My Mother was in Frank Foster for about eight years (Passed Nov 2018). My family and I were happy to leave our Mother in the care of Frank Foster workers.
The last months especially were made very comfortable for Mum, and the workers were really great with Mum and all her family.

Mum has been a resident in Frank Foster House since the beginning of September and the change in her since then has been amazing. She went in very depressed after having been extremely poorly earlier in the year, with little appetite and unsteady. Since then she is a changed person, back to having her
old spark for life and with a hearty appetite. All the staff and carers, without exception, are extremely kind, caring and have a sincere wish to ensure that the residents are happy and safe. Mum takes part in as many activities as she can, goes out for lunches and visits which is wonderful and something that, at the age of 92, I did not think I would ever see her do again. Her room is lovely and bright and clean and the food, as she says, is absolutely great. It is priceless to see her so happy again and I cannot thank the Managers, Staff and Carers enough. I would truly recommend anyone to Frank Foster House in a heartbeat.

I visited the Frank Foster care home today. I am so impressed with the gardens and the outside areas. Awash with colour and fragrance. Beautiful displays of hanging baskets and colourful garden plants. The home is immaculately kept and the feeling of tranquillity and calm greets you as you walk through
the entrance door. I walked out into the communal garden area where some of the residents were enjoying the sun. It was a pleasure to see.

My mother has only been in the home two weeks but so far every experience has been positive in comparison to other homes. Frank Foster House is so well organised. The senior staff could not be better. I feel confident my mother is in the hands of skilled professionals.

The home is well run; they are organised and always know about the residents concerned.
They have a high level of staff retention which is great as the residents know the staff well.
The staff are well trained and know what they can do or what they need to refer to someone else; they are extremely
hard working but also very kind and respectful.
There are many activities which keep the residents entertained and there are many events throughout the year.
As a relative, I also feel well informed and they have always consulted me if needed with regards to health issues.


Overall, I have been very pleased with the care and support my mum has received whilst living there for the last few years.

This is a lovely care home where the residents are treated with respect at all times. The building is maintained to an exceptionally high standard and the rooms are well decorated and appointed with flat screen Freeview tv and ensuite toilet and washbasin. The staff are friendly and welcoming and are
happy to show you around without prior notice. It is on the expensive side but then again you get what you pay for. All in all a fantastic care home.

My mother has been a resident of the Frank Foster Home since April 2017.


It is in a beautiful setting with many bedrooms overlooking Theydon Bois Village Green.


During her time here she has only been shown the greatest kindness, care and love from all the staff.


The Home is clean, well organised

and resourced, there is an ethos of staff and families working together which in turn produces a happy and relaxed atmosphere.
There is a good programme of activities for all the residents coupled with a thoughtful daily routine.
My mother feels safe in the home and is now less anxious mainly because the staff have taken time to get to know and understand her.
Recent refurbishment work has further enhanced the home's environment.


I would recommend The Frank Foster Home without hesitation.

I found Frank Foster House, based on other experiences, to be an exceptional care home. The Management have an open door policy, not just a statement, but applied as part of their code of practice.


Staff at all levels are totally committed, to the residents, and ensuring their needs are met, dignity

upheld. Maintaining the comfort, and quality of life for each resident, as seen, is given priority.
From observations, and experience, staff work very well as a team, and as required, confident to function on their own.

Visitors are always welcome, with facilities, residents and visitors can enjoy together outside of the bedroom.
A very special atmosphere exists within Frank Foster House, complimented by the design, layout and decor.

I knew as soon as I first visited, whilst looking for residential care for my mum, that this was the 'right place'. Staff are genuinely caring and patient and put residents first (eg: ensuring they were assisted whilst we were visiting) and I felt this was important.


The home is clean, food of

a high standard and the caring ethos from Manager to helpers second to none.
Residents are treated with dignity and respect and a lot of thought goes into recreational activities for them. I understand that since mum died there have been further facilities/ideas to improve resident's lives within the home. Outside trips/visits are occasionally available with staff. Safety and security is a high consideration and visitors encouraged to maintain this.
I would not hesitate to recommend Frank Foster House to others and cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for mum whilst she was there.

My mother lived at Frank Foster House for 18 months. She was extremely happy there and always classed it as "home". The carers met her every need both physically and emotionally and often went the extra mile. I cannot speak highly enough of all at Frank Foster House who made the final months of my mother's
life very happy.

I am originally from Mauritius and I started my career in Social Care at Frank Foster House in 2006 as a housekeeper. I left Runwood to become a manager of some successful care homes that were rated outstanding and decided to come back as the manager.


In 2017, I won the National Dementia Care Award for Inspiring Leader and also in 2021, I received a British Citizen Award for volunteering work in the community.


I am very proud to be part of the Frank Foster House Family, and I was amazed at the incredible support I have received from my colleagues, residents, and relatives. I enjoy seeing the residents happy and well looked after, and I am proud to be able to lead the team in reaching an excellent standard of care.
