My mother is treated with the utmost respect and care. She has been a resident at Henry Cornish since April 2016 and is very happy there. She always comments to me about how lovely the staff are and how well she is treated by them. The management team is first class. Whenever medical issues arise the
response is always timely and appropriate whether by way of treatment by the staff or by way of summoning approrpriate outside agencies should further treatment be required. As her next of kin and holding her Power of Attorney for Health and Welfare, I am always consulted about such matters and whenever there is an issue about Mum's health I am promptly contacted by telephone by the care lead. Activities are arranged which I know the residents love. More of those activities would be appreciated by the residents I am sure. I witnessed a volunteer from the local school assisting with activities recently and she was very enthusiastic and caring.

Spencer Court

from J H (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 October 2025
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We moved our mother to Spencer Court in February 2025 for emergency respite due to a rapid deterioration in her condition; she was subsequently diagnosed with dementia and became a resident of Spencer Court. A very stressful situation was made 1000% easier by the Spencer Court - the staff, the care
and the accommodation itself. Immediately we knew our mum was in very good hands. The care second to none with the staff themselves viewing Spencer Court as a family. Lots of our mums' carers have been there for years. The staff were endlessly caring when our mother felt lost or distressed and knowing she was being looked after so well was a huge comfort to us all. We are now moving our mother to another part of the country to be closer to family and having now visited lots of other homes, Spencer Court remains at the top. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Meadowcroft

from Jan I (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Dad chose to go into Meadowcroft when he got to a stage when he was lonely and couldn't look after himself in the manner he would like .He was still bright and capable and the staff at Meadowcroft really made him feel welcome and looked after him.
In the early days he was able to get on his mobility
scooter and take himself into Thame to pick up a bit of shopping and have a coffee in one of the local cafes. He joined in with the activities, particularly enjoying Thursday Coffee mornings.
The staff were amazing and really took care and interest in him and his past life.
As he got older he became more dependant and less mobile and the staff really looked after him to meet his changing needs. He called Meadowcroft 'home' and after a spell in hospital he kept saying he wanted to go 'home' to Meadowcroft.
We can't thank the staff enough for their care and love they gave him over 18 months.

I recently had a respite stay at Wellford Gardens, it was a truly fantastic stay. Everyone was so welcoming and attentive to my needs, I felt like everyone made an effort to get to know me and what I needed during my stay. The home really does have a community feel and the teams are all fantastic. I
will be coming back when I need to, this stay has really helped my overall health and wellbeing - Thank you everyone

My mother spent two weeks of respite care at Isis House where she was well cared for. Although she missed home she said 'this is a good place, thank you for choosing it for me.' She described the carers as kind and cheerful and thought the laundry service was very efficient! We were very grateful for
the 2 week breathing space where we could, as a family work out how my mother's needs would be best met going forward. Thank you Isis House!
