My 96-year-old mother has been at Farnham Common House now for nearly eighteen months. I visit regularly and am able to see first hand the level of care afforded to Mum and the other residents. I have attended the activities programmes held in the Lounge and know how much Mum enjoys being part of....
I stated on my review last year that my mother would not be alive today if it wasn’t for the care she has been given at Farnham Common House and my opinion has not changed. It is a delight to visit her and meet with everyone involved in her care and also the other residents. The care staff always make time to speak with me and nothing is too much trouble.
My husband moved here in July 2018. He settled immediately. He is very happy at Farnham Common House. He is well looked after, carers maintain a good standard of personal hygiene. The home is a caring, calm environment. Couldn't recommend enough, very homely.

I particularly like the variety of activities which take place each morning as these encourage the residents to interact with each other and the person running the activity be it singing, carpet bowls or bingo, to use a few examples. Having a leader for activities for people with dementia is essential as they are not able to instigate any interaction on their own.
The staff at Farnham Common House are friendly, approachable, very helpful and caring. I was really worried when we found out Mum was going into a Care home, you see so much bad press in the papers and television news. When the time came for Mum to be booked in the first thing that hit me was how clean/tidy the home was and Mum's room was gorgeous, lovely colours, she had a keyworker, her own bathroom and the dining room/lounge was immaculate. We made the right choice and in the past 2 years I have had no cause for concern and would recommend Farnham Common House to anyone.

The staff have been very friendly, helpful and always taken time to speak to us during visits and contact us regularly if any issues have arisen. Although his condition does not allow him to express anything he seems to have been very happy at Farnham Common House. It is only his deteriorating condition that has led to his move elsewhere, nothing to do with Farnham Common House.

This is an excellent care home that goes the extra mile for the residents. It is very well managed and the carers have respect for the management because they are valued, receive good training and like working at Farnham Common House as a result. The activities provided are varied and everything is done to encourage residents to be independent. The food is good and the accommodation excellent. Whenever there are any issues, however small it might be, it is dealt with quickly and effectively. I really feel the level of care for my Mum to be excellent.
