Apple Trees Care and Reablement Centre

Having spent just over five weeks in hospital, my wife was transferred to Apple Trees and on that day she phoned me and said, 'I think I have gone to heaven', in what sadly turned out to be her last few weeks of life. The staff all made her so comfortable and happy; she really was in good hands. She was treated with love, kindness and dignity in the time there. Ann loved people, and she enjoyed getting to know them and their families. She always asked names so she could tell me about them. The same kindness was shown to me; thank you. I was offered the chance to stay the night beside her bed, and because of that, I was with her holding hands when she passed away peacefully in her sleep. I will never stop telling anyone who will listen how wonderful Apple Trees is. Every single member of management and staff has my deepest thanks for showing such loving, caring and dignity. Thank you all.

Mum has just spent 3 weeks in an active recovery bed at Apple Trees. All staff were caring and willing to discuss any matter with me. I was made to feel welcome while visiting. The facilities were excellent and I felt confident mum was being well cared for while there.

The care in Apple Trees over a period of 3 years was very good and she felt secure and well looked after. The quality of the staff was very high and made very good relationships with her.

My mother Shirley, spent one week in Apple Trees from 16/02/26 to 22/02/26. She was warmly welcomed for respite following two hospital visits. She was very frail and passed away with dignity. All the staff and carers were exemplary. The kindness, support and genuine warmth were very impressive. Mum's room and the general decor of the home were excellent. The care home is light and airy. Nothing was too much trouble. Myself and the wider family were welcomed throughout each day and treated with great kindness when mum passed away. Excellent. Thank you.

The facility is very clean and the staff very friendly. My father was a resident for 17 days after 10 days in hospital. After his stay he was able to go home.

Rooms are generous and have a large en-suite. Mum has small bits of her own furniture, lamps, pictures etc to make it feel like home. The whole team are brilliant! Care staff are patient and kind and are always willing to listen if there are any concerns. Everyone is friendly and approachable, food is excellent and there is a calendar of activities monthly for residents to participate in if they wish but no pressure. There's a beautiful garden too, a bar and 'cafe' area all of which are well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend this lovely residential home

From being admitted to departure in the reanablement centre , the care and compassion shown to my father was exceptional all staff were amazing, My father is now home due to the professional manner in which the staff helped considerably in getting him back to a good health both physically and mentally . Words are not enough to give the team the plaudits they deserve

The staff are excellent and very caring. The food is excellent and caters for individual needs. The rooms are kept very clean and tidy, as are all community areas. The management is always very sociable and always willing to discuss my mum's needs and welfare. I feel she is very safe at Appletrees, and I can visit my mum whenever I can without any of the staff making me feel I am intruding.

My mother has been a permanent residents for 3 months. All the staff are absolutely fantastic, my mother is incredibly well looked after, she has a fantastic en-suite room. The care home is purpose built, incredibly clean with some lovely outdoor spaces. The food is incredibly good, so a big thank you to all the kitchen staff. All the staff are wonderful, but a special thank you to one of my others carers, and the manager who have all been fantastic.

Paramedics said Mum could not be left alone and needed 24/7 care. Later that day she was getting settled in her room at Apple Trees. The kindness and care she has received is excellent. At night she is checked on every 2hrs. She loves the food (always a choice). Apple Trees has a real community feel rather than an institution. Everything looks and smells clean and fresh. There are lounge areas, garden, reading corner, table games, activities, tea & coffee making facilities in the kitchen area. A shetland pony visited one day - staff took photos and mum has hers next to her family photos. She took her recliner and other items so he room feels like home. I haven't seen Mum so relaxed for a long time. She feels safe and knows she just has to press her button and someone will come and check on her. As a family we have peace of mind knowing mum has the 24/7 care she needs. We couldn't ask for more!

I had been in hospital for 8 weeks. Apple Trees Care and Reablement Centre really helped me progress ready to go home. I felt safe and cared for. The staff were really kind and patient. Some of the other patients were so helpful too and in turn, when I was more able I felt able to help and encourage others. Carry on with your supportive work.

The home claimed daily activities and trips out in the home's minibus - there haven't been organised activities for months and my mother has never been out in the minibus.

I have just completed a four-week active recovery bed course at Apple Trees Care and Reablement Centre. When I first arrived, I could barely stand but now thanks to the incredible help and support from the carers at Apple Trees I am leaving with the confidence to walk independently and even prepare my own drinks and snacks. My experience has been exceptional. They treated everyone with dignity, always remaining friendly and offering excellent care and support. The food and drink were also of a high standard. I would highly recommend this course to anyone in need of recovery assistance.

My mother came to Apple Trees Reablement Home and was very ill, she was able to rest and recover and the care she received from all the staff was amazing. Her medication was given at regular times and food in the dining room meant interaction with other people. After the 20+ days she was well enough to be discharged and enjoyed her 90th birthday at home with family, she is continuing to eat well and is looking forward to her holiday in August. The family thank Apple Trees for their dedication and care to all your residents.

My mother was a resident for four weeks, she was so poorly when she arrived but the care and respite she received at Apple Trees completely transformed her. We loved the homely atmosphere, access to the kitchen for pots of tea and cake. Flexibility over visiting times was wonderful allowing us to drop in any time of the day. We can't thank Apple Trees enough for enabling Mum to return to her own home.

From being extremely nervous about going into a home she has now recovered a lot of her confidence as well as her health improving. Even though the final outlook for my mum is not great I cannot emphasize how good my mum's care and treatment has been in Apple Trees.

My mother was so well looked after. Staff could not do enough for her absolutely fantastic. Would recommend to anybody.

My mum has dementia and has been a resident at Apple Trees since May 2023. My daughter and I viewed a couple of care homes in the area and Apple Trees was the one that stood out. I'm pleased to say Mum has settled down really well and loves taking part in the various activities and going out on supervised outings. The areas within the care home are always clean, the rooms are very comfortable and all the staff, whether it be carers, domestic or office staff are second to none. Everyone is always so cheerful and nothing is too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend Apple Trees and I know I made the right choice for Mum.

The lounge, dining room and kitchen areas were all good and initially, she enjoyed being in the lounge with the other residents and staff. She felt comfortable at Apple Trees and in fact, referred to it as 'home'.

The food is freshly prepared and good quality, care is taken with the menus and resident's preferences and needs are individually catered for. There’s always something to eat and drink available.
