Edwardstow Court Care Centre will have 48 bedrooms, split over three floors and will offer both residential and dementia care. The home will offer household units with eight bedrooms; each unit will have a comfortable sitting room, kitchen and dining area.
The single bedrooms have en suite shower and toilet facilities, with assisted bathrooms also available in each household unit.
The home layout includes a café, residents' shop and hair salon whilst outside the secure landscaped gardens will allow residents to enjoy the outside in complete safety.

Job Title: Home Manager
Marion Flett is the General Manager at Edwardstow Court Care Centre, and has worked in the care industry for nearly 30 years. Marion recently joined OSJCT to commission Edwardstow Court, and is excited to establish the team, and set up policies and procedures to ensure the home meets all the Care Standards. She says it’s wonderful to see the home develop and gain character.
Marion has a Registered Managers Award, NVQ level 4 in Care and NVQ level 4 in Training and Development, and a City & Guilds in Business Management. She began her career working as a care assistant when she fell in love with the job; helping people and vulnerable adults, providing the much-needed care they require and supporting their loved ones. Later after completing her NVQ awards, she transitioned into home management, then business management, regional and quality roles, adding the variety which makes it the most rewarding career.
Marion believes it’s important to get to know the residents, treat them as individuals and support them to live as they choose.
Job Title: Deputy Manager
Sian Howes has 12 years experience in health and social care, and is the Deputy Manager at Edwardstow Court Care Centre. Sian joined OSJCT in March 2009 as a housekeeper and has since progressed to the position of Deputy Manager. Sian has gained experience by working her way up in the care industry and has earned her NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care. Sian fell in love with the industry, as she always felt she wanted to make a difference and says this is how she can accomplish it. She believes that it is very important to get to know each resident and treat them as an individual and support them to live the way in which they choose.
Sian is very excited to be part of the team at Edwardstow and to help it become a home for the residents.
Job Title: Head of Dementia Care
Cheryl Freeman has 20 years experience in the health and social care setting, and is the Head of Dementia Care at Edwardstow Court Care Centre. Cheryl started her career off in Newquay Hospital as an Auxiliary Nurse. She has been with OSJCT for 3.5 years and has worked her way up to Head of Dementia Care and has gained her NVQ in Health and Social Care.
Cheryl likes to make a difference in people’s lives. She feels the best way to achieve this is by spending quality time with each resident and learning all about them so she can support their needs and respect their preferences.
Cheryl is very excited to be part of the team here at Edwardstow Court and looks forward to making it feel like a home for all residents.
Job Title: Activities Co-ordinator
Gemma Joynes is the Activities Coordinator at Edwardstow Court Care Centre. She joined the Trust in 2013 as a housekeeper before becoming Activities Co-ordinator and Dementia Lead in 2014. She has completed her BTEC Level 2 Award in Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care. Gemma has lived in Stow-on-the-Wold since she was a child and has great knowledge of the local area. Gemma is looking forward to making Edwardstow Court part of the community and is especially interested in encouraging the younger generation to come to the home.
In Gemma’s spare time, she loves to spend time with her two children and husband and having family days out.
