This is a very friendly home & I can do the things I would like to do and not feel forced. I must admit I like being prompted and try to be on time first thing in the morning. It was Monday morning, and we all scrambled down to the bottom floor. It was a bit crowded, and carers came through to spend
a few moments in the lovely garden. Perhaps when it's sunnier we can work out in the garden. Everybody very friendly.
Reply from Harry Marsh, On behalf of the team at Hayward Care CentreThank you for sharing your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear that you feel Hayward Care Centre is a friendly home where you can enjoy doing the things you like, without ever feeling pressured. Supporting independence while offering gentle encouragement is very important to us, so it's wonderful to know you appreciate the prompts in the morning too. It's also great to hear you're enjoying time in the garden, we're certainly looking forward to making the most of it when the sunnier weather arrives! Thank you again for your kind words, they mean a great deal to the whole team.

I feel mum is very well looked after and on the whole in clothing coordinate which in the past would have mattered to her. I think perhaps more activities would be good than I do realise it might be hard to get residents in Pearl to cooperate.

Mum has been resident since Oct 25. Since then, she has been very comfortable and well cared for. The staff are very friendly and caring to Mum and all of her family. We are kept informed of any changes to her condition, treatment/care plans and medication. No complaints whatsoever. We're more than
happy with her care.

Seymour House

from Katherine B (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 January 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
There are not enough positive words to express my experience of Seymour House as a care home. My dad was a resident from April '25 until early January '26 and in that time, despite limitations, his health actually improved! I could put that down to the level of care, good quality food (and lots of it)
and the interactions with other residents who he came to know as friends. Seymour House is obviously a care home, but you can see the lengths that the management and care team go to, to ensure each resident gets to feel like it's "their" home.
As dad's health declined, his care was adjusted accordingly, so he didn't have to endure any additional stress. Kindness, respect, dignity and love are words that come to mind when thinking about the care team and how they related to my dad. I will be forever grateful to have found such a wonderful place for Dad to live out his final months and I would 100% recommend Seymour House. Thank you xx
Reply from Steve Gardner-Collins, On behalf of the team at Seymour HouseThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are truly touched by your kind words and by the trust you placed in us to care for your dad during such an important time in his life. It means a great deal to our whole team to know that he felt comfortable, cared for, and at home with us, and that his health and wellbeing benefitted from the care, companionship, and environment at Seymour House. Your recognition of our team's kindness, respect, and dedication will be shared with everyone, it is exactly what they strive for every day. We were honoured to support your dad as his needs changed and to ensure he was able to live his final months with dignity, comfort, and peace. Thank you again for your recommendation and for allowing us to be part of your family's journey. Sending our very best wishes to you and your loved ones.

My friend is a resident at Athelstan House and she is thoroughly enjoying it, especially the group activities.
She has recently been on a group trip out too.
There is always something going on.
The care staff are warm and friendly and also very welcoming to me when I visit.
She was initially
unsure about moving in to a care home but now says she is so pleased she did.
