When my mother-in-las first arrived at this home, she was extremely withdrawn after being in isolation for several weeks. She was also underweight and very sad.

The care and attention she has received have been amazing. She has gained weight, strength, and her quality of life has truly improved. She has conversations, which is excellent, and enjoys taking part in all the activists, which take place daily. She is very stimulated. We are very grateful.

This afternoon I was able to visit my mother inside Eastham for the first time since she moved in last July. It was such an emotional time for both of us. Every safeguarding requirement was carried out thoroughly to ensure the visit was safe. It was wonderful to finally walk inside and to see mum so much more relaxed in her room rather than in the pod or through a window. After such a tough few months for residents, staff and relatives and I cannot thank the staff enough for their care, support and kindness throughout this time.

My husband lived at Eastham for just short of six years. I say lived because he felt it was his home. If my husband had to live in a carehome we were both glad he was welcomed into Eastham, where he lived until he passed. Well done everyone at Eastham.

My wife has now been a resident at Eastham for over 3 1/2 years, during that time I have never had any worries about her care. During the lockdown over the past year, all staff have maintained an excellent level of security keeping all residents as safe as possible and done everything possible to allow relatives to visit in a safe manner when allowed.

Sadly my mum passed away this month. She had lived at Eastham for the past 2 1/2 years. Mum was the happiest she'd been in years. The care provided was exceptional. All staff went above and beyond and always at the end of the phone if needed.

Eastham is a lovely home and set in lovely surroundings. Mum had been here since December 2019. She is a changed person. She is much happier and settled. The home is spotlessly clean, and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful in every way.

Eastham is home from home for my mum.
It is a beautiful building and has superb views.
It is always kept spotlessly clean and fresh.
The kitchen serves wonderful and 'proper' home-cooked food and are always happy to give Mum a second helping of pudding!

The staff are wonderful, friendly and very caring and are doing a fabulous job in these very trying times. Also sending photos and videos of their daily activities, which are so wonderful to see.

Eastham is situated in a quiet rural location which, when the weather permits, is used to good effect for outside activities for the residents. The staff are first class and regularly arrange group activities focusing on individual abilities/limitations to ensure as full involvement as possible. I am happy that my mother is getting the best care possible in difficult circumstances.

Mum is very happy, which to me is everything. When we take her out she wants to go home - to Easthams so she is very settled. It's nice and small resident wise, but big enough to have social groups of their choice. They have been so, so careful during the virus, to keep everyone safe. We get videos and pictures of everyone to keep in contact and we can have video phone calls which is great. They have all worked very hard, putting their own lives on hold to make all the residents safe. Thank you all so much for all you have done.

My mother went into Eastham four weeks ago under lockdown she was isolated for a week and has settled in very well, the staff are very attentive to her and the video of them all enjoying themselves on VE Day was great. I have not been in this very small care home but I think my mother has landed on her feet I speak to the manager weekly during lockdown and she assures me that my mother is settling in well, which is confirmed when I speak to my mother. I have yet to be allowed into the home but when lockdown ends I will visit. Well done to all the staff at this very trying time.

I rang and enquired about the availability of a room for my elderly mother.
I also enquired about the level of care that my mother would receive and my access to her. I spoke with the deputy manager; she was professional, warm and very informative. I asked about the current COVID situation, and I was impressed with the deterrents and steps being taken to avoid any infection, both within the home and any visiting element. I was offered details of a room, what facilities were available. The menu choices were explained to me, and I was very pleased that diabetic options were catered for.
It was explained that due to COVID, restrictions a virtual tour could be offered, due to being unable to access the home. This made me very happy and confirmed that proper processes are in place for COVID.

The lady on the phone also told me about the activities on a normal routine and even sent me an email containing photos of the last visiting entertainment act. Amazing service.

I am the granddaughter of a resident at Eastham and I can't rate them enough.
They have gone above and beyond to keep my whole family in contact with my nan during this challenging time and my nan has always said she is happy and feels safe.
The care they have given her since she moved in (December 19) has been outstanding. We do not worry for her safety anymore and know she is in the best place to be cared for.

Thank you to you all.

The staff at Eastham showed great kindness and professionalism, caring for my mother-in-law, for the last 4 and a half years of her life. They treated her with dignity and respect and cared for her throughout, with great concern. She was able to pass away peacefully in familiar surroundings, from a chest infection, supported by attentive staff and we have no hesitation in recommending Eastham to other service users.
