Nestled in the leafy village of Theydon Bois, Frank Foster House offers a magical world within its walls. Sensory items on the walls, to touch, to listen to, to see. The sea life scene on the first floor is exquisite.

In addition, Frank Foster have created a 21st Century room with a computer for internet surfing and emails together with the Wii games. In great contrast is the small Chapel for tranquillity and religious wishes.

My sister who is a resident in Frank Foster House has been there for about a month and is quite happy there. The staff and management are very helpful and are always happy to help if you have a problem. On Saturday 11th June they held a street party for the Queens Birthday and held a BBQ which was very
nice. They also had a very good singer to entertain the residents and family who attended, it must have had a lot of effort put into it to be such a success.

When I visited (in a social cull) I was very impressed with the decoration and overall cleanliness of the home. I enjoyed meeting members of the staff again, and having chats with various people who live there. All said how happy and well cared for they were by the staff. My brother who unfortunately
died last June, would have loved it.
I found the manager very very helpful and considerate to all and I am so pleased that I called in again. I have a friend who has been to see Frank Foster's who was also very impressed and he has his mothers name on the waiting list. We as a family recommend Frank Fosters.

My mother in law's health and well being has improved dramatically since moving into Frank Foster House. She has made friends, participates in activities which were unavailable before, eats well and is cared for and assisted in all her needs in a very professional manner.

Mum looks well and looks very well cared for and settled (although she's forgetful!). Her room is clean as is the rest of the home. Everyone we have come in contact with is friendly and helpful. Mum looks so much better than when she first came in. Thank you.

It has been a while since my last visit and I cannot believe the complete change of atmosphere here. Residents seem happier than ever, staff appear happier and the home just feels like a new place. The decor has been updated and feels fresh and inviting, especially in the dining and activity/relaxing
rooms. A few residents insisted I saw the new wallpaper and fire. A few faces that were once glum, seem genuinely more upbeat and many were proud to show the new look off to me and my young family. Well done!

I am originally from Mauritius and I started my career in Social Care at Frank Foster House in 2006 as a housekeeper. I left Runwood to become a manager of some successful care homes that were rated outstanding and decided to come back as the manager.


In 2017, I won the National Dementia Care Award for Inspiring Leader and also in 2021, I received a British Citizen Award for volunteering work in the community.


I am very proud to be part of the Frank Foster House Family, and I was amazed at the incredible support I have received from my colleagues, residents, and relatives. I enjoy seeing the residents happy and well looked after, and I am proud to be able to lead the team in reaching an excellent standard of care.
