This is not a one off since the transfer of ownership staffing levels are shocking at weekends with it appears the excuse being not fully occupied house do not get full staff.

We will always be grateful to Katie and the whole team at Lewin House for everything they did for Des. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Saskia and Christine x

During her stay she was well looked after by all staff. There were, as always in any organisation, some who went to extra care beyond their duties. It is a difficult job looking after dementia patients particularly those with complete incontinence and extremely limited movement. All staff were very kind and helpful.

Dad was a resident at Lewin House care/nursing home and fell ill during his first 2 weeks. Dad already lived with Alzheimer's and physical decline. Lack of activity led to the swallowing reflex to weaken, causing pneumonia and chest infection. Dad received end of life care back at Lewin House where all the staff were fantastic. 11 out of 10. Dad died in his room comforted by family and his favourite music while he was sleeping. Perfect.

My wife is in room 22 block 1 her care is second to none thank you all for caring for my wife of 53 years.

I have been very impressed by the quality of care my next of kin has received at Lewin House, enabling her to participate in pilgrimages and made the best of her life. The care and thoughtfulness of the staff has often been outstanding and much appreciated. This was especially so as my next of kin approached the end of her life.

My mum is looked after with care and respect by all the staff, they genuinely seem to care about everyone in the home. Mum has all that she needs, she is encouraged to do activities when she feels up to it but respected when she just wants to stay in her room.

My Mum was cared for for over 3 years by the excellent friendly staff in Lewin House with dignity and compassion right to the end. She was bed bound but always clean, well fed and safe. The staff were kind and patient even when Mum wasn't easy to deal with. They always included me in decisions which was greatly appreciated,Thank you to everyone.

I visited my nanny this afternoon and when we walked in everyone was very friendly and said hello. A member of staff looks after my nanny and is always very friendly and helpful. The home is very clean and tidy and everyone made an effort to say hello to my little boy who loved saying hello to all the staff and residents. I met another member of staff who was sorting my nanny's laundry and he stoped and spoke to my nanny which was very sweet of him. The staff are very caring and I couldn't ask for better people to be looking after my Nan. Lewis House is a lovely place and I am very grateful for everything the staff do. A big thank you to you all!

My mum is in the home. The care that the practitioners give is second to none. The food is amazing and mum loves the staff. 3 specific members of staff are so so lovely and patient with mum. Well done everyone.

Mum really enjoyed her time here. The staff were very professional and caring. We only moved her out as she wanted to be near her son.

My grandmother unfortunately had to move into a care home unexpectedly. However, despite it being a big change for my gran, the staff at Lewin House were exceptional. The love and support they provided for my gran was second to none. Everyone made my gran feel so comfortable from the day she came and made her feel as much like being at home as possible. The facilities at Lewin House are incredible, with there being activities suited to all. We could not recommend Lewin House more.

The staff were so friendly and kind to both us and the many friends who visited our sister-in-law during her finals weeks.

My mother (89) moved into Lewin House May 2024 from the moment we arrived and mum was welcomed by the staff and shown to her lovely room, we felt sure she would be happy there. The nurses and carers are kind and caring. I am regularly updated on any changes to her health and medication. Her room is clean and well equipped. The meals look delicious. There are many activities available for residents. There is even a hairdresser available! I always feel that mum is safe and secure at Lewin House.

When my husband and I first walked into the building, it felt as if it gave me 'a hug', as the atmosphere was warm and friendly. It still feels that way, so I wanted you to know everyone is doing their part well.

I have found the care, treatment given to my mother top class. All the staff are caring and look out for mums best interests. Everything is always explained and mum is so happy here. Two members of staff in particular are amazing, helpful and caring. The meals are excellent too.

My father-in-law was a resident here for three years. His health improved noticeably upon arrival, as he was cared for with great attention to detail and respected as an individual right from the outset. The devotion of the staff - carers, nurses, providers of entertainment - everyone - was amazing. We always knew he was safe. The care he needed was such as we could never have provided ourselves, and we are deeply grateful to all the incredible staff who did such a skilled and challenging job, with a smile on their faces. They clearly grew to love him, and even when they were short-staffed his needs were met and staff were friendly and cheerful with him and with us. There were always new photographs up in the public areas, often with my father-in-law as an active participant in the activities. When the end came, they informed us with the same kindness, gentleness and thoughtfulness that characterised his care; we remain profoundly grateful.
