Larkrise is a very caring, friendly and professionally run care home. It is always kept very clean and hygienic. I have spoken to most staff who all have a positive attitude towards caring for all residents.

My mother is very content and happy. She really likes her room and often comments on how good the food is. I have no hesitation in recommending Larkrise, in fact, I have already done so.

Mum has been declining in health for a while now but the staff are always sensitive to her needs. She doesn't like asking for help so it's important for them to keep checking on her, which they do. Everyone is so supportive to me as well, which I really appreciate.

I travelled from Yorkshire to see my Aunt at the last stages of her life. I found I was greeted by the staff and treated very well and comforted me in my grief. The staff at Larkrise were excellent in their great care they gave my Aunt treating her with dignity and compassion. I can't thank everyone enough.

My experience of Larkrise Care Home is one of the highest recommendations, the staff and level of care is very good. The home is very clean and welcoming to both residents and their family. The residents have their own room and en-suite which is very clean and made to feel like home where family can sit and talk in private. The restaurant is set out lovely, the tables have tablecloths and fresh flowers. They have a hairdressers and shop, and now a lovely coffee area. It's a pleasure to walk in and visit.

Friendly and caring staff. Very comfortable accommodation for respite care on first floor easily accessible by lift. Visitors made very welcome. My wife enjoyed her fortnight's respite but seemed to spend most of her time sitting in an armchair watching television. There were various stimulating activities on offer downstairs and I should, perhaps, have advised the staff to do more to encourage her to take part.

However, there is no doubt that my wife was well looked after and visitors commented on how relaxed and comfortable she was. That was also my impression when I spoke to her on facetime from Australia.

Mum came into Larkrise in December 2017 and in the time she has been here she has been very well looked after.
She has Alzheimer's which has deteriorated in the last 12 months but I know she is in safe hands.
Excellent service.

Would definitely recommend Larkrise.

Overall, not too bad. Sometimes not enough staff (but sometimes through no fault of the home). Some good staff and sometimes they are not really helpful enough. Not happy with night staff. Mum does complain they are rough with her (but not sure if that is right or not).

When visiting Mum, no matter what time of day, staff always give a friendly greeting. Her room is clean and tidy and Mum is always smart. She enjoys the entertainments and staff are very good. The meals are very good and she has drinks on hand at all times. It is good that there is a hair salon on site.

Larkrise is modern, well appointed and secure.
Staff are outstanding and caring.
Could not have envisaged any other care centre would have come close to the standards observed.

The only downside is that the carpets in rooms are more soiled than is acceptable (minor quibble).

I cannot praise too highly the care and consideration of all the staff towards my wife as well as to myself, family and friends who come to visit my wife.

The facilities available such as the hairdressing salon are first class and I certainly appreciate the peace of mind I have knowing that she is at Larkrise.

Very impressed with the home, staff very friendly and rooms kept very clean. The only fault is, some days are short staffed and my father has had to wait quite a long time to have his needs seen to.
