I stayed at Elizabeth House for a weeks respite care when my daughter went on holiday over Easter. I had a wonderful stay with excellent care from everyone good food, care and support everyone was so kind and helpful. My mother has just completed a respite stay at Elizabeth House and the care she received was excellent. All the staff treated her with care and consideration, they looked after her every need. I was worried about putting my mother into a respite for the first time but they took such good care of her
that I would have no hesitation in using Elizabeth House next time my mother needs respite.

Sadly my mother's health has started to go downhill quickly of late so she requires extra care and attention. All the staff I have seen in the Bluebell section have all shown that extra that is required. And all done with a smile.

Since my mother came to Elizabeth House three years ago, I have been confident that she was in a home where the staff and management would give her the care I wanted her to have. My confidence came from the quality of the CTM's whose guidance created a caring environment and assurance that quality was
at the centre of what the owners represented. I am especially grateful to the CTM's and certain staff members as mentioned during my conversation with the new manager.

My husband has been in Elizabeth House since January 2018 due to my having lung surgery in January. Due to the condition of my health, he is likely to be there for quite a while or even permanently. The staff have been brilliant in helping him adjust. Nothing is too much trouble.

My mum is safe and that gives my family peace of mind. The staff are very attentive and encourage my mum to come out of her room and socialise with the other residents. Everyone at Elizabeth House goes above and beyond to make life as comfortable and happy for my mum. They are very friendly and always
make time to talk about mum's welfare and help me address any concerns I may have regarding the deterioration of mum's memory.

My mother, who is 97, has been a resident for four years. During that time her care has been good, or very good. I am in to see her four times a week, so if anything was wrong I would know, and the home knows I would know. My only concern is the high churn rate of
Home Managers. I only just get to
know them and they have gone, whether for good or bad reasons.
All in all Elizabeth House is good, clean and caring.

We attended a bingo session, it was fun. I called out the numbers on the second game.
It is a really good idea to (try to) stimulate the residents.
These antics got the ladies and me interested - full marks to the organiser.
Mum is still a new arrival but is coping, not easy leaving your lifelong
home.
The corridors do smell a little of urine, care is excellent. Mum's room is very nice and clean. Keep up the good work. The manager is excellent.

Dad has been here since November 2017.
At first he, like most, wanted to go home all the time but as time has gone on, he has settled in really well. He seems to really like it here.
Mum comes to visit him twice a week and has lunch with him which is nice for them both.
Carers are good, so all in

Welcome to Elizabeth House, where you can find out all you need to know about our wonderful home. My name is Ade, and I am the Home Manager. We are a 108-bedroom, spacious, and newly furbished home located on Benfleet Road. The home consists of two units; Poppy and Bluebell. Each unit is set over two floors and is equipped with its own lounge and dining rooms.


We have so much to offer here at Elizabeth House, including an on-site hairdressing salon, a shop, the Garden Café, a bar, a library and a sports room. Some of our regular activities throughout the home include bingo, quizzes, karaoke, arts and crafts and more. Our chef creates very nutritious and appetising meals for residents.


We invite you to pop in and have a look around the home and ask any and all questions you have. We are always happy to help in any way we can. We are so proud of our home and look forward to sharing it with you.

I'm Karen Burrows; I'm the Lifestyle Coordinator. I have worked at Elizabeth House for 10 years. I organise and plan our activities in the home and trips out with our residents. I am a fun, entertaining lady; I'm always willing to take the lead, dress up, and join in to make the residents happy. I'm always cheerful and jolly and get the carers and other team members involved. I enjoy looking around the shops in her spare time for raffle prizes to raise money for our residents and the home. I also use my free time to search social media for any new ideas, new activities, or events we can hold for something different. I say that it makes me happy to go home of an evening knowing the residents have had fun and are happy and smiling.

Hi, I’m Tracey Lennette, and I’ve been the Head Cook at Elizabeth House for 2 years. I take great pride in creating nutritious, well-balanced meals that cater to the individual dietary needs and preferences of our residents.


I lead a team of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation. I work closely with my team, carers, and residents to accommodate any special dietary or allergy requirements. It’s important to me that every meal not only nourishes our residents but also brings them enjoyment and comfort.
