Reviews

8.4 Farnham Common House has a Review Score of 8.4 (8.429)

The Review Score of 8.4 (maximum of 10) for Farnham Common House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 3 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Farnham Common House in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.629 for Farnham Common House is calculated as follows: ( (22 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 35 Ratings = 4.629

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 3.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Farnham Common House is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.5

    2. Target of 10 positive Reviews (50 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 3 Reviews ÷ 10 Target = 0.300

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

This is an excellent care home that goes the extra mile for the residents. It is very well managed and the carers have respect for the management because they are valued, receive good training and like working at Farnham Common House as a result. The activities provided are varied and everything is done to encourage residents to be independent. The food is good and the accommodation excellent. Whenever there are any issues, however small it might be, it is dealt with quickly and effectively. I really feel the level of care for my Mum to be excellent.

I wanted to let people know how wonderful Farnham House is.
My nan lived there and was so well looked after, all her needs were met and she was treated so well.
The staff are incredible, really caring and supportive and non-stop care at that.
Nan was happy there, the staff really cared about her, always kept an eye on her and made sure she was OK.
I wanted to say such a huge thank you, to you all, it is such a tough job, and you do it with a smile on your faces, you are all angels, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You looked after Nan so well.
You tried to get her to join in with activities, but I know she didn't like that very much, but you never forced her, she could do as she wished.
Her room was lovely, clean, fresh and space for her things.
All the staff are friendly, always ready for a chat when we visited, and as I say, always with smiles.
