I have been extremely impressed with everyone at Lewin House. They ensured that the right level of care was arranged for my mother. The care staff, nurses and management were fantastic in getting everything prepared to welcome her. The care, patience and personal attention they give to residents is great. They really live their values of putting care and kindness at the heart of all they do. Thank you so much to everyone.

Our mum arrived at Lewin House for palliative nursing care in February 2021 and died in late April. She had transferred from a residential home that was pretty good. But in her short time at Lewin House, we saw what a brilliantly run home looks like. The staff were very caring in both homes, but the difference was in the management. The manager at Lewin House is calm and caring, and that has created the atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble. She also makes herself accessible to residents' families (even during recent very difficult Covid times). You're able to communicate with the home by email (and get an answer); there are regular Zoom meetings, and there is a warm welcome when you arrive for a visit. Staff very quickly got to know and love our mum, and despite her short stay, they were very sad when she died. Nothing was too much trouble for them - they listened to and responded to everything we said and suggested. Can't recommend the home highly enough.

I had a dear friend at Lewin House, Aylesbury, who I visited. Every visit, the home was clean and my friend and the residents all seemed extremely happy and well looked after. A big shout out to one of the nurses and one of the assistant managers and all the staff who made visitors feel welcome and in my experience, look after the residents very well. In my experience, the home is welcoming and secure and I would recommend it to family and friends.

We could not wish for a better place for Mum to live. The care and support is of a very high standard.
The staff are so kind to Mum which makes it a very happy place for her.
My family and I are so grateful to all the staff who are very helpful when I phone Mum and now we are able to visit in the garden. The manager and every member of staff are so welcoming.

I cannot thank them enough and wish everyone hopefully happier times ahead.

My friend has been in Lewin House for several years now and on all my visits, I have found her to be as happy as can be expected. Whether in the day room, or her bedroom, she is always clean and well-dressed. The staff all seem very pleasant and caring in their attitude. My visit, with a little tot of whisky, always brings a smile to her face.

This is the first time we have seen Nan since lockdown began. She looked so well, content and very happy. We were impressed by the professional attitude, care and kindness shown. We came away feeling she was lucky to have found the home. Thank you - our minds are at rest.

Every time I visit my mother at Lewin House I always receive a warm reception from all of the staff I meet, from the cleaners through to the managers. I can not complain about the excellent level of care she receives, especially at this difficult time. I have recommended Lewin House to other families looking for a good home. Lewin House maintains an excellent family feel.

Lewin House has a warm welcoming atmosphere. The cheerful team treat residents and visitors with respect as one would treat a family member. They seem to have a policy of continuous improvement. The decor is updated to reflect the events of the year. Residents individual preferences are checked as a matter of course whether for food choices, activities etc. The medical staff are able to give a detailed response to questions and communication with relatives is excellent.

My mum was only in Lewin House for just under four weeks as she had terminal cancer, however, she was very well looked after during the time she was in there. The staff were all friendly and caring not only to my mum but to myself as it was a very difficult time for us all. The building is spotless and lovely, light and airy. Rooms are very well equipped and spacious. Mum was treated with respect and dignity right up until she passed away.

Lewin House is very special. The care, compassion and dignified way they treat their residents is to be highly commended. Sadly my mother-in-law passed away whilst in their care in June. She was only with them in the dementia unit for a short time, but I cannot fault the care they gave her and wish that she had been with them from the start of her care home journey. All staff are cheerful, friendly and very welcoming, from our very first meeting with them to view the facilities to the lovely lady that cleans the rooms and the cheerful handyman. If I had to choose a care home for myself it would be here. Thank you to you all for making her last few weeks with us as comfortable and dignified as you possibly could. You didn’t just provide the care, you cared and that makes all the difference.

My mother has been cared for by the staff at Lewin House this year in such a way as to have made her feel loved as an individual and care has been given with great kindness and compassion. The house has a great welcome in appearance and freshness and everyone speaks and smiles. My mother settled in really well and was very happy. There was no aspect of her care which gave me cause for concern and I highly recommend Lewin House to anyone looking for a home for their loved ones.

This home is fantastic. The staff work well together and respect each other, and their residents. The care is the best and at all times kindness is shown to all their residents and they treat them with such dignity. The home supports the families as well and keeps us informed of residents care. The lady who runs the activities is so good with the residents and has such a lovely relationship with them and enjoys planning and delivering the activities, which are varied. The senior management team work well together and when you phone up, they always know who you are and know all about your relative. Security is good, but at no time does it feel claustrophobic. The home is light and airy and the decor is interesting. There is lots of lovely artwork on the walls and they change the scenery in the home regularly, with their themed events. The food is good and the menu varies, the chef talks to the residents and gets ideas and requests from them. The home is always spotless.

Although my husband was only in Lewin House for several weeks, we found the care extremely good, friendly (always smiling!) and efficient. His oxygen requirements were always going to be testing! They were very thorough and precise with his needs in this area.
The room was very spacious which gave me with my wheelchair enough room for manoeuvres.

Many thanks!

My dear friend is staying in Lewis House and it is amazing. Every member of staff I have met is friendly and welcoming. All make you feel at home as a visitor. The house is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. There are very homely touches. I could not fault it.

My friend is treated like a member of the family and they can not do enough to make her feel welcome and comfortable.

After visiting several care homes in the area I chose Lewin House as the very best place to look after my sister. I am always confident that I made the right choice because my sister is well cared for and her life made interesting with a variety of activities cleverly linked to topical events and seasonal festivals. Her personality and preferences are respected and catered for and she is mentally stimulated to enjoy the sociable environment. I am happy with the medical care my sisters receives and with the fact that staff management has resulted in the friendly co-operation between personnel at all levels which benefits both residents and staff.
