dad. As a family, we are so pleased that our Dad is a resident in Broomhills Care Home

Very impressed with care received - husband has Alzheimer's. He seems happy and content now after early wondering about 'coming home'! Am so pleased that he smiles and loves to be in the garden with other residents. He has always been a gardener! I am able to have a video call with him once a week 5 -10 minutes! In normal times, family and visitors always welcome!

The staff at Broomhills are very caring and compassionate with the residents, and always go that extra mile to make them feel safe and secure. They spend time to chat and encourage the residents to be as independent as possible with activities and hobbies wherever possible. They also take great care with health and well-being and keep family members informed at all times of their relative's state of health.

We are so pleased since mum has been in this care home how we have our mother back. She is back to her glamorous self, got her faculties back, her health back. She is well looked after, treated with respect and happy. She has made lots of friends with patients and staff. As prior to her being in the home, she was always ill again once going home after being in hospital who got her well.

The home provides a very high level of care for my wife. It maintains high standards of cleanliness and the staff are empathic and caring. The facility provided care for her needs and the meal service is excellent.

After a 2 week stay in the hospital, it became clear my Mum couldn't live on her own. So, after looking at several homes, we felt very despondent at the quality of what we had seen. Then by chance, we heard of Broomhills. The relief of finding this place is beyond words I can find. It is fantastic, at such an emotional time, to find home from home.

The staff are always very helpful and caring. The upkeep of the home is very impressive. The management team are excellent and along with all the other members of staff. Food is very good.

I have found all the staff to be friendly and approachable and feel confident she is getting every assistance to live her life to its best possible capacity.

All of the staff are hardworking, cheerful and friendly. They treat the residents in their care with kindness and compassion. The young care staff are a credit to themselves and Broomhills. They are some of the nicest young people I have ever met.

Dad looks really great! Very happy with the service. Really grateful for their efforts.

My Mum was loved by all and we chose this care home as opposed to a nursing home for the surroundings, the character of the building and because of the love and care given by the staff. Thank you.

From day 1, the service, care provided and facilities have been second to none. No matter what time of day you arrive, the care and attention to the client is superb. We have experience of other care homes and without exception, the staff here are excellent and they often go the extra mile to ensure both the client and the client's family, guests etc are well looked after and supported. Keep up the good work.

The staff treat the residents with such care and respect and are very welcoming to visitors. My mother has been well cared for at Broomhills.

Staff are always friendly and helpful and have looked after my Mum.

Mum seems to be doing very well in the home despite her confusion. Staff appear to have a good relationship with Mum and she with them. Mum's room is comfortable and tidy, although bed appears rather small but functional. Unsure about how much of social programme Mum gets involved in as she does not seem to remember. Would help to have a report occasionally.

We have experienced 2 care homes prior to Broomhills. How we wish we had known about Broomhills earlier! The safety and wellbeing of my mother is the home's prime concern. Staff are amazingly kind, thoughtful and attentive. As a result, Mum is really thriving, has made good friends and is happier than we have seen in her years. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you.
