Over all time Elizabeth House has 150 reviews.
My husband has lived in Elizabeth House for the past year, as he has Dementia and I could no longer care for him at home. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are kept clean and residents are well cared for.
The facilities are always clean, Mum was looked after well and other than some minor gripes occasionally, the emotional and physical care that she received was amazing.
What was absolutely exceptional was the team in ‘downstairs Poppy’, who, towards the end of Mum's time, were absolutely amazing. We could not fault the care and attention that they gave to Mum and also the support they gave to us as a family.
We will never forget her last few days and how wonderfully peaceful they were made for her. The loss was clearly evident on her carer's faces too; they made time at the end of every shift to come in and see how she was and also wanted some time with her when she passed to say their goodbyes.
Thank you.
Dad is now 101 and resident 16 months. Elizabeth House is warm, welcoming, caring, fresh and clean. Lots of activities and a cheerful, friendly staff, always ready to listen. food good and a wide choice. Highly recommended.
Dad is settled and I have no problems with the care home at this time. His room is always clean and tidy. He enjoys the food and activities. The staff are really friendly and dad has a great relationship with them.
An outstanding place for my aunt to be in. All the staff treat all residents like their own family. There is nothing I can say wrong about this place. From the moment I enter the building to the time I leave, I see only helpful staff making sure residents are relaxed rested and well looked after. The social media page also helps wonders, as we get to see a more in-depth side to the care and laughs given. I could go on and on.
Lovely place! Amazing reception staff! Clean, tidy and good carers.
Well cared for, made comfortable, friendly and helpful staff.
My mother moved to Elizabeth House in May 2023. She has dementia and zero mobility. Since moving to Elizabeth House, her eating and drinking have improved. She is also happy and seems well cared for. Elizabeth House is always clean and tidy, and all staff are welcoming and caring. Other than meal times, there are no restrictions on visiting. This is a massive benefit, as I am able to visit in the evening after work. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth House.
Very happy with the care my dad receives. The staff are all friendly and kind and happy to help with any questions.
Staff are very professional and kind.
Sadly, my mother passed away in the care of Elizabeth House after 2 weeks. The support on this difficult day was excellent - thank you all.
Clean, caring, and supportive.
Mum has been with Elizabeth House for a year now, her anniversary was this week. She did take a while to settle but we feel as a family more than happy with the care and consideration she is shown. Mum says the staff are lovely. The Home regularly run day trips or gets entertainers in for the benefit of the residents. One of the highlights for us was the photo on social media of a miniature pony in Mum's room (which she loved!). If we have had any concerns with Mum's well-being we have been listened to and solutions are found to make Mum as comfortable as possible. One criticism if any is the laundry system - we do Mum's laundry rather than listen to the problems of things going missing or wrong clothes returned. We are comfortable with our decision to choose Elizabeth House and actually recommend this Home. Thank you to all the staff for the care you give Mum.
I would just like to say that after my previous review stating that Mum's room was very basic, her lovely carer has been on the cars to get her a better room! No sooner said than done Mum has been moved into a lovely bright room and just to see a smile on her face is priceless. They really do care and want their residents to be happy. A special thank you to the bluebell team!
My mother has been at Elizabeth House for a year. She settled in well; she’s comfortable and well cared for. The staff are friendly, treat her with kindness and respect, and keep me informed of how she’s doing.
Thank you so much for your review. We are really pleased to know that you are happy with our service, and I will pass on your comments to our team.
They are helpful when specific needs are raised.
Some basic care, e.g. changing our resident's clothes regularly, cutting fingernails, and ensuring teeth are cleaned, could be improved.
Thank you for your review. I assure you these concerns are being taken seriously and will be resolved.
My sister has been in Elizabeth House for the last four years and settled into her situation very well. I am very pleased with the way she is treated and cared for. There has never been any issue presented itself that has caused any problem for my sister or myself. The staff that I have encountered in any position are very pleasant, helpful, competent and professional. The home is modern, bright, warm, comfortable and very well-maintained. Therefore, I can easily recommend the Elizabeth House care home for anyone looking for good treatment and peace of mind for themselves or a family member.

The staff team are working very hard to do their best for the residents. I was also impressed on a previous visit this week to see staff training taking place in the cafe area. Staff have been very good in their communication whenever anything needs to be reported about our mum, and they do as much as possible to understand her needs and requirements. They have been excellent.

The staff are very friendly and very helpful. They really do care for the residents. My mum is very happy in the home and all staff are very friendly and helpful to her as well as caring. She has some special friends in there.

Elizabeth House in Benfleet is such a lovely place. The staff are great, and my mum feels so happy. When we take her out, she looks forward to going back. They look after her so well and always make a fuss of her, as I have seen them do to other residents also. They let me know when they are taking her out and keep me informed of everything. I would rate this as 10 out of 10.
Thank you so much for your review. We are really pleased to know that you are happy with our service, and I will pass on your comments to our team.
I have never known such a lovely home where all relatives are made to feel so welcome, and knowing my dad is getting the best care in a lovely setting is a huge weight off my mind. There are always activities, and every member of staff I see has a nice smile, and the residents are relaxed. The food looks really nice aswell. Any problems with Dad, I am notified straightaway... I can not find fault with Elizabeth House.
