Review of Madley Park House from Clare S (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My Mother is a new resident at Madley Park - she has only been here for 3 weeks. She is settled in and I am very pleased with everything. The care and support is excellent and everywhere is so clean + tidy. We are all encouraging my Mum to socialise more but this may take more time. Her room is so lovely - A new home for her. It is wonderful knowing she is being cared for and is safe.

Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Madley Park House

Review of Madley Park House from Stuart M (Son of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Having had no experience of care homes, Madley Park House took my mother in on an emergency. I have been taken aback by it all. For my mother she can now be well looked after, cared and supported. It will bring her an improvement in her wellbeing that has contributed to poor health. For the family it gives comfort she can be looked after by carers who know what to do. Finally, with your care we know our mum is in the best place. Thank you.

Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Madley Park House

Review of Longlands from D H (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My father in law was very reluctant to let his wife of 66 years go into a care home and only first agreed to a 3 week respite care. He is 90 and caring for her with Alzhimers, but not after seeing how much care she is receiving from the excellent staff he has now decided to have her stay. The staff are very tentative to her needs, very patient with her and the level of care is brilliant. We are kept informed of everything that happends and dad couldn't be happier. 5 stars all round.

Review of Townsend House from A W (Son of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mum was initially admitted to Townsend House for respite care which was amazing. She was well cared for and very very quickly made significant improvements in her wellbeing.
The staff are friendly and helpful- everyone you meet seems to know mum and is happy to help with any queries we have.
Mum has thrived in Townsend House. We have now managed to get her in there permanently which is amazing as she is happy there. ( she said to me recently 'do you think I could stay her? I really like it')
The activities for residents are a great source of fun and stimulation for mum- it has become clear to us that she has been missing social interaction and stimulation and is now having a new lease of life as a result.
Navigating getting her there permanently has been a challenge for many reasons but throughout the period the staff have been supportive and compassionate helping us get through each stage.

I am delighted and grateful that mum is here and cannot thank them enough

Review of Madley Park House from Lianne P (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Our mother has Alzheimer's and was finding living independently increasingly challenging. We visited several care homes in Witney and, whilst some met our main criteria such as clean, cared-for en-suite rooms and the facility to provide a permanent home for residents with dementia until end of life care, Madley Park was the one that stood out as a caring and nurturing environment where we could envisage our Mum being happy. Our instincts were right and since the day she moved in, she has gone from being anxious, lonely and at times unhappy to feeling cared-for and respected, as well as enjoying lovely relationships with her carers. The care she receives is offered with sensitivity and where she was reluctant to accept support with personal and practical tasks from carers in her own home, she has surprisingly accepted this support from the wonderful staff at Madley Park. The staff are always warm and welcoming and are clearly very fond of Mum.

Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Madley Park House

Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. Review of Old Station House from C R (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 July 2026 Submitted via Website

Mum received exceptional care throughout her time here. Every member of staff was kind, compassionate, and attentive, always treating her with dignity and respect. What meant the most to me was that they saw her as an individual, not just an elderly resident. They took the time to get to know her and ensured she felt valued, comfortable, and cared for every day.

The team also supported us through an incredibly difficult time. They kept us informed, listened to our concerns, and always offered reassurance when we needed it. Their kindness and understanding made such a difference, and over time they became like an extended family. Knowing Mum was safe, happy, and surrounded by people who genuinely cared gave us great peace of mind. We will always be grateful for the compassion shown and would wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful team to anyone looking for outstanding care.

Review of Stirlings from Trevor S (Son of Resident) published on 1 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The home is relaxed comfortable environment for my dad. Dad is a self funder at present. The staff are friendly, helpful, pleasant, and caring to the residents and visitors. We can pop in unannounced if needed to. Dad has mislaid his personal items, leaving them in different places. The staff are excellent tracking these down! The dining area is nicely laid for meals, varied menu's and very nice food. Drinks and snacks from the trolley throughout the day. Weekly dr check for all residents. Excellent dr, reviews medication etc. Hairdresser, chiropodist calls in. Lovely gardens, awning for hot weather, good seating, gardening club, raised beds for helpers (residents) bird box painting, art and crafts, puzzles in day room, seated exercises, ball games (adapted) book club. Lots of events, weekly singer, afternoon tea for residents/visitors on Wednesdays. Excellent activities manager, adapted soft tip darts. Lovely room for dad.
