Apple Trees Care and Reablement Centre

My mother has settled so well, she is happy and contented. The staff are caring, helpful, pleasant and friendly. Happy staff: happy residents: happy home.

A very friendly and comfortable environment. Staff are very approachable and responsive. They accommodate the vagaries of dementia sufferers and care for them in a kindly fashion. I could not be happier with my mother's care.

On Dec 22nd Dad was transferred into Apple Trees. The day was a nightmare as the transfer was completely screwed up by the ambulance service....eventually he got to Apple Trees one and a half hours after their normal reception time had finished. Two of the day staff volunteered to stay on duty to receive him. He arrived exhausted, upset and confused. The staff, who were absolutely brilliant settled him and me quite quickly. He got his cup of tea, a bite to eat and a big hug. For the following few days, he did little but eat and sleep which he clearly needed.....the staff let him do this and gently integrated him into the daily life of the home. By Xmas day he was up and enjoying his new home ....he loved the Xmas lunch and his visit from our 2 labs (which again was encouraged by the staff). We are now just over a month into his new adventure, he has had a birthday (and got cake and pressies from the staff), he is happy, his health has hugely improved and he seems reasonably content.

We love our mother dearly and it is so wonderful not to have to worry about her knowing that she is being well cared for.

Sometimes could do with some more staff on for a little more help.

Pleasant surroundings and carers that care. There is a nice atmosphere which my Aunt appreciates.

Appletrees exceeded all expectations for the facility itself, the staff and the care provided. Nothing was too much trouble and the genuine care and compassion was something very special. I could not rate it highly enough.

All my mother's cares are met. Staff very caring. Any problems, which have been small and not care related, have been quickly dealt with. I highly recommend this care home.

The staff are friendly and welcoming There also seems to be good rapport between the members of staff. The staff are friendly disposed to the residents, giving direct help or simple encouragement according to need.

We are mostly very impressed with Apple Trees. Most of the staff are hardworking and very caring. It is the best care home that I have ever visited. I feel the fees are very expensive. The costs increased over 10% this year, which feels exorbitant in the current economic climate.

There are many activities arranged and the outside space is very pleasant. The gardens are well kept. The IT department have been excellent in resolving issues with TV connection, to enable to father to watch rugby.

When I have visited I have found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. They talk to residents with care and compassion nothing is too much trouble. The home is always clean and tidy, the food is well cooked and nicely presented with a good choice. I cannot speak too highly of Apple Trees.

My only criticism is the fact that her room is looking a little tired and the overhead light shade could be an uplighter.

Staff took wonderful care of my father, especially when he needed it most.

A first class service all round.

There are too many people to name who need recognition for what they do every day but I wish to say thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

As my uncle moved into the final months of his life. Every care and love were given. The senior carers liaised with the GP and medical team eventually with the hospital teams. Always with my uncles best at the forefront. My uncles last week was spent at the care home among loving friends. It was obvious to me that he was so much more relaxed. The final days was spent in a loving atmosphere with voices around. Very important that uncle didn't feel alone. My sincerest thanks to everyone at Apple Trees who project genuine warm family feeling.

My experience watching the care of my mother at Appletrees has led me to full confidence in the care at the home. The staff have taken over all the day to day care smoothly and efficiently. The service provided cover all my mother's needs from the personal care issues to the social aspects of life. The family have full access to visit and reluctance from the staff. My mother feels safe, happy and cared for at Appletrees. I have no worried about her wellbeing.

I would definitely recommend Apple Trees to anyone that needs recuperation or care after leaving hospital or respite. I would like to thank all the staff for their support and care that mum received. It's a big relief to know that she is well cared for and takes the pressure off us.

What a marvellous meal we had. My family joined me for Sunday lunch.
