Wing View Care Centre

from H B (Wife of Resident) published on 15 June 2026
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My husband was diagnosed with dementia in 2022. I recognised the need for a care home offering respite care. I was immediately drawn to Wing View as it was a not-for-profit care home, and I felt the ethos would be about care in the true sense of the word. Everywhere was beautifully decorated in colours,
creating a calm and peaceful living space. My husband moved into the home permanently in March 2026, and warmth, understanding, and dedication from the care team are palpable. Every resident is treated with love and respect, and individual needs are paramount. The catering are wonderful, housekeeping are superb, and the atmosphere is joyful. There are coffee mornings and numerous activities for all.
Reply from Steph Palmer, On behalf of the team at Wing View Care CentreThank you so much for your 5 star review, H B. We're so glad how happy you are with Wing View for your husbands care.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
I always felt that Mum was well looked after and treated with respect. Naturally Mum would rather have been at home but Beckside provided an environment that allowed her large family to visit in the knowledge that she was being cared for when we weren;t around. This allowed Dad to cope in extremely
difficult times. The carers and nursing staff were very approachable and friendly, and made Mums final days the best they could be in the circumstances. Thank you to all.

Stirlings

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My mother spent 2 years at Stirlings. She was quite a challenging resident. Despite this the staff treated her with respect, humour and love. We could not have asked for more. When we were forced to move her due to specialist nursing care needs we were all very upset. Thank you to all the staff who
became good friends, we will miss you.
Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at StirlingsThank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt review. We're truly grateful that your mother spent her time with us at Stirlings, and it means a great deal to hear how warmly supported she was, even through challenging times.

Treating every resident with respect, humour and genuine care is incredibly important to our team, so your words will be very touching for them to hear. We completely understand how difficult it was to say goodbye when her needs changed, and we're honoured that our staff became such a meaningful part of your family's journey. Thank you for trusting us with your mother's care - she will be remembered fondly, and you will all be missed.

Henry Cornish Care Centre

from B P (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 June 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was a resident at Henry Cornish Care Home from May 2025 until she passed on 3rd April 2026. She was exceptionally well looked after during her stay, including during her last few weeks when it was obvious she wasn't going to be with us much longer. All the carers were very caring people.
Nothing was too much trouble for them. The entertainment was also excellent, and even though my mother often said she was too tired to join in, she enjoyed all activities immensely! Last summer, it was almost like she had a new lease of life, enjoying being outside with the other residents and eating in the dining room with her new friends .
Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Henry Cornish Care CentreThank you for sharing such a touching and heartfelt review. We are truly honoured that your mother spent her time with us at Henry Cornish Care Home, and we're very grateful for your kind words about the care she received throughout her stay, especially during her final weeks. It means a great deal to know that she was comfortable, well supported and able to enjoy the companionship, activities and time outdoors with others. Your memories of her finding joy and friendship with us will be shared with the whole team, who take great pride in caring with kindness, patience and respect. Please accept our sincere condolences, and thank you for trusting us with your mother's care.

Sir Aubrey Ward House

from Gerry M (Son of Resident) published on 11 June 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother is extremely well looked after both physically and mentally by some wonderful staff who really care. The entire staff (carers, entertainment, kitchen staff, cleaners, management and handymen) are all really friendly to both residents and visitors.Residents are treated like a member of family by
many of the carers and they really do go the extra mile with them. I had visited 3 other homes before attending Sir Aubrey Ward but this was the one where all of the staff were making the effort to be cheerful and helpful to everybody. It was the deciding factor for me in choosing where my mother would be best cared for.The residents rooms were the largest I'd seen at any of the homes and I was impressed with the meals, cakes and desserts provided which are prepared fresh each day by the kitchen staff from scratch.Much better than the microwave meals full of salt and preservatives that my mother had been eating previously. The home strives for continuous improvement always.

Fremantle Court

from Marcus P (Son of Resident) published on 11 June 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Ten months ago, at the age of 99, Mum decided she was no longer able to live independently and chose to move into care. After my wife and I visited six or seven local care homes, we selected Fremantle Court as the best option.

The staff and carers have been brilliant, helping Mum make the difficult

adjustment to living in care. They have been patient and supportive, both to Mum and to the entire family.

Every time I visit Mum, she tells me how lucky she is to have so many people looking out for her, and how wonderful the care she receives is.

The wing she is in feels so relaxed. It is kept very clean, has different spaces for residents to use, and feels very homely.

I would like to thank everyone involved in Mum's care, from the carers and admin team right through to the maintenance staff. I would recommend Fremantle Court to anyone looking for a safe, positive environment for their elderly loved one.

Reply from Steph Palmer, On behalf of the team at Fremantle CourtThank you so much for your detailed review, M P. We are so glad your mum is so happy at Fremantle Court and that you would recommend.

The first thing you notice as you enter Stirlings are the smiling faces of all the staff. My brother has been there for just 3 months and is happy and relaxed thanks to their fantastic unending care from all departments. I am grateful to be updated as to how he is which happens each time I visit or

Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at StirlingsThank you so much for your lovely feedback and 5-star review. My mother was a resident at Fremantle Court for over 4 years and died here at the end of May. I was always happy with her care. The home offers a good range of activities, and the activities team are very proactive. The home has a cosy, homely feel, and the values are good. The home's proximity to the
hospital is a real strength, as there are excellent liaison arrangements between the two. The team worked hard to keep my mum at the home as she neared the end. In her last days, she was treated with outstanding compassion and gentleness, as was I.
Reply from Steph Palmer, On behalf of the team at Fremantle CourtThank you for your review. We're so glad how happy you were with your mothers care at Fremantle Court and how cosy you felt the home was. Take care.

Mulberry Court is such a special haven. My mum came for 2 weeks respite but was so happy here, she decided to stay and become a resident. And that's a minor miracle considering she did not want to go any where!

The staff are all so caring and lovely. They absolutely bond with anyone staying here

and are passionate about making them as comfortable as possible. Emma the Home Manager, is dedicated to her role 24/7. She leads this home not only with a huge amount of heart but also years of care knowledge - you couldn't ask for a better combination!

There's an extremely peaceful feel to Mulberry Court and it really is a home from home environment. Gorgeous garden as well.

The food is amazing quality and a varied menu. Plus they will do whatever they can to accommodate any special dietary needs or wishes. Paula even went out to the shops to buy my mum some kippers as that's what she was craving that day!

Jubilee Lodge

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Elderly father entered into care at Jubilee Lodge. Welcoming from staff, nothing too much trouble, my father likes very hot drinks and make sure they are hot. We as family feel very at ease at this difficult time that all his needs are catered for at the highest level. He enjoys the banter with the
staff and has attended some of the home activities. The staff are very encouraging to get him to participate at 91 years young. He appears to be very happy and my mum as his main carer is also confident he is well looked after, married over 65 years.
Reply from Harry Marsh, On behalf of the team at Jubilee LodgeThank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased to hear that your father has settled in well at Jubilee Lodge and that both he and your family feel comfortable and reassured by the care and support he receives. It's wonderful to know that he is enjoying the company of our team, taking part in activities, and feeling at home with us. Thank you for your kind words and for trusting us with your father's care.

Chilterns Court Care Centre

from Amelia M (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father moved to Chilterns Court following a fall (femur head fracture) and hospital stay in February, initially for respite care. The whole team have been brilliant with him, from making sure he has help and support in all daily tasks (due to limited mobility), encouraging him (and wheeling him
out) to take part in activities and have his meals in the dining area. Whilst I try to visit several times a week, their communication is also excellent, they ring whenever they need to discuss his health or care. Having him so well looked after by a kind, caring and empathetic team is a huge weight off my mind - knowing he's safe and in safe hands.
Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Chilterns Court Care CentreThank you so much for sharing your experience. We're really glad to hear how well your father has been supported since coming to Chilterns Court, especially after such a difficult time. It's lovely to know he's been encouraged to join in with activities and meals, helping him feel safe and settled. We're also pleased that our communication has given you reassurance when you can't be here. Knowing families feel a weight lifted because their loved one is in kind, caring hands means a great deal to the team. Thank you again for your trust and kind words.
