Overall Experience
Overall happy with Wing View Care Centre. Staff are lovely, friendly & kind. They work hard & try their best for the residents.
Activities for residents need to be broadened. Also the meals need to be more varied please.
At times not always hot.
The care centre does need more staff.

Thank you everyone for all your care & attention!!

Reply from Gail Close, Home Manager at Wing View Care Centre

Thank you for your kind comments. Menus are discussed regularly with residents and adapted to meet their wishes and more recently the weather. The activities co-ordinator is new in post and is developing a varied and engaging programme of activities with the residents. We are a new home and recruitment is ongoing so lots of new faces in the home in the coming weeks.

It was my mother's 92nd birthday; they went above and beyond to accommodate this special occasion, putting on a fresh afternoon tea party. All the residents joined in with singing Happy Birthday to her. Not for just today we find all the staff extremely friendly and accommodating.

Review of Wing View Care Centre from H B (Wife of Resident) published on 15 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My husband was diagnosed with dementia in 2022. I recognised the need for a care home offering respite care. I was immediately drawn to Wing View as it was a not-for-profit care home, and I felt the ethos would be about care in the true sense of the word. Everywhere was beautifully decorated in colours, creating a calm and peaceful living space. My husband moved into the home permanently in March 2026, and warmth, understanding, and dedication from the care team are palpable. Every resident is treated with love and respect, and individual needs are paramount. The catering are wonderful, housekeeping are superb, and the atmosphere is joyful. There are coffee mornings and numerous activities for all.

I found the staff very pleasant and helpful, but some of their timings in their duties appears to leave gaps in some 'jobs'. I understand that this is difficult when you are trying to 'grow' the business but many of the residents are lovely people (one in particular) but generally they are good fun.

Overall Experience

I have seen a number of care homes and the finish of wing view is excellent- such lovely facilities and spaces. The staff made the check in really easy, and the care and support they deliver to my dad is excellent. The management are friendly, care leaders efficient, it really is a great place. Im so confident that dad is getting the care and support he needs every minute of every day. I cant speak highly enough of wing view.
