I would just like to express my appreciation the care my mother receives. My mum is generally a very quiet lady, but since being in the care of these lovely caring ladies that care for her, she has been doing all sorts of activities, knitting, dancing at This Year Fete. Above all she is chatting to the ladies on her floor, I never thought I would see.
My mum is Happy, always looks clean and tidy.
Honestly the staff are genuinely caring people that do their job with love and kindness to all the residents.
When I go to see my mum I have to think " right where's and what is doing today " surprisingly she doing something!
Then when I leave her - I have a little Giggle to myself- Thinking yeah she's okay.
Thank You Elizabeth House, I can sleep at night.

God Bless You All

Everyone is very caring at Elizabeth House. My mother is treated with dignity and respect. Her carers are lovely and I couldn't wish for any more in what is a very sad and difficult situation. When I visit you are made to feel very welcome and I always feel comfortable to ask questions about my mothers care. The home is very clean and well-decorated. My mother is very happy at Elizabeth House, and I am happy she is a resident there.

The home is spotless. From the moment you walk through the door you can feel the warm, positive atmosphere. Everyone is smiling and friendly, they genuinely care.
What's really stood out is how well the team have got to know my nan in such a short space of time. It was so important to me, as her sole carer, that she was somewhere she was safe and looked after.
The activities are incredible! She's knitting again, enjoying visits from local schools, and she's been to coffee shops and garden centres. She also loves the food!
The staff are amazing. Dawn, Prince, Ade, Vicky, Karen, Jess, and everyone else I've met (am sorry not to remember all your names!) have been brilliant. They really go above and beyond.

Moving her here was the best decision we could have made. She's thriving, she's safe, and she's living her life again. Thank you doesn't feel like enough.

Elizabeth House is outstanding. When Mum first arrived she wanted to go home, but then Elizabeth House became her home - a place where she felt warm, secure and surrounded by people who had her best interests at heart.

She had nothing but praise for the staff. That sentiment is shared by her children.

She always received prompt medical care when needed - much better than if she were at home struggling to contact and see a doctor.

Sadly, we lost our mum on 13th December. Mum was with Elizabeth House for 2 years. The care she received was amazing. The carers were loving, caring and understanding of mum's needs. We also were always supported. In mum's final days, the care she was given was outstanding. They gave my mum dignity, love and respect. They all clearly loved mum and was very upset when she passed. We can not thank all the people at Elizabeth House enough for the love, support and care you gave mum and us over the 2 years.

I visited my friend on Poppy unit. The home was clean, and all residents were engaged in activities laughing and enjoying themselves. It was a pleasure to see. All residents were clean and presentable. You could see they genuinely cared and enjoyed their job. My friend was full of joy, and that was very reassuring to see.

My mum became a resident in August and sadly passed away in October. For the relatively short time she was there i visited 3 times a week and always found the home to be spotless and all the staff to be very caring. I would especially like to thank Dawn who understood my mum from the moment she met her and was my absolute rock when I needed her. Mum had some good converations with the staff and although she was pretty much confined to her room, which was her choice, she knew lots of the names of the very kind men and women that cared for her every need. Although mum never made use of the facilities, other than 1 trip to the hairdresser, I am aware there were many activities available had she been able to or chosen to join in. I would not hesitate in recommending Elizabeth House to anybody looking for a care home for a relative.

It's a big thank you from me to all the staff.

The biggest of ongoing problem, is the lack of staff. When you call for assistance there is often an unacceptable wait. This is very poor, especially when waiting for toilet issues. Also the food is terrible, it arrives lukewarm and often barely edible. The quality of presentation are both dreadful. There as been occasion when my mother has not received any food at all or, has received lunch but no dessert. Last week her dessert that was available, was custard with cream. Just yesterday, there was no butter to add to a sandwich. For the fee charged, this does not represent good value at all.

The home after a dodgy start for my mum is more settled now. The staff seem amazing and passionate about what they do but one thing I would say is the awful smell as you walk through the corridors to get to your relative.. I know it's a home but surely something can be done I personally know what could be done and happy to discuss it. It's so unbearable and that bad I put a few diffusers in my mother's room. Windows could be open to let the wire blow through more of diffusers in the corridors. I would be happy for runwood to contact me to suggest.. my mum's room floor always looks like it needs a good hoover and mop.. maybe more frequent cleaning could be done and spray through the corridors..

Lemongrass is a great smell diffuser and citrus smells.. as I said I do have suggestions. It awful and such a nice home too.
