My 95-year-old mother was transferred to Frank Foster House after being discharged from hospital. She was deemed to require full-time care and is now a permanent resident at Frank Foster House. Despite all the horror stories of not being able to visit during Covid times, I was pleasantly surprised that the Home operated a Pod for visits, so I was able to visit her once a week. This gave me an opportunity to see how she was mentally and physically, and if she was settling in ok. Since the regulations have eased over the last couple of weeks I have been able to visit her in her room once having completed all the Covid formalities. All the staff I have met in Frank Foster House are very pleasant and helpful, and my questions answered. My mother's room is very clean, as seems the rest of the building that I have travelled through on the way to her room. Although I guess not always the case, there is a feeling of calm. Although my mother came here by default, I am more than happy for her to stay here.

Mum has been at Frank Foster for three years now and has been looked after well. All the staff have been happy to help and are very friendly. Mum is now having one-to-one care and this gives my sister and I peace of mind.

It was so emotional seeing mum today after 12 months of looking through a window. I cannot applaud Frank Foster enough for all the brilliant work done by the manageress and all of the staff during this tough time. Entering the house today, it was spotless and mum's room could not have been more cosy for her. I am so grateful for everything the staff have done to keep her comfortable and happy.

The care given to my father during his years at Frank Foster was consistently loving and consistently good. My father came to see Frank Foster as his home and the staff were really like a second family to him (all the more so when we were unable to visit because of the pandemic).

My mother-in-law us a resident at Frank Foster House. I am so happy with the care she is receiving and how well she looks. They call if there is a problem and when I call to speak on facetime I always get greeted by a carer, senior or even the manager answers nothing is ever too much trouble. Lovely beautiful place and staff.

My mum needed 24-hour care overnight, I looked at other care homes in the area. When I went to Frank Foster House I just turned up and the staff were very friendly and took me for a tour of the home. The residents looked very happy and were doing lots of interaction with the staff. My mum has been here for nearly 2 years and the home is outstanding. The care she receives from day to day is wonderful. Even during lockdown I get weekly reports from the manager, deputy manager and staff. I can’t fault the home at all, my mum loves it at Frank Foster as well. If I can’t get to see Mum then the staff help my mum to FaceTime me so we can keep in touch. I can’t thank all the staff for the outstanding work they do to keep our loved ones safe during this difficult time. Keep up the good work guys.

My mother joined Frank Foster home for respite care following a spell in hospital after a nasty fall. I was worried about the impact on her after a succession of moves from her home, to two hospitals and then to respite care. I really didn't know what to expect.

My fears were completely unnecessary. My mother is the happiest I have seen her in many years. She is bright, enthusiastic and loving life. She has asked to stay permanently. There are many reasons for this; firstly the staff are extremely professional and respectful in all their interactions. They are truly outstanding. Secondly, the numerous activities, my mum enjoys every day, and the activities have enabled her to make friends quickly. Also, the building is beautiful, my mother tells me every day how beautiful her room is. She loves the quality of all fixtures and fittings, she is very proud of her room and how nice it looks. She feels extremely lucky, secure and well cared for. It is so heartwarming.

My father has thankfully been at Frank Foster House for over 7 years. During the pandemic, he was taken urgently into hospital for a medical condition that he has. He went in as jovial as he normally is but after 2 weeks he was finally discharged and returned to Frank Foster House very confused. The hospital wanted him discharged to a nursing home. With the wonderful help of the management at Frank Foster House, he was finally allowed to come back to what has been his home for some time. I have visited him since and I was happy to see that he is showing signs of being back to his old self. I honestly do not think he would have survived had Frank Foster House not intervened to get him back to what I now call 'his extended family'. The management and staff are the best and I cannot thank them enough for the love and care that they have given my father, especially at a difficult time that we all face. I highly recommend this care home, your loved ones will be well cared for and you will have peace of mind.

Where to start? When we were told my mother-in-law need 24-hour care we looked at so many care homes in the Essex area. My husband and I knew we had to choose the right one first time around. We just turned up at Frank Foster House and were welcomed. My mother-in-law has been there nearly 2 years now and is loving it there. Their staff are very helpful, friendly, chatty and always willing to lend a hand in their busy day. Management are always at the end of the phone line if you need to talk, or their door is always open. During the Covid-19 lockdown all staff have worked really hard making my mother-in-law stay safe and keeping us informed with weekly reports of how she is doing or even phoning us so Mum can keep in touch, or FaceTime. Keep up the excellent work you are doing looking after all our loved ones at Frank Fosters House as we all know it can’t be easy for you all at this difficult time during Covid-19.

Hi just would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Frank Foster House. They have all been amazing, my mum had to go in due to Covid 19.

They had a very difficult situation to deal with in the home, making sure everyone was protected and looked after. My mum has had the best care and been happy, looked after with respect and dignity. I could not have asked for better.

My grandmother became a resident a few short weeks before the lockdown. The management and staff have been excellent to date, keeping the family informed, and providing ways to keep in touch during the pandemic. All the staff I have had contact with have been very friendly and professional, and have very obviously provided fantastic care under what must be very difficult and stressful conditions. So far I have nothing but high praise for them.

Very good carers. I find Frank Foster House very nice. The only thing I think is wrong is the carpets in residents rooms could be cleaner. Apart from that everything is OK.

My dad has been a resident at Frank Foster House for over a year and we have been very happy with his care throughout this time. The manager and her team are professional, kind and caring and always make time to have a chat and discuss his needs, but I especially want to mention their extra efforts during the pandemic. They regularly called me to keep me informed and reassured, they offered face time calls and recently organised a visit which was lovely. We are very happy with their care.

I cannot praise the team at Frank Foster highly enough for the care and support that they provide on a daily basis. During this very difficult time (lockdown) they have been professional in the processes that have been implemented to protect residents and staff and compassionate to the families missing their loved ones. A mobile phone was introduced for video chats! Well done to the manager and the whole team and thank you for caring for our Mum as we would.

Thank you so much to the wonderful manager and her fantastic team who have been brilliant during this extremely hard time with Covid-19 in the care that they have been giving my mum and now my brother.
They are busy, but make time to allow us to converse with my mum and my children's Nan using Whatsapp, which has helped us so much knowing she is safe and well!
Frank Foster is an amazing place.

Thank you all once again.

Frank Foster House was Mum's home for three years and I was happy with the care Mum received. When I visited, Mum always looked cared for and was always in the lounge. Also, the carers made me feel like she was an individual, not one of a number. The same with me as they welcomed me when I came to visit and updated me on any concerns they had with Mum. The home was always clean.
