Review of Stirlings from Warren B (Son of Resident) published on 8 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Dad has been in Stirlings Care home in Wantage for the last two years and recently I was asked to nominate an employee as part of the Awards.
I declined the opportunity to nominate. How could I possibly nominate one person in a team of such wonderful, caring and loving people, it would be impossible and unfair.
Stirlings Care home, the staff and residents, are a warm and loving family that I'm
so glad my dad is a part of as he draws closer to the end of his life.

Honestly, look no further!

Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Stirlings

Thank you so much for such a heartfelt review. We're incredibly touched by your words and delighted that you feel Stirlings is a warm and loving family for your dad to be part of. It means so much to know that, over the past two years, the kindness and care of the whole team have made such a...

Review of Farnham Common House from Karen C (Daughter of Resident) published on 8 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Dad has been at Farnham Common House for nearly 2 years and we couldn't be happier. All of the staff here work really hard to make the residents feel like it's their home. They have wonderful personalities and really relate to the residents. Dad is very happy here, which has been such a relief for mum. The home is always clean and very well maintained, the food is 5 star restaurant quality with a homely feel, and there's plenty of it. Today we enjoyed a BBQ with a wonderful singer and you could see how much the residents, families and staff all enjoyed it. We couldn't have picked a better place for dad other than his own home. A big thank you to the whole team at Farnham Common House xx

Review of Marden Court from Avril C (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 September 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
When facing a family crisis and after being main carer for so long for my mum, I called Marden Court and the care manager came out straight away to asses our needs. From that moment on I have felt that both mum and myself were going to be looked after.

Mum is currently having respite, but is keen to stay permanently to relieve pressure and give her peace of mind that someone is around 24hrs a day.

Reply from Harry Marsh, On behalf of the team at Marden Court

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Marden Court. Review of Hartsholme House from M W (Son of Resident) published on 4 September 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

My mother had 3 weeks respite care at Hartsholme. The care she received was excellent with very friendly and caring staff being a standout.
The cleanliness of the home was very good, with a range of lounges; a very well maintained garden and a light and airy dining area.

Review of Beckside from Julian W (Son of Resident) published on 4 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mum went from hospital to Beckside for end of life care. She was there less than 2 weeks but the standard and quality of the care as well as the administration involved was simply magnificent! From our first contact all staff from the manager down were empathetic, friendly, flexible, professional and took their time to explain things to my sister and I and offered us support as well as Mum. We cannot praise the home or the staff highly enough.

Review of Monkscroft Care Centre from Bev H (Niece of Resident) published on 3 September 2026 Submitted via Website

I regularly visited my uncle who was a resident here for over 3 years in both Redgrove and Springbank units. He was very happy here, the staff were very kind, friendly and helpful and I am confident that he was very well looked after. They would always call to update me on anything I needed to know and answer any questions during my visits. It's a very special place with some amazing people doing a very difficult job.

Review of Chilterns Court Care Centre from L A (Wife of Resident) published on 3 September 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

Chilterns Court is warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The staff are kind and friendly and the nursing staff are competent. An in-house physiotherapy service would have been good, especially as it is so expensive there.

Goodson Lodge is a lovely welcoming and caring place. My mother is very happy here and enjoys all the great activities, sitting in the pretty garden and making friends. The staff are very caring and thoughtful. We know our mother will be well looked after.

Review of Ridgeway House from R T (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My father spent time at Ridgeway after he had come out of Hospital, once in 2025 and again just recently in 2026. The care he received was fantastic. He really liked all the staff and Tyler and Alison are very easy to communicate with and very caring. He was sad to leave but has now moved into his own flat.

Review of Westgate House from M W (Husband of Resident) published on 3 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My partner feels right at home at Westgate House. Everyone is friendly, helpful and caring, and I particularly appreciate the effort the staff make to take his individual needs and interests into account.

There have been lots of thoughtful personal touches, from finding the right chair so that he can comfortably go outside to taking an interest in the things that matter to him. It really feels as though he is known and cared for as an individual.

Another huge advantage for us is that Westgate is close to home, which means I am able to visit every day. Being able to see each other so regularly is invaluable, and I am always made to feel very welcome.

Most importantly, he is happy there. I feel reassured that he is comfortable and well cared for, and I'm very grateful to everyone at Westgate for everything they do.
