Job summary
We are looking for a confident Activity Coordinator with a passion for making a difference.
Tupwood Gate is a Nursing Home located in the quiet residential town of Caterham in Surrey, providing outcome-focused care for adults who may be physically frail, with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Tupwood Gate provides short stay or longer-term care, offering award-winning end of life care.
You will be working 37.5 hours a week, on a rota basis (including weekends) and must be able to drive.
Please note: A Driving license is required for this role. For Insurance purposes, applicants must be 21 years of age or over and have held a full UK driving license for at least 2 years.

You’re day-to-day…
- Helping with the creation and planning of activities for residents across Tupwood Gate Nursing Home
- Arrange outings for residents to local events
- Working closely with all team members within the Tupwood Gate Nursing Home
- Support with the creation of promotional material for up-and-coming events
- Discussing potential ideas for activities with residents
- Contacting and arranging for external 3rd party companies to visit Tupwood Gate
- Assisting residents in taking part of arranged activities

About You
- Previous care experience working within either a nursing home or community role (Essential)
- Experienced in planning and arranging events (Essential)
- Experienced in working with adults with dementia, Alzheimer’s and other health conditions (Desirable)
- Computer literate (Essential)
- Strong verbal communications skills (Essential)
- Positive and Compassionate Approach (Essential)
- Able to work as an individual or as part of a team (Essential)
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
