Reply from Steve Gardner-Collins, On behalf of the team at St Wilfrid's Priory Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful review of St Wilfrid's Priory. We are delighted to hear that your loved one enjoyed the Valentine's Tea Party and felt part of our big family. Creating a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel valued and connected is at the heart of everything we do, so your kind words truly mean a great deal to our team. It's especially lovely to know that you appreciate the effort our staff put into celebrating special occasions such as birthdays. Making each resident feel recognised and celebrated - with a cake and a gift from the team - is something we take great pride in. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience across all areas of the home, from care and support to activities and facilities. Your feedback is incredibly important to us and to families considering St Wilfrid's Priory.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The dementia wing at Coombe End Court (Pearl) where my wife is a resident has a very friendly, welcoming ambience, as does the whole care home. The care team on Pearl are all very kind and gentle, nothing being too much trouble for those they are looking after. The management at CEC are a highly skilled
and motivated team who put the residents first, and are scrupulous in keeping the relatives well informed of everything concerning their loved one. The kitchen (and the food which emanates from it) is quite exceptional for a care home. In summary I remain beyond delighted with the way that CEC look after my wife.
Reply from Steve Gardner-Collins, On behalf of the team at Coombe End CourtThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We are thrilled to hear that you feel welcomed and supported at Coombe End Court, and that Pearl and our team have been able to provide such a positive experience for your wife. Our staff take great pride in delivering compassionate care, and it's wonderful to know that their efforts, along with our management team and kitchen, have made a meaningful difference for you and your family. Your feedback is truly appreciated, and we remain committed to ensuring your wife continues to receive the highest standard of care.

Although only recent resident, we are very impressed with the standard of the home and genuine care and attention given, more like a smart hotel than I imagined a care home. We've seen an improvement in her wellbeing since residency. Highly recommend to date.

Mum has been at 'The Lakes' for almost 18 months now and has been treated with nothing but kindness and respect, as have I. The Care Team keep me well informed of any health issues my Mum may be experiencing. The home is comfortable, clean and well furnished and every care is taken to provide activities
that appeal to all residents. Great care is taken to keep everyone healthy, happy and well. In the run up to Christmas a cheese and wine evening was laid on for residents and their relatives, at which the kitchen team excelled themselves by providing cheese and wine pairings with lots of beautifully presented nibbles for us all to enjoy. Musical entertainment was provided by the talented and versatile staff team. There was also a very well organised coach trip out for all residents and relatives to a local garden centre for lunch and then a tour round the lovely nearby villages, culminating in a drive through Cirencester to enjoy the Christmas lights which we all enjoyed.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Due to mobility issues, sadly Mum has had to go into residential care which obviously is a huge trauma in itself losing independence. After several episodes of excellent respite care at Apple Trees, Mum was happy to be there permanently when there was no possibility of returning home.
Rooms are generous
and have a large en-suite. Mum has small bits of her own furniture, lamps, pictures etc to make it feel like home. The whole team are brilliant! Care staff are patient and kind and are always willing to listen if there are any concerns. Everyone is friendly and approachable, food is excellent and there is a calendar of activities monthly for residents to participate in if they wish but no pressure. There's a beautiful garden too, a bar and 'cafe' area all of which are well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend this lovely residential home

I'm so pleased with the friendliness and genuine care that staff show to Mum. It is really appreciated.
In addition, whenever there has been a need to liaise with external support services such as GP, district nurses or paramedics, this has been done rapidly, in Mum's best interests, while keeping
me informed of events.

Mum has lived at Stirlings for the last six months. As Stirlings is a long way from home, meaning we couldn't visit every day, we were initially worried. However, mum has settled so well, and we feel confident she is well cared for and encouraged to get involved in all activities. She has made friends
and is happy and content. Thank you all so much.

I regularly volunteer at Edwardstow court, sometime as a general volunteer and sometimes with my Therapy Dog. Anytime we are there, we are made to feel very welcome by the staff and it's an absolute delight to work alongside them to give the residents a nice experience.
Once of the main things I
love about Edwardstow Court is how so much of what happens is resident led eg I now teach BSL as the residents enjoyed a trial session and we now do it every fortnight. They want to be able to communicate with dignity.
I always leave feeling uplifted.
Reply from Katerina Pippi, Team Member at Edwardstow CourtThank you so much for your incredibly kind words and for the time, care and enthusiasm you bring to Edwardstow Court.
We are truly grateful for the wonderful contribution you make, both as a general volunteer and alongside your Therapy Dog. The joy and comfort you help bring to our residents means more than we can say, and it's always a pleasure to welcome you through our doors.
It's especially lovely to hear your thoughts about our resident-led approach. Supporting our residents to shape their own experiences, like choosing to continue with BSL sessions so they can communicate with dignity, is something we're very proud of. The fortnightly classes you now teach are such a brilliant example of how meaningful activities can grow from listening to what our residents want.
See you again soon.

My mother is well cared for. I have every confidence in all staff. My mum found it very difficult at first to settle, and it has taken time. She is now happy despite late-stage Alzheimer's. The entertainment for residents is excellent. At home, my mum would sit all day in front of the TV and was not
interested in any activities. Here she partakes in all activities on offer - baking club, flower arranging, painting etc. She loves singing and is at her happiest when the singer comes, or they have group singing. In conclusion my mum could not be a better place.
Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at MeadowcroftThank you very much for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that your mother is now happy and well cared for, and that you have confidence in the whole team. We understand how difficult it can be to settle into a new home, especially alongside late-stage Alzheimer's, so it's really encouraging to know that with time and support she has found comfort and enjoyment. It's wonderful to hear how much she enjoys the activities on offer - particularly the singing, which clearly brings her so much happiness. Your feedback about the facilities and overall experience is greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team. Thank you for trusting us with your mum's care and for sharing such thoughtful comments.
