My Mum was a long-term resident at The Priory, and it seemed entirely appropriate that I should ask whether the Home would hold a small reception - after her Commemoration of Life/Funeral service - so that mourners could see the wonderful surroundings in which Mum had spent the latter part of her life,
and fellow residents and staff could have the opportunity to greet the family and say a final farewell.


The management and staff could not have been more welcoming to the idea. The Home was looking magnificent, the residents' dining room had been transformed into a welcoming space, with photos and memorabilia of my Mum for all the guests to see. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the staff had prepared a chocolate cake (Mum's favourite) by way of remembering her, for all to enjoy.


The guests were impressed with the facilities, the welcome and the kindness of all the Priory staff. It was a perfect setting to celebrate Mum's life, which had been enriched by her time at the Home.

I needed to get my husband, who has middle/advanced dementia into a care home as a matter of urgency and St Wilfrid's Priory Care Home were able to offer him a lovely, light room, ensuite and with a view. This was initially for respite, but is now on a more permanent basis. The care is compassionate
and professional, and centred on the individual needs of each resident. The food is wholesome and appetising and includes freshly baked cakes and puddings. The laundry service is very efficient. There are some very good activities. I feel fortunate to have a care home 3 mins walk from my home where I can visit my husband at any time and have confidence that his emotional, physical and medication needs are being very well met.

Following the death of my mother-in -law, I have already completed a review, however, in March we held the 'wake' at the care home with the permission of the manager. It was truly lovely. Everything they did reflected he care they had given my mother in law throughout her 6 years there. It really was
the final thing they could do for her. Thankyou.

All the staff are amazing. My mother's condition means she struggles with all aspects of day-to-day life but the love and care they show her is boundless.
Knowing that she is cared for in a loving and safe environment is very reassuring for the whole family.

I have visited one resident regularly and another occasionally. I also bring a group of local people to the Priory to socialise with the residents on a regular basis. I find the staff welcoming and engaged with the residents. The home is kept clean and tidy in the areas that I visit. I understand from
the residents that the food is good.

My wife, Marilyn, moved into St Wilfrid's for respite care in May 2025. She had advanced MS. That stay seamlessly transferred into a permanent stay.
Throughout her stay there the manager and all staff showed nothing but kindness and compassion.
Towards the end of my wife's life, external sources suggested
that it may be more appropriate for her to move into a hospice. Marilyn didn't want to do so and St Wilfrid's was more than happy for her to remain there.
Marilyn died at 4:00 am on 4 March and the night staff were unbelievably understanding and caring.
I have nothing but praise for everyone there.

The care my mother received at this nursing home was truly outstanding. From the senior management team to the dedicated staff who supported my mother every day, the level of compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail was remarkable.
Every member of the team treated my mother with dignity,
kindness, and genuine warmth, which gave our family great comfort and peace of mind. It was clear that they not only cared about her physical well-being but also her emotional happiness.

I have lived in Arundel for 15 years and following a stroke I was discharged from hospital unable to walk. Three different people recommended that I go to The Priory. I was impressed from my first visit, however I visited three alternatives, but came back to enjoy the views and facilities of the Priory.
Excellent management and caring staff, varying from energetic youth to mature and experienced carers. Any requests are immediately attended to. I am delighted to be here.

Care Home are a place for you to live . Here you are able to go out in our beautiful gardens . You can get a room which you can make to a
lovely place for
you . the carers are so lovely and do everything they can do to make you happy . We have got a lovely manager who gives lots of love and look after you very well. If you wish you are able to chat with her if you need help with anything . The manager and carers here give out so very much of love and kindness . They look after you in such a wonderfuö way and are happy to help you. We are also
able to visit places outside Arundel like gardencenter or the sea side . We have also gone for a lovely Icecream when the weather are good . I am so very happy and grateful to live here in this wonderful place and I warmly recommend S:t Wilfrids priory and please come

St.Wifrid's is a first rate care home with a family feel. Residents individual needs are catered for by kind, encouraging and dedicated staff. Nothing is too much trouble and the residents feel safe and happy in their care. Activities such as crafting, playing games and seated exercises take place each
day with key events being celebrated as a community eg birthdays, Valentine's Day etc . It gives relatives great piece of mind to know that their loved ones are being cared for in such a loving, caring environment.

My grandmother Carol has been at St Wilfreds for over a year now and they have been fantastic. She has dementia and can be a handful but all the carers are patient and kind with her. The manager has always been very welcoming.

Just moved my Mum downstairs, amazing care and consideration from the care team as she suffers with Alzheimer's and gets and lost and confused but they have made the transition very easy for Mum with their attention towards her.
All round very happy with St Wilfrids and special thanks to the volunteers

Having to put my father in a care home could have been a frightening experience however, the Manager, Lorraine, and all of her staff have been brilliant from day one.
I was kept up to date all along the process and when my father went in he was greeted by everyone.
The home is very well run, clean
and with good hearty food served.
I can honestly say it is a home from home.

My mother has been a resident of St Wilfrid's Priory Care Home for 7 months now and the whole family are very happy with the care she is receiving. A wonderful care home, with fantastic staff. The setting is a beautiful building with amazing surroundings and garden. The residents' rooms (flats) are spacious, airy, great views, a real home from home. A lovely large residents lounge, dining/games room, with home touches everywhere. The staff are
caring, friendly and provide the gold standard in care. Extremely varied activities with something to suit everyone, from gardening to crafting, baking to reading, music to table top games and much more. Group activities and one to one. Everyone works so hard and more, to provide residents with care, respect, happiness and dignity. Highly recommend.

After eight weeks in hospital my mum moved into St Wilfrid's, she has now been there for two months. The transition from living independently was smooth and from the moment she arrived she was made to feel very welcome. All of the staff are very friendly, polite, caring and compassionate. I am so happy
that she has settled into her new home and is content and happy.
