Isis Care and Retirement Centre is registered for eighty residents and offers a team of skilled and friendly carers, able to provide residential, early-stage dementia, respite and intermediate care.

Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

A very good friend of mine was sent to the Isis Care home for respite care after a period in hospital. The premises are very nice and well-maintained, and the staff were always very good and helped my friend to recover. Thank you for all you did for her under challenging circumstances.

I want to say thank you to all the staff at Isis House. My wife is very well cared for. I see for myself how happy she is there. The staff are like family to her and all of my family. The activities team and activities are amazing. I enjoy helping with gardening. My wife looks beautifully dressed,
hair done, make up on. This makes us both very happy.

Dad was cared for brilliantly at the end of his long life. The staff were lovely and the activities varied and interesting. We had never seen dad do any painting or artwork in his earlier life and I think it surprised him as well as us. His final passed was peaceful and dignified.

On arrival I found the facilities to be welcoming and secure. My daughter (who has extensive knowledge of care home through her work in social care) said it was one of the nicest homes she had visited. Every time I have visited the staff have always been attentive and knowledgeable in the caring for
my brother in laws needs. He is happy and thinks the staff are wonderful.

I love this home. I feel this home provides excellent care and entertainment for my mother. The staff are like family. They always look out for us as well as mum. The entertainment is fabulous. The collective playgroup is doing a great job interacting with the residents and finding out about their lives.
There is nothing the staff could do more as I feel they are just amazing.

I try to make a visit least least once a week and are pleased to say the care home and staff treat me very well are helpful and friendly. Both my relatives seem happy with their treatment very few complaints so I can leave them in good spirits.

My husband and I visit the care home almost every two weeks. The staff are always pleasant and ready to help if we need it. We have two family members in there and both seem to be very settled in. We don't have to worry about them so much now. Well pleased.

My father came to the Isis in December 2005 and he has had excellent care, they cater to his needs in every way possible. All the staff are excellent and very well trained. The food was excellent as we had dinner together, we had a choice and had it in a separate room. The home is very clean and in
excellent condition, my father loved his room he called it his flat.

I felt very welcome every time I visited my sister. The home was always welcoming, tidy, clean and warm. She always appeared happy and content whilst staying there. I know she always enjoyed the food. She also enjoyed the staff and found them to be kind and friendly. She also enjoyed the morning visits
with the babies and other activities.

Most things are really good. I love it, especially appreciate waking up in the morning and seeing smiling faces. When I ring the bell they come to help with real respect for elderly people. I find it very hard loosing my independence but I am incredibly well supported to stay as independent as possible.
What I find most difficult is when another resident keeps coming into my room uninvited. But the staff do try to get her to leave.

This is definitely the best care home I have ever visited. The staff are incredibly kind and supportive, always going the extra mile. Nursing care is exemplary with my mums wound healing well again the odds due to their expert care. Activities are really fabulous and help residents keep their skills
up. Daily exercise classes would improve the already excellent care even more. But overall it is super clean, super friendly and super professional and super caring. My mum is on Jasmine Ward. Thanks so much.

Kelly-Marie

Kelly-Marie Allen

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2014

Kelly-Marie has been the Home Manager at Isis House since July 2025; previously, she was Home Manager at Longlands. She has over 15 years of experience in the care industry. She joined the Trust in 2014, having previously worked as a Care Coordinator in domiciliary care. Kelly-Marie has a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and she is also a moving and handling trainer. Kelly-Marie completed her Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2022 and is working towards her Level 7.


Kelly says, “I love my job, and love how no two days are ever the same. I am very proud of my team at Isis House; the residents are at the heart of everything we do in the home.”


In Kelly-Marie’s spare time, she spends with her three children and family. She also enjoys reading.

Hannah

Hannah Hussain

Job Title: Admin Assistant Joined: 2016

Hannah joined OSJCT in 2016 as a carer at Isis House Care Home, which gave her valuable insight into the care sector and confirmed her passion for a career in care. In 2018, she transitioned to an administrative assistant role, which she has now enjoyed for six years. She finds it fulfilling, as the role is always dynamic and offers opportunities for growth and development within the care sector.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a professional makeup artist and loves helping others by doing their makeup.

Rachel Smith

Job Title: Activities Coordinator Joined: 2020

Rachel Smith, who joined the Trust in 2020, is an Activities Coordinator at Isis House. She had previously worked as an Estate Agent and wanted a change in career. Rachel loves bringing a smile to residents’ faces on a daily basis. Rachel feels her job is rewarding and challenging and goes home feeling she has made a difference to people’s lives. She said, “I love my job and I’m looking forward to spending many more years making a difference.”

Sirlene

Sirlene Heenan

Job Title: Admin Assistant Joined: 2005

Sirlene began her career in the care sector as a carer at Glebe House in 2005 before transferring to Isis House in 2006. Over the years, she has developed a deep passion for providing the best possible care for the elderly, which aligns with OSJCT’s ethos. She has learned a great deal from the wisdom of the elderly and feels fortunate to have met many wonderful residents, as well as to have worked alongside dedicated and passionate colleagues.


In 2015, Sirlene became an administration assistant at Isis House, a role she enjoys for the regular contact it provides with residents and their families. Originally from Brazil with a professional background in banking, she moved to the UK in 2003 with her English husband.


Outside of work, Sirlene enjoys traveling, reading, walking in nature, and tending to her plants.

Karishma (Kase) Chauhan

Job Title: Activity Coordinator Joined: 2025

Kase joined the Trust in April 2025 as an Activity Coordinator at Isis House. She graduated from the University of Bolton in 2020 with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Kase brings her creativity and passion for art to her role, using her skills to develop engaging arts and crafts activities for residents.


She has launched a weekly Community Arts and Crafts Club, held every Monday afternoon from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm, creating a vibrant space for expression and connection. Kase also holds a qualification in Digital Marketing and has previously worked with The Paint Club, where she discovered her love for teaching others to paint.


Her inspiration to work with older adults comes from personal experience—she shared a love of painting with her grandmother, who lived with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s. This deepened her understanding of the therapeutic power of art.


Outside of work, Kase runs her own art business, creating and selling original paintings and prints. Art is at the heart of everything she does, and she’s excited to share her passion with the residents at Isis House.
