Health problems arose regarding my mum on several occasions this was mentioned to the Care Transitions Measure and the problems were investigated and quickly rectified.

Staff have always treated Mum with respect and love when we could not be there.

Placing Mum in care a number of years ago was a heart-wrenching decision, but something that the local authority insisted happened. Elizabeth House had received some great reviews and it was close to where Mum lived so seemed like the ideal option.
The staff at the home really do have Mum's best interest at heart and always try their very best for her attempting to keep her occupied.

The home is clean and well looked after with plenty of space for visitors to sit and talk with their loved ones.

Attended charity morning. It was so lovely to see everyone together, smiling and having a natter. Carers were very attentive to all the residents - constantly checking they are ok and supplying them with cake and tea. Such a warm, friendly and welcoming environment for all ages. Could do with more advertisement of activities/days families are welcome to join in with.

My experience of Elizabeth House has been excellent. Everyone that I meet who works here has been helpful, kind and considerate.

The facilities are always spotlessly clean. My mother loves it here. She enjoys the care and attention that she receives on a daily basis. The atmosphere here is homely and welcoming. Fabulous! We couldn't ask for more.

Mum came in for a short stay, the staff were wonderful especially as they were not expecting her till the following day (due to the discharge team making an appalling error). We couldn't have asked for better care for Mum. All the staff I met were friendly, cheerful and it made me relax knowing Mum was well cared for. Thank you all. God bless you.

Elizabeth House and all of its staff are utterly superb! My Nan turned 100 in June and they made this momentous occasion absolutely fantastic! The conservatory was decorated by the carers and they felt like part of the family as we all prepared for the celebrations - some even came to share their best wishes on their day off! That said, every day must feel like a party with the range of activities the staff do with the residents - all documented on the home's Facebook page for our family to see. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile. The staff have welcomed my Nan in and have made her feel like she is 'home'. We never imagined we could’ve found a place like this but so grateful that we did. Thank you so much.

We have just spent a wonderful afternoon celebrating our mum's 100th birthday at Elizabeth House. We were allowed to have a small family gathering in the conservatory and the amazing staff had decorated the room with banners and balloons. We could not have wished for a better place to celebrate this milestone with our mum. All the staff and carers are amazing and we are eternally grateful to have found the very best care home. We are amazed that it only rates as Good - it absolutely should be Excellent!

My mother was sent to Elizabeth House Care Home in April 2021 from hospital. She could no longer look after herself and to my family's relief, she was somewhere being looked after and monitored. She was there for exactly one year until she passed away recently and I can only thank the staff there for everything they did for her, it is a difficult job with little reward and all done on a tight budget. So I thank them all from reception to the top for her care.

My mum went into Elizabeth House for two weeks respite after suffering a nasty fall in her own home. The staff at Elizabeth House are helpful, friendly and supportive. The area I have seen (cos of Covid) are spotlessly clean. My father, I can see is well cared for. The staff were amazing when my father had Covid. I have not commented on food and drink and activities because I not no personal experience. My father complains about the food not being very good - especially the fish and chips, soggy, overcooked veg. For the cost, I would like to think he's exaggerating, but as we have no knowledge of the quality of food as a visitor, this is difficult. I hope veg isn't overcooked as it's crucial to health. I can't comment on activities as Covid makes this difficult. I am only aware of quizzes taking place. My father stated that they are children's quizzes to cater to residents with dementia. I would like to know if this is true or not - my fathers not a reliable source of information! My father says they're too easy. I think it would be a good idea - post covid- if residents could invite a family/friend for lunch so we can see for ourselves what the food is like.

My mother moved into Elizabeth House in February 2020, just before lockdown. In her eighties with dementia and having just lost dad, her husband of 60 years. It was a huge decision to move her out of her home to full-time care. The staff are amazing, caring and mum is happy, which is all we can ask for. Mum's room is bright, clean and homely and she is settled and content. Thank you so much!

During covid lockdowns, over the past year, this care home and its staff have gone above and beyond at all times. They have our thanks. My mother had dementia and it's hard for her without family contact. She tells me (staff) they sit and chat, and hold her hand. She is never left alone or wanting for anything ever. She is very happy here, and they look after you, don't make you do anything.
