Job summary
ABOUT THE ROLE Are you an experienced Care professional, with the
passion to make a difference? Can you lead a team of people to deliver
outstanding care to our residents, whilst encouraging them to always do
their best? As Head of Care, you’ll support the Home Manager with the
management of the Home to ensure that the highest standards of care are
delivered and maintained at all times. You’ll carry out initial
assessments of potential residents, produce individual care plans and
support both residents and their families through the process. Leading a
team of carers, you’ll be responsible for rota planning, employee
recruitment and both induction and mandatory training, ensuring that the
needs of our residents are recognised, assessed and met where possible.
You’ll also monitor and manage individual employee performance to ensure
standards are upheld, addressing any issues as they arise through the
appropriate channels. In return we’ll provide opportunities for career
development and training to support your personal growth, all delivered
in a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment. Located in the
popular area of Iffley, close to Oxford is Isis House offering friendly
and high-quality residential, early-stage dementia, intermediate and
nursing care to 80 residents. The home is conveniently located close to
shopping amenities, including a chemist, and is on a bus route to the
city centre. A short walk from the well-designed grounds takes you to
the river and the charming village of Iffley. AND IN RETURN The Trust
is a great place to work; we’ve been providing care for almost 1,000
years and we’re currently the second largest not-for-profit provider in
the UK. Not-for-profit means that we reinvest every penny we make into
our residents, colleagues and the care homes we live and work in.
Therefore, we offer a great range of benefits, including a competitive
salary, training and development. Here are some of the other benefits
you’ll enjoy as a valued member of our team: * 30 days holiday
(including Bank Holidays) * A Company pension * Life assurance * Free
uniform * Free DBS * Access to our Employee Assistance Programme * Blue
Light Card and “My Rewards” programme, offering you discounts on
shopping, days out, restaurants and much more ABOUT YOU You’ll have
previous management experience in elderly care with an NVQ Level 3
Diploma in Health & Social Care and be willing to work towards
Management Diploma Level 4 or 5 (or equivalent). You’ll have excellent
communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
effectively and will be committed to promoting and developing the
highest standards of care. You’ll be a positive role model with a
natural ability to get along with others. A supportive leader, you’ll
motivate your team to deliver the best possible care to our residents at
all times. If you think you have the right skills and attitude to
deliver the highest quality of care for our residents as a Head of Care
within our care homes, then you could be the next to join us. So, apply
