Day Centre is fantastic for Mum. Without it, she wouldn't be able to stay in her own home. It also enables me to work; otherwise, she would need care & stimulation throughout the day. It wouldn't be good or safe for her to sit at home alone all day with only a lunchtime carer visiting. Daycare has kept
Mum going. They mobilise her, enlisting, drinking, providing entertainment and social interaction that she wouldn't get otherwise. The bus ride to & from the centre is also stimulation for her. For Mum & me day centre enables our lives to continue with some normality.

Very pleased, especially care bus drivers & carers. Now on first name with my wife. Care home looks after my wife, understands and makes sure meals are to her liking, ensure her safety, very attentive, actively make sure she takes part in quizzes etc. Overall, very happy with relationship between my
wife, carers, crews and care home staff. 5 stars to all.

My husband has been attending Highview Day Centre for over 5 years. He was diagnosed with vascular dementia. It was the best thing his social worker has done arranging for him to attend the day centre. It's wonderful for his mental health and well being. All the staff are helpful, polite and nothing
is too much trouble when you ask them to do something. They arrange many activities as well as exercising. My husband sometimes will sit and do his puzzle book. He says the food is excellent. He looks forward to Tuesday and Friday, being picked up for the centre. The drivers are very kind and friendly. This also gives me a rest being his carer. My husband has made some friends there. He hopes the day centre will not change and stay as a separate unit.

My husband has been coming to Highview Day Centre for a long time and I have found the staff to be absolutely wonderful. They welcome my husband when we arrive and he is obviously happy to go in. When I collect my husband, he is often reluctant to leave and the staff are very helpful in trying to assist
me when we leave the day centre. A full report is always given.

My mum has attended your daycare centre for over a year. She really loved it. On the days she does she is up early and looks forward to arriving. Mum enjoys the lunches, especially the desserts.
Mum is a very fond of the staff and her face breaks into a smile when we talk about them.

My mu has been attending Highview once a week since March. She is hesitant to go due to a fear of leaving her house, but the staff are so lovely, and she always has a lovely meal and a nice day at the centre.

I feel comfortable having my husband with the Highview staff. They are very caring and he has a good rapport with them. I am unable to rate several areas as he is dropped off and collected from the door.

The staff at the centre are wonderful. Always very welcoming and caring. I don't get any feedback from my husband but he is always very relaxed and happy when I drop him off and collect him. I can only assume that the food is good as he usually has seconds. It is very reassuring for me to know that
he is in a safe and caring environment, for which I am extremely grateful.

My partner has Alzheimer's and goes to the centre every day. Although he is a quiet man he thoroughly enjoys himself there. Even though he sleeps a lot. Every member of staff that I have contact with are amazing, they are kind and gentle and know how to get the best out of my partner. When I have a
question and speak with them I am never made to feel like I'm being a nuisance - they are very reassuring and they are an amazing team.

My nan used to love coming to the centre on a Monday and Friday, the transport was great and the only thing that wasn't as good as hers was the food (but then nan was fussy!) I only live around the corner and used to see nan go by on the bus. All the staff and manager are very friendly and kind, so
thank you xxx

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.879)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.879) out of 10 for Highview Day Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Adult Day Care Centre is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.879 for Highview Day Centre is calculated as follows: ( (29 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 33 Ratings = 4.879
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    5 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months: 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.5 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.5, 5th = 0.5)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Highview Day Centre is based on 3 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 4
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Adult Day Care Centre does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
