Located in a residential area of Banbury, Larkrise is a 60-bed capacity care home dedicated to person-centred methods. The home offers quality residential, nursing and respite care along with specialist care for older people diagnosed with dementia.

Priding itself on delicious, home-cooked meals, engaging activities and high standards of care, Larkrise's team goes above and beyond to help residents feel at home. Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

My husband moved in July 25 and he has settled in. As I am unable to care for his needs this is the best place for him to be. All the staff I have been in contact with have been lovely and friendly. He has trouble communicating but they do this with smiles and squeezing his hand. He has slowly improved
his speech with one word answers.
He has been made welcome and I know he is cared for and safe when I leave.

Larkrise were outstanding in looking after my Dad in the last few weeks of his life, they kept him as comfortable as possible and were really compassionate with his care i would highly recommend them.

This is the definition of perfection the staff 'location property' amenatives and everything in between is spot on. My mum feels safe very comfortable, and content and leaves the staff and the staff show so much love to my mama, I wouldn't mind staying here myself.

Mum and the extended family have been welcomed so warmly. The circumstances in which Mum was placed at Larkrise were tough, receiving palliative care with a limited life expectation, but Mum has improved significantly whilst in residence and us as a family feel a weight has been lifted from our shoulders
knowing Mum is safe, secure and content. Mum continues to fight for her independence, but also is able to understand her limitations with support. Larkrise is a gem of a place.

My mother-in-law has been a resident for 5 weeks. The overall experience of all Larkrise facilities has been exceptional. The staff are all wonderful, they are caring, supportive and excellent communicators.

Mum loves it and everyone at Larkrise, shes been there a long time now (but thinks its only about 3 weeks bless her!) but yes, everyone loves her (shes no trouble) and we as a family, love everyone there too. Nothing is no trouble, always friendly, always there to advise and talk over troubles (which
there are none!) but always available to talk to and very very friendly. We're so very grateful to them for looking after out mum, a great choice taken all those years ago - Thanks a million x

First class care home. Staff very engaging with residents. Plenty of activities for residents to occupy themselves with. They have bingo, exercise classes and pet ponies.

Mum has been a resident at Larkrise for over 2 and a half years and is very content and settled. Directly you walk into reception you are made to feel welcome and all the staff; reception, admin, care teams, domestic and maintenance are all very friendly. The activities are varied and plentiful which
keeps the residents entertained. Visitors are quite welcome to join in with these which is lovely - the recent refurbishment of the home has given it a lovely bright and clean finish which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. All the staff are very attentive and the residents are well looked after. I am so pleased that we found such a lovely home for Mum.

My mother had to be moved from a Care Home to a Nursing Home, Larkrise, was the one we chose as it was St John Trust and gave her a lovely room and the care she needs 24 hours a day, with everything, from nursing to dressing/ washing her.
She is very happy there and loves the entertainment of music,
she loves watching people.
She has Alzheimer's but is very happy in her own world.

My sister has been living here for 2 years. She settled in very quickly and made to feel very comfortable. She is so happy and loves all the activities as which there are plenty.
The carers are always on hand for whatever they need, very caring and respectful. When we visit we are always made to feel
welcome. Would recommend to anyone.

Kevin O'Reilly

Job Title: Maintenance Lead Joined: 2020

Kevin has worked for the trust for 2.5 years. Prior to working for the trust, Kevin was self-employed in the building trade. Our residents and staff love him and he has built great relationships with them. Kevin likes not knowing what each day will bring, but can turn his hand to most maintenance tasks.


He has recently developed a passion for fitness, and has started going to the gym! Kevin used to train greyhounds and regularly attends meets and races.

Cecelia Nunn

Cecelia joined OSJCT as Bursar in 2024. She brings a wealth of experience from her background in finance, which she applied in her previous role as Senior House Manager at Abbeyfield. There, Cecelia managed multiple properties across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire, overseeing operations, staff, and the wellbeing of residents.
