Liberty House is a beautiful and modern care home offering residential, dementia and respite care. The home has 81 furnished, spacious and private en-suite bedrooms in varying colour palettes to choose from.

With fantastic facilities and the latest technology to plan high quality, person-centred care, residents' health and wellbeing are the number one priority. A team of experienced, compassionate carers offer discreet personal care and provide company and companionship, and are available around the clock. The home's Wellbeing Lead takes into account interests and pastimes to plan a varied activities programme which are stimulating and meaningful. Living at Liberty House means feeling part of a community, where support and friendship awaits.

Liberty House offers a variety of social shared spaces and dining areas to benefit residents, including a hairdressing and beauty salon, cinema, café, activities rooms, garden as well as a bar and bistro, to encourage independent living in a safe and stimulating environment. The home is designed to care for those with memory loss and the team is highly trained to encourage calm, comfortable and homely living for residents. Mealtimes are always a good time of the day, with a strong importance on good nutrition and hydration to keep residents living well as part of an all-inclusive care package.

I find both staff and management very friendly and helpful. How sad that people become so ill, but you come away knowing they are being cared for and treated with kindness and dignity. Forever thankful.

Excellent care provided in excellent surroundings. The staff are friendly and helpful and mum is treated with dignity and respect. Highly recommend this establishment for caring of your loved ones.

My father moved into Liberty House after an unhappy period in hospital and respite. Dad has vascular dementia and Alzheimer's. He has settled in very well, is calm and today said he was content. He enjoys the care and his meals, always two choices at least. His room is so clean and spacious with an
ensuite bathroom. All staff are so kind, friendly, polite and courteous with both Dad and me. We've had window, pod and now indoor visits. I've been very grateful for regular updates and can't recommend Liberty House highly enough.

We moved my relative to this care home because we were not satisfied with the care they were receiving at a previous home. We were given a limited tour of the home and were very impressed with the staff and the dedicated care and attitude of all. The home facilities were first class and the atmosphere
very positive.
We were informed about all the procedures and control measures that would be put into place in order to care for our relative, which gave us the positive reassurance and confidence that they would be cared for properly.
Even during the present difficult times, communication between the home and ourselves has been first class, and we have kept well informed of our relative's needs and well being. During these present COVID times, it’s even more important to relatives to know and have confidence that their loved ones are being cared for professionally with dignity and by people who show a proactive approach to care.

My father has been in Liberty House since October and I am so relieved how happy he is there. He loves the staff and has made new friends - something I had hoped for as he was very isolated before in his own home. There are always things going on and I know he is safe there. The staff are very good
at keeping me updated and I can tell they genuinely care for him. It was a difficult decision for me to put my Father into a care home and although I miss spending quality time with him I know it was the right decision for him.

My mum has been in this care home since September of this year and she is happy and settled and likes the care home. She has made friends, is very happy with the food and she really likes her generous size ensuite bedroom. All the staff are really lovely, friendly, welcoming and very professional. Excellent

My relative has been here since Liberty House opened. It is a fantastic place. The staff are wonderful and they go the extra mile for all the residents. The knowledge that my relative is happy and safe in his surroundings and with the people there means more to me than words can say.

Tracey Reynolds

Job Title: Home Manager

My name is Tracey, and I began my career in care as a night care assistant in 2003. In 2011, I worked in a nursing home, where I was fortunate to be supported by some incredible managers who encouraged me to develop my skills and gain relevant qualifications.


I later moved to a residential care home, taking on responsibilities around medication and stepping into a more supervisory role. As my experience grew, I progressed through senior positions including Senior Carer, Unit Manager, and Deputy Manager, before being offered my first Home Manager position in 2015.


In 2018, I transitioned into a regional role, which I held until 2022. Over the years, I’ve been involved in managing and commissioning new homes, and have continued to grow professionally with the support of excellent mentors. I’ve achieved all my NVQ qualifications and recently completed my Level 6 degree.


In my current role, I remain committed to ensuring that high-quality, person-centred care is always the priority, while also enjoying the meaningful connections we build with residents and making a positive impact on their daily lives.

I joined Liberty House as the receptionist in 2024, and I truly enjoy my role. I love greeting visitors and residents, and every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow.


Before this, I worked as a branch manager at Weldricks Pharmacy for two years. I began my career there as a pharmacy assistant and worked my way up over the five years I spent with the company.

My name is Roshan Cooray; I am the Maintenance Person at Liberty House.


I began my career in 2005 as a building caretaker in Rome, Italy, where I gained valuable experience in maintaining buildings and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents. After 15 years, I moved to the UK and took on the role of site supervisor in the school sector, further enhancing my skills in maintenance, problem-solving, and community collaboration.


Joining Runwood Homes at Liberty House has been a fantastic opportunity for me. I take great pride in my work, ensuring the home is always in excellent condition and providing a safe, comfortable space for both residents and staff. My goal is to help make Liberty House one of the best care homes in Doncaster by upholding high standards and supporting the wonderful team here.

I absolutely love my role, spending quality time with residents and helping them make the most of every moment. Cherishing these connections and creating joyful memories is the highlight of my work.


Outside of work, I enjoy time with my daughter and my lively cocker spaniel puppy, Penny. Most people know me as the one with the crazy hair—I’ve always been affectionately called the punk of Cantley.
