My wife and I visited my mom on Mothers Day, what a wonderful experience! We spent the morning with a lovely walk in the garden, then followed by a fabulous lunch with my mom in the Charlbury Household restaurant. Everything was spot on, the food, the staff all first class. Well done to everyone for

1000 characters isnt enough to say how much all the staff actually do care and do everything they possibly can to make sure residents are happy comfortable and enjoy their time at Monkscroft .
Mum was there for seven months came in as bed bound ended up as end of life care .
i never wanted mum in a
care home but it was the best thing i could ever have done for her .
All of the staff are amaizing, everyone takes time to notice you to make you welcome . The food is cooked in the kitchens not a microwave or bag of frozen peas in sight
Housekeeping ...always with a smile always a friendly chat always made time for everyone always sensitive to mums needs always showing they cared .
carers ... their prority is comfort compassion respect all carried with dignity and respect that shows no limits
Nurses ... what can i say always making sure mum was comfortable pain free and recieving the best possible treatment
Putting mum in Monkscroft was the best possibe thing i could ever have done
Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Monkscroft Care CentreThank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt and touching review. I am impressed with the professional care standard of the home and the excellent nursing care plus access to GP when needed. Staff are friendly and supportive. Meals look appetising and are generally appreciated by my sister. The environment of the home is well maintained and welcoming. My sister is

Mum was taken to Millbrook Lodge (ML) after a short return to home following a hospital spell with very serious pneumonia approx 14 mths ago. It was no longer safe for her to be at home alone. It was an extremely tough family decision but was made easier by the management & staff. From the start mum
was welcomed and enjoyed the banter & chat with all the staff. She's well cared for, fed, watered & most importantly is safe in her new environment. She's treated with care & respect. Still manages to enjoy some activities she did at home, has her hair done weekly, attends the social events as much or as little as she wants. Whilst her health has deteriorated(all related to age not care) we are grateful that mum is in ML & this gives all the family peace of mind. The whole situation has not been ideal & probably not how we envisaged the twilight years of her life would pan out but we are grateful for the kind, caring & safe environment in which mum now lives

We're so pleased that your mum has settled in well, enjoying the conversations, activities, and familiar routines that are important to her. Ensuring she feels safe, respected, and comfortable in her home is always our priority, and your kind words reassure us that we are achieving this. We also deeply appreciate your recognition of the care provided as your mum's health has changed. Mum feels as she is at her home, she absolutely love it to be at Chestnut Court considering she was admitted for receiving of end of life care. Now she sits in the chair, enjoying herself every day, which is amazing. Mum never wanted to go to the care home but she is very happy here and us as the family,
we don't mind to travel further as we can sse that Mum is very well cared for. She picked up 200%. She is eating and drinking well, food is excellent. Mum is on nursing household and the staff are all very friendly, they always have time for mum and they make me feel welcome every single day, they ask me if I'm OK, they always offer me food or drink. We can not fault anyone in this home. We would recommend Chestnut Court 100%.

Mum has been at 'The Lakes' for almost 18 months now and has been treated with nothing but kindness and respect, as have I. The Care Team keep me well informed of any health issues my Mum may be experiencing. The home is comfortable, clean and well furnished and every care is taken to provide activities
that appeal to all residents. Great care is taken to keep everyone healthy, happy and well. In the run up to Christmas a cheese and wine evening was laid on for residents and their relatives, at which the kitchen team excelled themselves by providing cheese and wine pairings with lots of beautifully presented nibbles for us all to enjoy. Musical entertainment was provided by the talented and versatile staff team. There was also a very well organised coach trip out for all residents and relatives to a local garden centre for lunch and then a tour round the lovely nearby villages, culminating in a drive through Cirencester to enjoy the Christmas lights which we all enjoyed.

I regularly volunteer at Edwardstow court, sometime as a general volunteer and sometimes with my Therapy Dog. Anytime we are there, we are made to feel very welcome by the staff and it's an absolute delight to work alongside them to give the residents a nice experience.
Once of the main things I
love about Edwardstow Court is how so much of what happens is resident led eg I now teach BSL as the residents enjoyed a trial session and we now do it every fortnight. They want to be able to communicate with dignity.
I always leave feeling uplifted.
Reply from Katerina Pippi, Team Member at Edwardstow CourtThank you so much for your incredibly kind words and for the time, care and enthusiasm you bring to Edwardstow Court.
We are truly grateful for the wonderful contribution you make, both as a general volunteer and alongside your Therapy Dog. The joy and comfort you help bring to our residents means more than we can say, and it's always a pleasure to welcome you through our doors.
It's especially lovely to hear your thoughts about our resident-led approach. Supporting our residents to shape their own experiences, like choosing to continue with BSL sessions so they can communicate with dignity, is something we're very proud of. The fortnightly classes you now teach are such a brilliant example of how meaningful activities can grow from listening to what our residents want.
See you again soon.

Mum is in chestnut court for a care assessment regarding her care needs. We have been very pleased with the diligent and quick turnaround process from being in hospital to being at chestnut court. We are very grateful that mums care needs were welcomed and processed very quickly for her benefit. All
The staff from the different departments are very kind and helpful and have responded to her needs very well. She is very content at chestnut court and grateful for the medical care and her individual needs. The care and nursing staff are very helpful kind and considerate to mum. The room is clean and fully aired and all the things that were not there were rectified by the maintenance staff promptly. We have added a few things from home and mum says it feels like home to her. Mum is enjoying the food and the routine of sitting at the table with the other residents. It's very much a family atmosphere. We are very grateful and the peace of mind that mum is cared for 24/7 is a relief for us.

He is happy here, calls the staff his extra family, which shows how much he thinks of them. All staff are really caring and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. Couldn't have picked a better home for him.

Mum has been a resident at 'The Lakes' for over a year. Mum has settled there very well. The entertainment staff are excellent, especially Luigi/Paul, there are a lot of varied activities on offer. The staff are patient and do their best to find out what might interest the residents. The food is very
good, Marie the chef make excellent cakes. The facilities are very good at 'The Lakes'.
