My husband moved in July 25 and he has settled in. As I am unable to care for his needs this is the best place for him to be. All the staff I have been in contact with have been lovely and friendly. He has trouble communicating but they do this with smiles and squeezing his hand. He has slowly improved his speech with one word answers. He has been made welcome and I know he is cared for and safe when I leave.
Larkrise were outstanding in looking after my Dad in the last few weeks of his life, they kept him as comfortable as possible and were really compassionate with his care i would highly recommend them.
Despite my auntie's diagnosis of Alzheimer's since she has been at Larkrise she has now got a new lease of life and is very happy.
Very nice, stress reduced, compared to living on my own.
It's a lovely place.
The home is a good constant and I am getting used to being here. Most people are helpful and am glad I am still mobile.
I find it excellent in every way.
It's good and comfortable and reassuring having help on hand.
Lovely.
So far all ok.
Have not been here long enough to know but so far so good.
This is the definition of perfection the staff 'location property' amenatives and everything in between is spot on. My mum feels safe very comfortable, and content and leaves the staff and the staff show so much love to my mama, I wouldn't mind staying here myself.
Mum and the extended family have been welcomed so warmly. The circumstances in which Mum was placed at Larkrise were tough, receiving palliative care with a limited life expectation, but Mum has improved significantly whilst in residence and us as a family feel a weight has been lifted from our shoulders knowing Mum is safe, secure and content. Mum continues to fight for her independence, but also is able to understand her limitations with support. Larkrise is a gem of a place.
My mother-in-law has been a resident for 5 weeks. The overall experience of all Larkrise facilities has been exceptional. The staff are all wonderful, they are caring, supportive and excellent communicators.
Mum loves it and everyone at Larkrise, shes been there a long time now (but thinks its only about 3 weeks bless her!) but yes, everyone loves her (shes no trouble) and we as a family, love everyone there too. Nothing is no trouble, always friendly, always there to advise and talk over troubles (which there are none!) but always available to talk to and very very friendly. We're so very grateful to them for looking after out mum, a great choice taken all those years ago - Thanks a million x
First class care home. Staff very engaging with residents. Plenty of activities for residents to occupy themselves with. They have bingo, exercise classes and pet ponies. are some of the things they do. The staff are very very good. I would live there in a heartbeat.
Everything 100%
Mum has been a resident at Larkrise for over 2 and a half years and is very content and settled. Directly you walk into reception you are made to feel welcome and all the staff; reception, admin, care teams, domestic and maintenance are all very friendly. The activities are varied and plentiful which keeps the residents entertained. Visitors are quite welcome to join in with these which is lovely - the recent refurbishment of the home has given it a lovely bright and clean finish which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. All the staff are very attentive and the residents are well looked after. I am so pleased that we found such a lovely home for Mum.
My mother had to be moved from a Care Home to a Nursing Home, Larkrise, was the one we chose as it was St John Trust and gave her a lovely room and the care she needs 24 hours a day, with everything, from nursing to dressing/ washing her. She is very happy there and loves the entertainment of music, she loves watching people. She has Alzheimer's but is very happy in her own world.
My sister has been living here for 2 years. She settled in very quickly and made to feel very comfortable. She is so happy and loves all the activities as which there are plenty. The carers are always on hand for whatever they need, very caring and respectful. When we visit we are always made to feel welcome. Would recommend to anyone.
