Heartfelt thanks to all the amazing staff at Fremantle Court. Your compassion, patience and kindness made such a difference to my father during his convalescence and also during the final few days of his life. You treated him with dignity and warmth, and your unerring support helped us through an incredibly
emotional and exhausting time. Without this support, we would not have been able to cope, and for this, we are eternally grateful. Thank you for the care, dedication and humanity you show every day. Every member of staff is absolutely amazing!!

My mother has dementia and was immobile since arriving at the home around 2 years ago. I have always found that the staff take great care of my mother with nursing care and general wellbeing, and if she is poorly I get a call straight away. The staff take note of what the residents' likes or dislikes
are regarding food and drink, and hobbies, such as (in my mother's case) the garden and flowers. As time has gone on my mother's dementia has got worse but the staff are well trained and deal with it very well. From the start I have always received a very warm welcome when I visit, and I am amazed that they all know my name, as well as my mother's. There is always something going on in the large reception area with residents from all the wings enjoying things like a tea party, flower arranging, word games, exercises, etc, with entertainers visiting regularly. The home is kept very clean, decorated regularly, with a pleasant garden. I am extremely happy with my mother's care.

Icknield Court

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our grandmother has lived at Icknield Court for some time now, and we continue to be deeply impressed by the standard of care she receives. The home is exceedingly well run - calm, organised and quietly professional. The staff are the heart of the home; genuine, warm and attentive in a way that never
feels forced. They treat residents as individuals with patience and kindness. The building itself is clean, bright and spacious with plenty of comfortable corners for conversations or privacy. Our grandmother's room overlooks the courtyard garden where the resident muntjac sometimes wanders through, and red kites can be seen overhead - small details that bring real joy. Meal are excellent, both nostalgic and modern, and the activities programme is full and thoughtful. We especially like 'The Weekly Sparkle', the in-house magazine that keeps everyone connected and entertained. Located just minutes from Princes Risborough, Icknield Court offers genuine value, dignity and peace of mind. It feels like a place where people are truly cared for.

The staff are always attentive, caring, and on hand when needed. The activities team are friendly and often hilarious - it's hard to engage everyone all the time, yet they somehow manage it with humour and warmth. My husband especially enjoyed helping with the resident cat, a firm favourite who brightens
the day.

Family and friends are made to feel welcome, and residents are treated with dignity and genuine affection. The facilities are well laid out and clean, with pretty gardens. Mum seemed happy with the food, which was varied and nourishing. Regular wellbeing checks, hairdressers, chiropodists, and beauticians add to the homely feel. The laundry service was immaculate, even during short respite stays.

Having seen other homes over the years, I believe anyone can be staff, but it takes someone special to be a carer. The team here truly care. Compared with others, the cost feels fair and reasonable. We're grateful to have found this local gem.

I would like to say a big thank you to Fremantle for the care that they are giving my mother. After a long hospital stay, mum had to move from the residential wing into a nursing wing. She has built up strong relationships with the carers and nurses (the continuity of staff within the wing is invaluable),
who have got to know her well, and who go the extra mile to ensure that she is happy. Everyone from the activity staff to the receptionists are super friendly both to mum and us when we visit. Also a shout out for Xiao (the manager) who so obviously really cares about the residents, is happy to muck in where ever she is needed and who, as far as I can tell, works incredibly hard at a very demanding role. Many thanks to all.

Really pleased with Chesham Leys care home. It suits my wife ideally & is a good medium size home with 2 small outside garden areas & a comfortable lounge area & reception area. All the staff are very helpful & management 'on view' & very approachable. The food is good wtih very adequate portions &
the only reason activities rating is satisfactory is because my wife is not good at these things & prefers from choice to come with me, either in the lounge or her room.

I am pleased to say that my parents received exemplary care during their time at Fremantle Court. Mum was carefully looked after throughout her stay and staff were always patient and kind. She gradually lost all appetite as part of her Alzheimer's but the carers were endlessly inventive, working out
what she liked and helping her eat and enjoy food for as long as possible. By the end of her life, she was not at all interested in food and staff respected her wishes whilst making sure she stayed hydrated and ate if and when she wanted to. I was always kept informed about her health and what was happening, I don't think I could have chosen a better place.
My Dad went in at the same time as Mum because of his dementia. He too received care of the highest standard. He joined in many of the activities, especially anything sporty. As his dementia progressed, he had to move to a different wing and this was handled with care.
I recommend Fremantle Court wholeheartedly.

I visited my nanny this afternoon and when we walked in everyone was very friendly and said hello. A member of staff looks after my nanny and is always very friendly and helpful. The home is very clean and tidy and everyone made an effort to say hello to my little boy who loved saying hello to all the
staff and residents. I met another member of staff who was sorting my nanny's laundry and he stoped and spoke to my nanny which was very sweet of him. The staff are very caring and I couldn't ask for better people to be looking after my Nan. Lewis House is a lovely place and I am very grateful for everything the staff do. A big thank you to you all!

My husband has been in Lent Rise for about 7 weeks now and I must say that I'm very impressed with the level of care that is provided. All staff are so helpful and caring and my husband, all thought at the stage of 'end of life care' is far more settled than when in hospital. My husband's dignity has
always been very important to the staff. The nursing staff are wonderful as are the carers, management, right through to cleaning staff, they always have a cheerful disposition and are always ready to help.
It is great that they allow animals to visit as well so I'm able to take my Labrador to see hubby. The other day, although sadly I missed it, they even had a miniature horse visit them. A true home from home.
It is always clean and tidy and very well presented. There are plenty of activities to get involved with. I have great peace of mind that he is so well cared for now that he can no longer be at home with me.
