Friendly staff. My mum is well looked after and is known by everyone. Always a friendly greeting on arrival.

My father has only been here for two months but has settled in very well. Found the staff very kind and caring towards him.

All the staff are very friendly and call mum by her name. The house is always clean. We are happy that mum is being looked after with care, dignity and friendliness.

Whilst the staff do their utmost for my mother and I can't complain about the care, there have been a few issues. The buzzer was not working on the first night, washing/laundry keeps going missing, there is a smell of urine in pockets of the building. Also, whilst there are activities at the home, it is so big, they might be in a different part of the building and on a different floor, and unfortunately the staff don't have time to take my mum to them - understaffed.

I would like to thank all the staff at Elizabeth House for the amazing work they do in the home. My mum recently lost her brother and from the time we visited to tell her the sad news until today when she said goodbye - the love and care has been amazing.

We arrived back at the home early this afternoon to find they were having a country and western afternoon, the staff immediately started to involve my mum knowing she had been to a funeral and would be feeling very sad.

Mum sat with her friends and it was heart melting to see her smile after what she went through in the morning just hours earlier.

We also like the new changes that are happening around the home like the wedding wall and the bar and seems like there are more new things to come.

But last but not least, thank you to all the staff you are all truly amazing and always make us feel welcome and at home and to see the change in my mum in the year that she has been with you is truly amazing she's like a different women.

A care home is really only as good as the staff it employs and on the whole the staff are caring and considerate to the residents. I do feel that could do with 1 more carer all day on the floor I visit, this would be beneficial for residents and staff. There used to be more entertainment/stimulation for residents but I think this may change now they have a new manager. Think the food could do with some improvement especially the soft food diet.

I have visited my aunt on several occasions recently. Her health has deteriorated a lot, she has lucid and very confused spells but when given a drink becomes more lucid. Not happy about the falls etc. She is 92 and thin and she supposedly fell out of bed about 4 times altogether!!! My view on the home is not good as they need more staff. Especially at night, she seems to fall a lot. At night my aunt goes every day to see her and is shocked by what greets her.

Absolutely great home. Anything as regards to a concern or care is dealt with at once. Can't fault the home or worker.

The care home is most satisfactory for my mother. Staff are polite and always friendly. My mother tells me often how kind they are to her.

My mother entered Elizabeth House and had "forgotten" how to walk. I am most impressed by the prompt action of the CTM to arrange a physiotherapist but more important her action to encourage all staff to keep trying to stimulate my mother into action. We have had some success which is brilliant. They never give up wanting the best for their residents. Thank you.

My wife became ill and the CTM was extremely concerned. My daughter told the CTM she has seen these symptoms before and suggested bed rest rather than call for an ambulance. The CTM followed my daughters wished but continually monitored my wife. Her care and that of her team is first rate. They are always supportive of my wife (and me too). I feel very fortunate and can't thank them enough. Thank you.

I have had to make almost weekly complaints about the level of care given at EH for over 2 years to my friend. Investigations have taken place by the regional manager and explanations have been given but still I have cause for concern.
Unclean nails, no shave given, teeth not brushed, missing clothing and shoes, unironed clothing etc. My friend's care plan has not been followed on a regular basis and in the past there have been omissions of what care has been given.
EH decor and gardens are amazing but they need to concentrate on the basics, not the facade. Fresh flowers in reception and newly painted interior give a good impression but personal care standards are lacking.
Most of the staff do their best but with so many residents they struggle. There is very little stimulation for residents and although things have improved slightly with a new manager it is still not a home that I would recommend.

Have had many complaints meetings, even had the owner of the home to one meeting about the home, my sister's hygiene not having showers or baths. Have complained many times, have now got this problem sorted, not enough stimulation for people in home. My sister is only 68 and spends most of the day in her bedroom with the curtains shut just watching TV.
I take her out when I can, we also send her one day a week to the local centre for stimulation, the staff work hard and are all kind to my sister. It's hard work short staff mean not a lot of time for people.
