The staff member had made a beautiful presentation for our special Valentines lunch. She waited on us and we were served a lovely meal. Other staff supported her and we had a very happy experience. Nothing too much trouble. Thank you very much to everyone involved.

Under the previous manager the experience of admitting my mum was a complete nightmare (July '25). We had to navigate the system blindfold and found things out by chance. Now, however, the management team are very supportive and take notice of any personal requests. The medical care is very good providing
prompt and regular intervention. The carers are excellent but do seem to be overworked, tired and stressed out.
Reply from Tracey Reynolds, Senior Manager at Liberty HouseThank you for sharing your experience.
We're very sorry that the admission process in July 2025 was so difficult for you and your mum. That's not the experience we want for any family.
We're pleased to hear that the current management team has been supportive and attentive to personal requests, and that you're happy with the medical care provided. Your kind words about our carers mean a lot. We also take your comments about staff workload seriously and continue to review how we can best support our team.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback.

Christmas at the home was a wonderful experience. There were lots of activities for residents and family/ friends to participate in. The staff went above and beyond expectations. It was lovely to see decorations on christmas trees that the residents had made. We had a brilliant afternoon tea, and the
elf day was superb. The staff here are wonderful and a great asset to Liberty care home. They all deserve recognition for what they do!

I can only say since the new manager has taken over everyone is much happier in themselves. Management is easier to talk to, nothing is too much trouble. All staff are so polite and cannot do enough for you. Then entertainment team are a massive plus, always on the go and terrific. They do some fabulous
activities which also can include families to join in. A big thank you to you all. Keep up the good work. A big thank you to Shelby when we first came to view the care home, was very obliging and listened to my concerns. This is a happy home my mum calls it Liberty Hotel!! Keep the good work up girls and boys!

Medication mix up first week.
Sometimes not given sippy cup and when given one many have been chewed - need throwing away.
Curtains not opened sometimes in the day. Mum bed bound and has Alzheimer's so sometimes doesn't know if it is day or night time.
Asked from day one if she could have her hair
cut and it took 9 weeks.
Was changed after a bowel movement and excrement left smeared on bed bumper. Had to request it be cleaned.
One hearing aid and one pair of glasses gone missing.
Had to keep requesting if mum could have a bath as doesn't like showers.
Not checking she has swallowed tablets - I have found some on floor and glasses case part chewed. Great grandchildren there one day when found on floor.
Specifically requested her glasses and hearing aid taken with her to an ophthalmic appointment at hospital but they were not.

Shocking level of care. They have no level of care for vulnerable people. They leave people in soiled sheets, unwashed and looking unkempt. Staff seem to be more interested in their mobile phones. All personal clothing and valuables disappear. Please avoid this place as it is not fit for purpose.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.489)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.489) out of 10 for Liberty House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.514 for Liberty House is calculated as follows: ( (174 Excellents x 5) + (53 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (9 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 251 Ratings = 4.514
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Liberty House is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 registered maximum number of service users is 16.2, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Lifestyle Coordinator Support Joined: 2022

Hi, I’m Kelley Norton, a proud Lifestyle Coordinator at Liberty. I began my journey here in May 2022 as a laundry assistant, but when the chance arose to join the wellbeing team, I knew it was my true calling and embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly.

I absolutely love my role, spending quality time with residents and helping them make the most of every moment. Cherishing these connections and creating joyful memories is the highlight of my work.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my daughter and my lively cocker spaniel puppy, Penny. Most people know me as the one with the crazy hair—I’ve always been affectionately called the punk of Cantley.
