Eastham

I have spent the past six months visiting Eastham and having been in alot of care homes over the years, visiting relatives, I can honestly say how impressed I am. It is always impeccably clean, no nasty smells, staff are warm and welcoming and service users well presented, clean and happy. There are an array of activities on every week and the staff work really hard to involve service users in decisions- whether this is regarding their care or simply meal choices. They ask if they have any dreams or wishes and work hard to make these a reality. The manager Karolyn is always available and works hard to make Eastham an exceptional care home.

The home is clean & well maintained.

I have been very well looked after whilst I have been here. The staff are very good and seem to know the individual needs of all the residents. I am a very fussy eater but I have managed to put on 1/2 stone whilst I have been here as I needed to put on some weight

Karolyn and the team go above and beyond for her residents and truly want the best for them. I was made to feel very welcome, and Harry always mentions that the team does so much for him and keeps him active. The residents always look happy and very cared for.

I visited a friend at Eastham, and I was very impressed. The home is so clean. The grounds are beautiful. The team are so welcoming, and my friend is well cared for. I would recommend this home to all. It is excellent.

We are always welcomed and kept in touch with all that's going on at the home. It is always clean and tidy with a constant supply of quality food, drinks, biscuits and cake. This also extends to the gardens, which are beautiful and unusual ideas they think of, e.g. bug hotel, fairy house, wellies for planters, etc.

Eastham has been fantastic since my Gran became a resident in May. The staff have made her feel so settled and safe. My gran goes out on day trips. The food always looks and smells delicious. My gran is always kept clean, she regularly sees a nurse/doctor. As a family we could not recommend Eastham anymore. Thank you Eastham.

I would describe my experience brilliant, the staff were always very helpful and supportive. The rooms/ facilities were always clean and tidy, my overall experience was good and I would 100% recommend.

Staff were so attentive, happy and polite always offered tea/coffee. The care was outstanding I couldn't ask for more for my nan. The manager was reassuring and so helpful, always got a smile on her face.

After making the awful decision to put mum into care. We chose Eastham. From day one I have had total confidence in her care. I visit regularly and have been so impressed with the smiles, care and friendly of every member of staff I have met.

The staff are always very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. A lot of activities are organised for the residents to keep them entertained and provide some exercise. The food always looks tasty and well presented.

Attended Eastham to visit relative. Good parking allocation. Pleasant, cared-for grounds. Welcomed at door, went into dining room, pleasant area to chat, plenty of chairs and some privacy. Went into lounge, quite roomy, comfortable chairs for residents. Staff friendly, offered refreshments - residents had drinks/snacks.

The care my father received in his time at Eastham was truly wonderful and I am so grateful to the hard working members of staff for everything they did for my dad. He was always happy here. We were all especially well taken care of during his final days. Heartfelt thanks to the team.

My dad was discharged to Eastham after a lengthy hospital stay. It was such a relief to see him in a homely environment where I was assured he would be safe. The building is light and the surrounding gardens are kept immaculately. Lots of wildlife to enjoy.

The staff there come across as very professional, attentive and caring. I felt at ease and more importantly, so did my dad. Communication with the leadership team was prompt and thorough.

I visited regularly and every time my dad was sitting in the lounge or dining room, joining in the activities. Dancing, singing or exercise. It felt busy and full of life. Although my dad wasn't well enough, plenty of the other residents took regular day trips out to various places in the area. Papermill lock, Burnham and Southend are some that I can remember.

I visited the home to see my friend who I grew up with when visiting the area. I was welcomed with a cup of tea and biscuits. The staff were very welcoming as I had never been to Eastham before.

Friendly, kind, relaxed atmosphere with genuine care for all residents. He felt at home whilst here and will miss all of the staff. I couldn't of asked for anymore during his stay at Eastham. Thank you to everyone, a fantastic team.
