Located in a residential area of Banbury, Larkrise is a 60-bed capacity care home dedicated to person-centred methods. The home offers quality residential, nursing and respite care along with specialist care for older people diagnosed with dementia.

Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the

home.

Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should

be paid for by yourself.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law is being well looked after. Friendly, warm atmosphere. Care staff look after all the care needs required. Very clean and the food very good. I wouldn't like her to be anywhere else. It's the best care she's received. I would recommend it to all family and friends.

Catherine Howse
Catherine HowseJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2016

Catherine joined the Trust in 2016 as a Carer and has since completed both her Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care. Through her dedication and hard work, she progressed to the role of Care Leader, Deputy Manager and more recently promoted to Home Manager.

Catherine is now exploring her next step and is preparing to begin her Level 5 qualification. She is excited to embrace the new challenges ahead in her leadership role.

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys all kinds of sports and is a devoted dog lover. She often brings her dog, Cooper, into the home to visit with residents.

Celina Malarska
Celina MalarskaJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2025

Celina joined The Orders of St John Care Trust in December 2025 as Deputy Manager at Larkrise Care Centre. She is a Registered General Nurse with over 20 years of experience in health and social care, having progressed from a Healthcare Assistant into senior leadership roles. Celina completed her Adult Nursing training at Oxford Brookes University and also holds NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care.

Her clinical background is wide-ranging, with experience across acute NHS settings including Accident & Emergency, Surgical, General Medicine, Assessment Medical Unit, Stroke, Cardiology, and Upper GI, alongside extensive experience within care home environments. Celina is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting teams to provide safe, effective, and compassionate services. In her role, she particularly enjoys leading staff development, improving clinical standards, and working closely with families to achieve the best outcomes for residents.

Celina is looking forward to continuing to strengthen the team at Larkrise, enhancing care quality, and contributing to a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and balancing the busy life of being a working parent.

Jade Wise
Jade WiseJob Title:Activities Co-ordinator

Jade has been a career in the trust for three years and an Activities Co-ordinator for two years. Starting off working in a cake shop, she then took the step into working in the care sector in the community before joining OSJCT. She loves anything creative and doing baking and says, “Making people smile is the highlight of my day”.

Cecelia Nunn
Cecelia NunnJob Title:BursarJoined: 2024

Cecelia joined OSJCT as Bursar in 2024. She brings a wealth of experience from her background in finance, which she applied in her previous role as Senior House Manager at Abbeyfield. There, Cecelia managed multiple properties across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire, overseeing operations, staff, and the wellbeing of residents.

Cecelia is looking forward to putting her experience into practice at Larkrise, ensuring the smooth running of the home and supporting both residents and staff.

Outside of work, Cecelia is married and a mother to three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and values the balance between her professional and personal life.

Kevin O'Reilly
Kevin O'ReillyJob Title:Maintenance LeadJoined: 2020

Kevin has worked for the trust for 2.5 years. Prior to working for the trust, Kevin was self-employed in the building trade. Our residents and staff love him and he has built great relationships with them. Kevin likes not knowing what each day will bring, but can turn his hand to most maintenance tasks.

He has recently developed a passion for fitness, and has started going to the gym! Kevin used to train greyhounds and regularly attends meets and races.
