My mother receives great care at the home despite her advanced condition. She is still treated with dignity and everybody addresses her by her name.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are so happy to know that you are happy with the great care your mother receives at Farnham Common House.
My brother is not an easy person to deal with and needs a great deal of encouragement to carry out simple tasks with his personal hygiene and medication. However, although he frequently objects to taking showers, shaving and taking his pills overall the care staff now can read his moods and respond accordingly. I am pleased with the care he is given here and appreciate all that is done for him.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are so glad that you are pleased with the care at Farnham Common House.
Caring excellent and very attentive. The food is very acceptable and quite good.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review.
Farnham Common House, carers, management and all staff are excellent with their care and attention. He is happy and contented, I visit on a regular basis and I am so glad I chose Farnham Common House and would like to thank everyone concerned for all their help.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate that finding the right care home can be a difficult decision to make but we are so glad that your husband is happy and that you are glad to have chosen Farnham Common House.
The management of visitors (and staff) throughout the pandemic was robust and gave us confidence everything reasonable was being done to keep the residents as safe as possible.
A programme of regular entertainment and activities for residents at the home is in place which helps maintain an engaging mindset for all and a homely feel for residents. Family member engagement and participation is also encouraged.
All in all a very positive place.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a review, Tracey. All of your comments are so appreciated and we are so glad that you find Farnham Common House such a positive place for your Mother.
Friendly, homely care home. The staff are very helpful and caring with my dad. My mother feels reassured leaving him in capable hands. The only negative is the decoration which is a little tatty, needs painting in areas. But this is not respective on the excellent care my dad receives. I am pleased my dad is happy at Farnham Common House and I want to thank the staff for this.
Thank you for leaving a review. Thank you for your feedback, this is noted and will be passed on. We are are so glad that you are pleased and will also pass on your thanks.
Feels like a real family atmosphere. The staff gave a compassionate and loving relationship with residents; they treat them with great dignity, they also have a sense of humour which residents enjoy. Visitors are warmly welcomed. There are a great variety of activities suited to the ability and understanding of the residents.
Thank you for your review, Winifred. Visitors are always welcome, and we're also glad to hear the activities are enjoyed.
Through these challenging times, my Dad and our family have been treated with kindness and respect. The team at Farnham Common House are friendly and helpful and have done their utmost in maintaining contact via video calls and with regular updates on his wellbeing when in-person visits have not been possible. It is a comfort to know that he is happy and well cared for even though at this time we are prevented from spending quality time together. We hope to be able to share in and experience some of the activities and entertainment in the not too distant future.
Thank you for your review. Maintaining contact, especially during these times is so important and we are so happy you are able to stay in regular contact with your Dad.
I would highly recommend Farnham Common House. The staff are all so friendly and helpful at all times, we are always kept informed regarding any issues and with mum's general health. Rooms are all kept very clean, lots of activities for residents to do. I have no concerns with my mum being there as I know she is being well looked after.
Thank you so much for your recommendation. Activities are always welcome, especially during these times so we are so glad we can provide your Mum so much to enjoy.
Dad has been with the brilliant carers at FCH for a few years now. He is well looked after which is even more of an achievement in these trying times. We have regular updates, video calls and visits have been well organised when we have been able to go. That has been surprisingly a good number of times when we were not in maximum lockdown. Of course, before covid visits were not to just dad but his fellow residents there as well. Enjoyable for him and even more so for us playing all the games and helping out with the activities. The staff there are a great bunch. So much so I would say they have become our friends and make us most welcome when we visit. It will be good to get back to all of the outings and entertainment that we had a year or so ago with a trip to tea dances and boats on the river. That will all be back and happening soon I'm sure. So well done FCH for a superb effort in trying circumstances.
Thank you very much for your review. We remain passionate about facilitating visits and video calls as often as possible.
I have no hesitation in recommending Farnham Common House, it is an excellent Care home where the staff really do care. Many have been there for ages and it is very homely. The shared rooms and bedrooms are comfortable and always clean. It is a very welcoming place and I have spent many enjoyable times with my father there, joining in with the activities. Food is good, one year the chef set up a lovely dinner for our family to eat with my father on Christmas day. It is sometimes a challenge to get my dad to eat and they are experts at encouraging him. They have dealt with the covid situation really well, introducing safe visits where possible and keeping me updated on my dad's progress with calls and videos and sharing pictures of my Dad singing, dancing and joining in with many other activities, he certainly has a much better social life than me at the moment!
Thank you so much for your review. You are always welcome to join us for more activities!
What an excellent care home it is! The whole staff is so caring, kind and compassionate, treating my wife (who has been at Farnham Common House for over a year now) with such dignity, and loving care as if she is a member of their own family. Whatever aspect you look at, it really is so amazing and so reassuring that our dearest person is in such good hands. My whole family and I really feel so happy that she is in such a nice place. A big big thank you to all the staff members at this nice place!
Thank you so much for your review. You are welcome and we are glad you are so happy with us.
My mother was cared for with kindness and compassion. Nothing was too much trouble and daily contact through phone calls, video calls and garden visits were much appreciated and facilitated with great consideration.
The management of admin support and care teams have been excellent. We visited the resident on a regular basis, experienced no problems and when we left, we always knew that the resident was fine and that we did not have to worry about anything.
Fantastic home with caring staff and good communication. My mum is now on an end of life care plan and the staff could not be more helpful and considerate - especially two members.
An excellent level of care all around.
Had an amazing evening for my sister-in-laws birthday.
My mother in law's fish and chip dinner was just fabulous. The detail you thought of was just amazing, even down to the photos of Cliftonville Seafront in her own 'personalised' menus. The entertainment was equally brilliant and to see my wonderful mum-in-law singing along to some of the 'good old tunes' just made my year. The staff who were our waiters and waitresses joined in like part of the family. All in, I would not change a thing.
We visited for my sister in laws birthday party. Everybody was kind and welcoming and made her day. The care home itself is usually clean and the staff helpful.
Had an enjoyable evening for my sister in laws birthday.
