Elizabeth House is outstanding. When Mum first arrived she wanted to go home, but then Elizabeth House became her home - a place where she felt warm, secure and surrounded by people who had her best interests at heart.
She had nothing but praise for the staff. That sentiment is shared by her
children.
She always received prompt medical care when needed - much better than if she were at home struggling to contact and see a doctor.

Staff work very hard caring for the elderly. Dawn, Prince, Alan, Donna and many others look after my father, make him laugh every day.

Sadly, we lost our mum on 13th December. Mum was with Elizabeth House for 2 years. The care she received was amazing. The carers were loving, caring and understanding of mum's needs. We also were always supported. In mum's final days, the care she was given was outstanding. They gave my mum dignity,
love and respect. They all clearly loved mum and was very upset when she passed. We can not thank all the people at Elizabeth House enough for the love, support and care you gave mum and us over the 2 years.

Can't thank everyone, and I mean everyone, at Elizabeth House.
First class the way mum was looked after. Even in the most difficult times, they was just brilliant.
Will be forever grateful.

Provides very good care for my mum. Staff very friendly and engaging. Always warm and welcoming.
Only suggestion is the dining/lounge very dated, shame it is not separated for eating and relaxing!

In the few months mother has been here, she has been treated with respect and helpful kindness. She has developed a happy bond with staff, trusting them to look after her needs.
We, as a family, are pleased with how Mother has settled in.
We also have nothing but praise for the staff that attend
to her.

I visited my friend on Poppy unit. The home was clean, and all residents were engaged in activities laughing and enjoying themselves. It was a pleasure to see. All residents were clean and presentable. You could see they genuinely cared and enjoyed their job. My friend was full of joy, and that was
very reassuring to see.

My mum became a resident in August and sadly passed away in October. For the relatively short time she was there i visited 3 times a week and always found the home to be spotless and all the staff to be very caring. I would especially like to thank Dawn who understood my mum from the moment she met
her and was my absolute rock when I needed her. Mum had some good converations with the staff and although she was pretty much confined to her room, which was her choice, she knew lots of the names of the very kind men and women that cared for her every need. Although mum never made use of the facilities, other than 1 trip to the hairdresser, I am aware there were many activities available had she been able to or chosen to join in. I would not hesitate in recommending Elizabeth House to anybody looking for a care home for a relative.
It's a big thank you from me to all the staff.

The biggest of ongoing problem, is the lack of staff. When you call for assistance there is often an unacceptable wait. This is very poor, especially when waiting for toilet issues. Also the food is terrible, it arrives lukewarm and often barely edible. The quality of presentation are both dreadful.
There as been occasion when my mother has not received any food at all or, has received lunch but no dessert. Last week her dessert that was available, was custard with cream. Just yesterday, there was no butter to add to a sandwich. For the fee charged, this does not represent good value at all.

The home after a dodgy start for my mum is more settled now. The staff seem amazing and passionate about what they do but one thing I would say is the awful smell as you walk through the corridors to get to your relative.. I know it's a home but surely something can be done I personally know what
could be done and happy to discuss it. It's so unbearable and that bad I put a few diffusers in my mother's room. Windows could be open to let the wire blow through more of diffusers in the corridors. I would be happy for runwood to contact me to suggest.. my mum's room floor always looks like it needs a good hoover and mop.. maybe more frequent cleaning could be done and spray through the corridors..
Lemongrass is a great smell diffuser and citrus smells.. as I said I do have suggestions. It awful and such a nice home too.

When we have visited my dad looks well cared for, all staff know his needs and care very much for him. His room is always very clean. My dad seems happy in the home, although it breaks my heart this is how his life has become. The home is very lovely and caring.

My assessment is based on my 2 visits per week. I have always found the staff very approachable and helpful. Although my mother does not take advantage, the activities and facilities at the home are excellent.
My mother's views are not totally reliable but she does complain quite regularly about
the night staff and a perceived lack of care. For myself, my only criticism is with my mum's room. The layout of the room means that she is unable to get to the window to pull the curtains and her carpet badly needs replacing or hard flooring installed.

This is a lovely safe and caring home. It is wonderful to see all the residents and staff together and having that social interaction when I go into see my brother he always has a smile on his face. And he tells me what he has been up to. He said to me that is so many things going on here and my
brother loves to go out on the trips here, all the staff are really kind and they treat the residents life family.

My Mum has been a resident at Elizabeth House since last July. I have found all the staff extremely caring. The care team leaders always keep me in touch, either personally when I visit or via a telephone call with any issues that may have occured. There's always things going on to keep the
residents occupied. Either trips out or activities arranged in house. Overall I have found it to be a great care home and would thoroughly recommend.
