Brewster House

My mom resided at Brewster House for 4 years. She loved being there & was looked after so well by all the carers. It was a comfort to me to know that my mom was safe & being well cared for. I cannot fault the home at all, everyone was lovely & I was called on a regular basis to keep me updated & reassured. Definately 5 Star. I would also like to add that Paula the manager was more than helpful she was caring and kind throughout my mums last few days. A big thankyou to Paula and her team you were all first class Thankyou

My Grandmother has been in this home since 2023 and since she entered she has had a smile on her face. Brewster house is accommodating and great with resident's needs! Their meals are varied and nutritious with multiple options everyday, facilities are always lovely and clean, staff are always happy to help in anyway they can and always greet you with a smile on their faces. They have decorated my Grandmother's room to her liking and cleaned regularly! They take the residents out on regular, enriching activities that the residents both value and enjoy! The security in the building is superb and the staff care for each individual resident to the best of respect, dignity and cleanliness. Communication from the care home is consistent and amazing with constant updates on both our Grandmother's mental and physical health. Excellent care home, I could not wish for any better for my Grandmother and I am glad that she had the opportunity to be cared for by this amazing home!

My mum has been a resident at Brewster house for 3 years now. She was isolated in her home for 15 years before this, not eating and not getting any medical treatment. Brewster house has changed her life. She is a good healthy weight, she has energy, she is happy, she gets recurrent infections due to her illness and they are treated quickly before they can progress. She has gone from not wanting to speak to anyone to being the most sociable person! She is on the right medications now so her health is the best its ever been. She loves the trips she goes on and has so many friends for the furst time in a long time! Staff are just fantastic with her and treat her like a person and not a client. She has a better social calender than me and is always doing different activities! Communication is fantastic from staff! Both if there are any concerns with mum and weekly updates on activities planned and trips, the Activity manager Leoni does a really great job of varied activities!!

My brother has been in Brewster House for almost six month now and is settled and very happy and content. Alan the manager is so caring and is always available and ready to listen, its obvious he cares very much and I know his team speak highly if him. His team are amazing and always are willing to help whenever we ask. i can relax and know my brother is being taken care of and truly likes all of his carers and its always a nice atmosphere. with a welcoming smile

I can't express how wonderful the staff are to Mum and would recommend Brewster House 100%.

Having gone through some devastating changes, Mum was really struggling to live independtly so residential care was the wisest choice. From first contact the staff & management have listened to us, acted quickly to address any concerns & provided Mum with all she needs & more. She is always busy with activities & is enjoying the food. She is slowly settling in & seems happier.

My husband has been in Brewster House since August 2025. The staff are excellent and the cleaning staff. Everyone there are caring and always cheerful. I am very pleased with the way my husband is cared for.

I really do think that all the staff led by the Management team try their very best to set a high standard.

Greatest asset here are management & staff who without their conduct/performance would impact my opinion.

I would like to say that the home is lovely and all the staff are fantastic and I could not wish for my dad to be in a better place.

Outstanding care for my mum, lunch a joy for her she gets to choose from two meals daily! And she is called 'Mum' so lovely!

Each time I visit my friend I am more impressed

I really look forward to my visits to the home to see my mum as there is always so much going on and it's great to get to meet and know the other residents and their families along with her new friends. We are very pleased indeed with her care.

The staff have been friendly, considerate and attentive.

My mum was admitted for an interim stay. She has dementia and seizures. The rooms are well laid out. The staff are excellent, caring and my mum was well looked after. Food choices very good. An excellent facility.

I was afraid that my independent friend, having lived alone for most of his adult life, would be unhappy in a care home; but very quickly, he settled down, saying 'The staff here are so lovely. They really look after me and are so kind.' He once said 'I am going to buy an electric scooter. I'd like to see where I used to live once more, and stroke my cat, and then come back here.' What a recommendation! I am impressed by his neat little room, the alarm, the en-suite and the lightness. I am, as a visitor, always greeted and treated by all the staff and given time and patient consideration by the manager.

Since moving to Brewster House mum has been cared for well. My first impressions were of a clean comfortable home, where the staff appear happy, helpful and caring, six weeks later my first impressions have been reinforced. I can't comment on value for money as to date social services have been paying.

My parent came to Brewster House at the end of last year from the hospital, so we had no idea what to expect. We have been pleasantly surprised on all fronts from the level of care and attention, the kindness and caring from all staff, cleanliness (including no smells!), the standard of the food and the constant stream of activities the Home organises. My parent has even been taken out to the cinema! The staff are very proactive and attentive. Thank you so much to all the staff.

Brewster House has created a caring, diligent and calm home environment for those staying there, sprinkled with a bit of fun, crazy and entertaining activities for those who want it. Everyone has a smile for you and there's not really anything else we could ask for.
