This is a well managed care home and very friend care home. The staff are amazing, friendly and always there when residents needed help. The kitchen staff offers good selection of food. The manager and other management staff are always there, good communicator and listener for all concerns. It's nice to be able to talk to someone about any concerns, and help when needed. Would definitely recommend Henry Cornish.

Father had a tumble from his easy chair, staff phoned 999 and informed myself, I took my mother to the home where staff looked after mum really well.
Thank you for your review of our home, we are pleased to hear that you feel we look after your mum really well. It is a real pleasure caring for her, thank you for trusting us with your mum's care.
My mother was a resident at Henry Cornish Care Home from May 2025 until she passed on 3rd April 2026. She was exceptionally well looked after during her stay, including during her last few weeks when it was obvious she wasn't going to be with us much longer. All the carers were very caring people. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The entertainment was also excellent, and even though my mother often said she was too tired to join in, she enjoyed all activities immensely! Last summer, it was almost like she had a new lease of life, enjoying being outside with the other residents and eating in the dining room with her new friends .
Thank you for sharing such a touching and heartfelt review. We are truly honoured that your mother spent her time with us at Henry Cornish Care Home, and we're very grateful for your kind words about the care she received throughout her stay, especially during her final weeks. It means a great deal...
The Henry Cornish Care Home staff continue to provide a friendly, safe and caring environment for my dad.
Despite his increasing needs, the care staff and management are caring, respectful, sympathetic, responsive and generally proactive about his needs. They communicate well with me with any sudden changes in his health.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. We're really pleased to hear that your dad continues to feel safe and well cared for, especially as his needs change. Our team always aims to be responsive, respectful and proactive, so it's reassuring to know this has been your experience....
The whole staff have been excellent and caring, providing my mother with comfort and support in her final days. We could not have asked for better care, for which we are most grateful.

From the very beginning, he was treated with warmth, dignity, and genuine respect. The staff always went above and beyond, not only caring for his needs but also bringing comfort and reassurance to us as a family.

When I brought my husband in for a week's care and respite, everyone was helpful and caring, and I felt happy to leave him. The same was true when I fetched him.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're really pleased to hear that you felt comfortable and reassured leaving your husband with us for his respite stay, and that both his arrival and departure were positive experiences. Knowing you felt supported and confident in our care means a great deal to the team - thank you for taking the time to share this it's really appreciated.
The care home had a vibrant atmosphere from the start as my father arrived and joined in the singing activities straight away. The staff were all brilliant, very caring and professional. MY father always felt secure and content and did not complain once in the nine months he was there. We had lots of personal care regrets in terms of nutrition, and these were nearly always met. We are very grateful to the team for their support and care for my father. Thank you!
It's especially meaningful to know that he felt secure and content during...
My uncle was looked after exceptionally well at Henry Cornish. There is a genuine approach to care at Henry Cornish that I did not witness in his previous care home environment. The team are professional, thorough and above all, 'Caring'. Communications throughout his stay were excellent. My uncle passed away peacefully in December, 2025. He was well looked after. Thank you to all the staff.

It was lovely seeing her interact with our team and the residents and seeing her getting involved with our activities and entertainment. If we can be of further assistance, please dont hesitate to get in contact.
Thank you so much for your care for my dear friend. it not only made happy memories but game my friends husband much practical advice on how to deal with a dear loved one with such a devastating illness as Alzheimer's. Thank you for your kindness to my friend.

My brother in law was well cared for always clean and his room well maintained. It had sufficient amenities for his well being. Staff were always caring and helpful when family visited.
Thank you for taking the time to share your kind feedback. We are very pleased to hear that your brother-in-law was well cared for and that you found his surroundings comfortable and well maintained. It is also reassuring to know that our team's care and support were evident to you and your family during visits. Your comments are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team.
My mother is treated with the utmost respect and care. She has been a resident at Henry Cornish since April 2016 and is very happy there. She always comments to me about how lovely the staff are and how well she is treated by them. The management team is first class. Whenever medical issues arise the response is always timely and appropriate whether by way of treatment by the staff or by way of summoning approrpriate outside agencies should further treatment be required. As her next of kin and holding her Power of Attorney for Health and Welfare, I am always consulted about such matters and whenever there is an issue about Mum's health I am promptly contacted by telephone by the care lead. Activities are arranged which I know the residents love. More of those activities would be appreciated by the residents I am sure. I witnessed a volunteer from the local school assisting with activities recently and she was very enthusiastic and caring.
Thank you for your review of our home and the positive feedback about our management and team at Henry Cornish. It's so good to read how the team keep you in the loop with everything, exactly how it should be. Everyone here will be so thrilled to read how highly we are thought of so thank you so...
Dad's stay at the Intermediate Care Unit allowed him to be properly assessed for his next placement. Staff are friendly and kind and the manager addressed any concerns very willingly. The unit is clean, fresh and modern. It was good that Dad was able to use the garden and resident's lounge and join in some of the activities.
Thank you for leaving us a review of the ICU unit, we really appreciate your feedback. We hope your dad is feeling much better and ready for his next placement. It was nice for him to join in with our activities and meet other residents. If there is anything else we can do for him, please let us know.
My husband who has Alzheimer's attends one day per week for day care. He enjoys his time there and the range of activities he takes part in. The stimulus he receives has made him more communicative. Normally, he seldom initiates conversation. He tells me the staff are very pleasant and helpful, this has been my experience too with those I have dealt with. It is so helpful to me to know that I can leave him in such a caring atmosphere and knowing that he enjoys it.
Thank you for your kind review of our home and new day care service, we really appreciate it. It's been great getting to know your husband and how well he has settled in. He is an absolute joy to care for. If there is anything else we can do for him, please let us know.
Being here has proved a very good gap between hospital and home. On the whole the carers have been very good and attentive. I have appreciated the time that the carers have spent talking to me. The food has been ok and there has always been a vegetarian option.
Thank you for leaving us a review, we really appreciate it. We have enjoyed caring for you during your transition from hospital care to back home. I will pass on your feedback to our chef. We have several events happening, including our weekly Friday coffee morning, you are most welcome to attend. Best wishes from everyone here at Henry Cornish.
