I’m the Deputy Manager at Wellford Gardens. I have worked for The Orders of St John Care Trust since September 2025. I’ve worked in health and social care for 12 years, beginning my career as a carer and progressing through a range of roles to my most recent position as Deputy Manager. I am Annabel, our Head of Dementia Care at Wellford Gardens. I have worked in healthcare since leaving education, beginning as a carer and progressing to my current role. My passion for this field is deeply personal, having lost multiple grandparents to dementia, I have witnessed the profound impact it has on individuals and their families, shaping my commitment to providing compassionate, dignified, and person-centred care.
I am approachable, dedicated, and hardworking, and I strive to ensure those in my care live fulfilling lives. I believe a diagnosis should never define a person, and I am committed to promoting independence, choice, and individuality while maintaining the highest standards of care and safety.
I completed my Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care during sixth form, building a strong foundation for my career. Since then, I have continued developing my knowledge through hands-on experience and leadership. I am now eager to work towards my next qualification to further enhance my expertise and improve the quality of dementia care I provide.
For me, dementia care is not just a profession but a purpose. I am proud to support individuals and their families at every stage of their journey.

In particular, she will be looking to involve residents, families, volunteers and the wider community in her events to help create a vibrant environment in a wonderful home, cementing the home’s place at the heart of the community.
On a personal level, Sally enjoys spending time with her family, looking after her two grandsons, and going for long walks with her cocker spaniel, Piper, who also enjoys visiting the residents occasionally.
Bekie has worked with the Trust since December 2023, having been working as an emergency call taker answering 999 calls.

Outside of work, she is studying for a psychology degree.
Bekie also enjoys watching crime documentaries and snuggling up with her rescue cat, Freddie.
