This modern home has been designed with your comfort and wellbeing in mind. Relax in one of the cosy lounges, take advantage of the secure terraces on sunny days, or join in one of the social activities taking place daily. If you'd like a little more privacy, then your own spacious bed-sitting room, with en-suite shower facilities, offers a peaceful haven. The home also offers physiotherapy at an additional cost.
There is full programme of different activities and events organised by the Activity Co-ordinators around each person's requests, hobbies and interests.

My wife, who has complex care needs, recently enjoyed a 7 night respite care stay at Windsor St. Cheltenham. She was very well looked after and has expressed a wish to return sometime in the future. Because she is largely non-verbal and therefore unable to instruct or correct staff my challenge was to convey to the team all her care needs. I developed a written care plan which was accurately followed by the staff the only exception being help with feeding, but we will put that right next time!

My mum has moved to Windsor Street from another care home. Words cannot express from day 1 how happy Mum and our whole family were with every aspect of her care at Windsor. Every, without exception, member of staff made mum feel welcome, loved and appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble. The happy atmosphere was so so appreciated. Mum felt like a family member. She often told me how "wonderful" all staff were, from receptionist, carers, handyman and medical staff. Sadly, Mum passed away in April but from our whole family - a massive THANK YOU!

Jill has recently moved in to the home. At 95 it has had a few challenges but the welcome she recieved was lovely. She has settled in well enjoying the daily activities. Everyone we have met is very supportive & upbeat and she has said several times how happy she is.

At home with me, she had almost stopped eating, whereas here she at everything with relish. I'm sure all of the care helped her last a bit longer. She was always adamant that she didn't want to go into a care home. It has given her a feeling of belonging. She goes to the entertainment and is always saying how great it is. She enjoys eating her meals with her fellow residents. She is extremely well cared for and is happy. She's had a couple of falls and is attended to straight away, whereas at home she would be on the floor for hours. Highly recommend it.

I have power of attorney over a lady who at 93 had been living alone near Cheltenham . a wonderful neighbour had been more than keeping an eye on her and professional carers were coming in daily. But it was increasingly clear she couldn't manage so i started to look around for homes. the neighbour...
she loved it immediately and wanted to stay there and then!! they made arrangements to pick her up shortly afterwards and she couldn't have been happier. i made a surprise unannounced visit last month and she was really content there and enjoying life.

Bea has been an Activity Coordinator at OSJCT since November 2019 and at Windsor Street since September 2022. She is passionate about her role, brings a person-centred approach to her work, and ensures that residents actively participate in community activities. She is also the Dementia and End of Life Champion at Windsor Street Care Centre, focusing on fostering independence among residents.
Her qualifications include being a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist, holding a Diploma in Care RQF - Adult Care - Activity Coordinator path, and achieving Principles of End-of-Life Care Level 2 and Level 3. Bea has also completed courses in Grief and Bereavement Counselling Diploma and Dementia Care Level 2. Beyond her professional commitments, Bea leads a Bereavement Cafe and an End-of-Life Cafe, connecting Windsor Street with the Cornerstone Centre Community Hub.
In her free time, Bea finds joy in regular seaside visits with her husband and dog Olav, indulging in her passion for body boarding, especially during the winter months.
