Review of Coombe End Court from K S (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
Our experience of Coombe End Court feels like home. it's well run with friendly staff catering for the care of our loved ones. Be it admin, meals, activities or laundry. And not forgetting how spotlessly clean it is.
It's really nice having Kaspers cafe as an area to relax with mum. All enclosed in a lovely garden area,

Thank you.

Review of Meadowcroft from John H (Resident / Service User) published on 25 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I've enjoyed it here, I'm going to stay to the End. Basically do what I want to do and in the week there is something to do and even Carolyn sometimes puts something on, on a Sunday. I love being taken into Thame town but it only happens 3 or 4 times a year, I would like to do it more often. I find the food is very, very good. I can buy anything else extra that I want. I get on well with everyone

Review of Millbrook Lodge from Cathy H (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Overall, in my opinion, the care is good, and most staff are friendly, approachable and supportive.

I have found that the quality of care is significantly improved when staff consistency is maintained. Staff who regularly care for Mum get to know her better, understand her individual needs and quirks, and are therefore able to provide more consistent and effective care.

Mum is also noticeably calmer when she is cared for by staff who understand her personality and know how to respond to her. This helps to prevent her frustration from escalating and makes a real difference to her overall wellbeing.

My Father arrived at Jubilee Lodge in April 2026, and all of my worries were quickly reassured by the wonderful Nurses and the exceptional Care Team. I was worried my father wouldn't settle but with all the help and constant support from all the Team he settled in very well. Overall Experience

Mum is very settled at Athelstan House. The care she receives is excellent and she has made good friends. The activities are extensive and the carers take time to get to know what Mum enjoys doing. When I visit I am always met with smiles and positivity from the staff. As I live quite a distance away I feel reassured that Mum is safe, cared for and enjoying her days. Communication from Mum's carers is good and there is always someone available to talk to if I have any worries or questions.

Overall Experience

I would drop in unanounced on several occassions before Mum moved in always found welcoming, helpful, friendly staff. The atmosphere was always relaxed and homey. They assisted in an 'above and beyond manner' To help me place Mum with them and have been open and honest and communication excellent every step of the way I brought Mum home from Spain due to dementia and have felt supported every step off the way. Mum has settled well - it's a big extended family

Review of Farnham Common House from Kelly D (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
Farnham Common House or Orders of St John Care Trust! Has improved massively since the new management team have been in place.
I feel like our concerns are being listened to. Their only priority is the resident and it hasn't always been this way in the past.

The carers that look after my mum are amazing. The cleaners also do a fantastic job.

Review of Meadowcroft from Beryl S (Resident / Service User) published on 18 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My room is quite comfortable and the staff, you never know quite who you are getting. Quite a lot are Indian. Some are nicer than others. The food is usually quite good. I'd quite like to go home sometimes to see what's happening at home as my daughter is living there now. I like having visitors, but they are often busy working. I like having my own pictures on the wall. Caroline the carer is fun.

Review of Meadowcroft from J K (Resident / Service User) published on 18 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I arrived at begining of April and was very pleasantly surprised and when I met the staff I was even more impressed by the staff. The staff are really amazing. I came from another home so I have a comparison. The managers do a good job. The only problem is if I go to my daughters for dinner (she lives round the corner) I can't get back in. It takes too long to get in. Thats my only problem.

We had arranged to have a birthday lunch for my sister who is a resident at Wellford Gardens.

The food was of an exceptionally high standard. The staff were all so kind and attentive and made it a very special occasion with decorations, gifts and a cake. Thank you to all concerned.

Review of Goodson Lodge Care Centre from Mandy E (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum moved into Goodson Lodge from a different care home and the change in her has been amazing. She is so happy and all the staff make sure she is well looked after and cared for, she now joins in with activities and even goes to the dining room. The staff also makes sure that I am ok. And there is always someone you can talk to or just make a cuppa. It is reassuring that when we leave her she is in a safe, happy & cared environment which helps us as a family. So grateful for everyone at Goodson Lodge your all fabulous.
