The staff at Frank Foster House were welcoming, friendly and professional. My parents are both residents at the home, and all the staff I have been in contact with have been most helpful and caring, sometimes going above what would be expected. They took time to find out all the information that would make my parents feel comfortable and at home. I feel reassured that my parents are being well looked after in a pleasant, safe and caring environment.

From day 1 all of the staff at Frank Foster made us feel welcome and satisfied any concerns or queries we had. My mum settled in so quickly and its taken away any worries we had, and we're so happy with everything.

After 6 weeks in hospital we as a family made a heart hard decision to put mum in care. We wanted her safe and happy. She was welcomed into Frank Foster by Nicolas and a lovely bunch of flowers. After living in her home for 65 years it was a concern on how she would settle but despite only being there 3 weeks she has already told us she is happy, has all she needs and likes the people there and always adds the carers are so kind and lovely. When someone you love so much goes into care the settling process is so important as it not only affects the person but the family also. We sleep better at night knowing she is safe and happy. So far so good

I'm writing a review having just visited my dad today who is 88 and in the early stages of dementia. He has been living at Frank Foster just over a year now. It was a big change for him, but he has settled better than we ever hoped. He is still mobile and able to get out and about, and from the moment he arrived we were able to make his room feel very much his own - a safe, cosy haven. When too many days go by before I can visit, as happened this week, I feel worry, but consistently I find my dad comfortable, content - sometimes quite perky! Frank Foster staff are kind, friendly, courteous, patient and skilled. They work incredibly hard and look after my dad and the other residents with genuine care and the utmost respect for dignity. They have taken the time to get to know his likes and interests and make every effort to incorporate meaningful, innovative, creative activity into day-to-day life. Relatives are also involved and included as much as they ask or need to be.

My mother has been in Frank Foster House for just over 2 years and has advanced dementia. I cannot praise Frank Foster House highly enough. The home is managed and run by a team of caring, patient, committed and cheerful staff who go above and beyond to care for the needs of the residents. I could not wish for a better place for Mum to be in, and thank all the staff for all they do.

I recently attended the carnival at Frank Foster House, Theydon Bois. What a lively atmosphere. I could see most residents outside and engaged. Staff constantly talking to residents to encourage them to be engaged. Lots of food!! Even had activities out for kids who came.

Very well run, as in the home. Nothing seems too much trouble for the residents to help them enjoy the event.

I visit my aunt every couple of months, and the standards in the home are always consistent. The few staff I have ever had contact with have been pleasant and polite, and my aunt makes it very clear what staff she likes and how they care for her.

My elderly aunt was looked after by Frank Foster when it was realised by family that at the age of 93 she was unable to look after herself. She was always well looked after, very clean and given care and attention. She was not suffering from dementia. The Home Manager, along with all staff, cared for my aunt in a way that our family wanted.

I am originally from Mauritius and I started my career in Social Care at Frank Foster House in 2006 as a housekeeper. I left Runwood to become a manager of some successful care homes that were rated outstanding and decided to come back as the manager.

In 2017, I won the National Dementia Care Award for Inspiring Leader and also in 2021, I received a British Citizen Award for volunteering work in the community.

I am very proud to be part of the Frank Foster House Family, and I was amazed at the incredible support I have received from my colleagues, residents, and relatives.
