Henry Cornish Care Centre has a Review Score of 9.6 (9.581) out of 10, based on 39 reviews in the last 2 years.

During my regular frequent visits, my Mother frequently comments how carers & wider staff provide consistently dedicated commitment to her ongoing care at the Henry Cornish Care Centre, a fact made more remarkable as she has enjoyed living at Henry Cornish Centre now for many years. I can feel confident in Mums circumstances as Staff will always contact me directly regarding any concerns so that additional support can be available if needed. Mum this year in particular has enjoyed singing groups, chair based exercise classes & creative groups producing various beautiful arts & craft models. Mum loves the gardens & is daily enjoying seeing her roses included in the ever developing private gardens around the care home. Having reached a significant birthday recently, Mum was delighted at all of the advanced work to create a beautiful party room with decorations prepared by the staff who, joined by all the residents & friends singing & sharing party cakes made the day so special.
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback of our home, it really is appreciated. It is an absolute pleasure caring for your mother and we love how much she gets involved with the activities - especially the arts and crafts. We remember her birthday celebrations fondly, it was a great day. Please...
Friendly helpful staff. Took great care of my father. Made him feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. He really enjoyed the food. He was treated with dignity and made to feel special by everyone. Calling him by his name at all times. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of our home, we are very grateful. It is our pleasure caring for your lovely father.
Mum has been in the care home for a few years now due to a fall at home that left her unable to walk again and dementia diagnosis! Mums care has been wonderful even when she is difficult at times, she is happy and content and I know she is very well looked after, the staff are brilliant with her and always do everything they can to keep mum happy! Any concerns that may arise are dealt with swiftly!
Thank you so much for your very kind words. We love caring for your mum, she's been with us for a good for years now and she is most definitely part of the Henry Cornish family. It's been amazing getting to know her and her family. If there is anything we can do for her or you, please let us know and we'd be happy to help.
Efficient and timely communication, friendly and helpful staff, the home accommodates special requests. This gives my family peace of mind that my father in law is being well looked after. He has dementia and so needs special care.
Thank you for your review of our home, we really appreciate it. Our staff will be really pleased to read how highly you think of them through their timely communication and helpfulness. If there are anymore special requests your family need, please do reach out and we'd be happy to accommodate.
Overall very pleased with the care given to my husband. He has improved very much in the last two weeks, I hope it continues when going home next week. Great to be able to visit when it suited me and I enjoyed meeting all the carers. Hoping to use this care home for respite in future.
Thank you for your review of our home, we really appreciate it. It's been great seeing your husband transform in the last 2 weeks; it was a pleasure caring for him and he's welcome for respite any time. If you and your husband would like to join us for our weekly Friday coffee morning, you'd be more than welcome.
Very well looked after, from cleaners to staff. They could not do enough for you.
Thank you so much for giving us a 5 star review, this means the world to us.
I cannot speak highly enough of my care. The staff are always smiling and friendly. Never hesitate to help. The care home was clean and I felt at ease the whole of the stay. I suppose the only negative comment is the plates at mealtime were cold. I would recommend it.
Thank you so much for your lovely, kind words about our home. It is a pleasure caring for you. I will ensure your feedback is passed on and actioned. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. All the very best.
Apprehensive, with a broken leg I was, at 84, scared on arrival. I soon found myself in a safe and secure environment, in which to recover and regain my confidence. Nurses and carers were kind, professional and encouraging. I was treated with courtesy and considered a person with specific needs and preferences. In turn I made an effort to know and remember names.
Thank you for your kind words. It is a pleasure caring for you and as you say you have built in confidence since you came to Henry Cornish. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. I will pass on your thanks to the team, they will be so thrilled.
However, she had a fall, ended up in hospital for two nights. Once checked over she returned to the care home.
Due to to the fact my wife had lost her ability to get around, even with a walking frame, she spent a total of 10 weeks in residence and sadly passed away in early December.
Thank you for leaving us a review of our home, we greatly appreciate it. From everyone at Henry Cornish Care Centre, please accept our condolences. We loved caring for your wife during the time she spent with us.
My mother really enjoyed her respite stay and looks forward to coming back in the future.
We really enjoyed having your mother stay with us, she is very welcome to come again. We host a weekly coffee morning on a Friday if she would like to attend? Thank you for writing us this review.
We found on arrival Henry Cornish Care Centre was very pleasant, clean and welcoming. We visited at the weekend and had to wait a while to be let in and out. The carers that we did see seemed very nice and the two male carers responded quickly when we needed help. The only criticism we have was that a female member of staff came into our father's room at 2 pm and asked if he wanted to go to bed, which we thought rather rude as he was happily chatting with his visitors.
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it. I have sent your feedback to the Home Manager as this isn't our way at all. Please accept our apologies for this.
The home is always welcoming - and the staff are friendly and professional, always happy to chat, always happy to assist and proactive in voicing any concerns about my Dad's well-being. It is a great relief and reassurance to me that he is safe, happy and cared for.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of our home, we really are so grateful. It's an absolute pleasure caring for your father. He has settled in well and as you say, made friends and is sociable. Our staff will be so thrilled to read how highly you rate our care and the home. Thank you and from everyone at Henry Cornish, we wish you a Merry Christmas.
I am an activities assistant volunteer at Henry Cornish Care Home and I really enjoy doing different activities with all the residents. The staff and residents always welcome me. It is the highlight of my week.
Thank you so much for your review of our home. You are an absolute treasure and we can't thank you enough for everything you do for our residents. Lovely to hear that we are the highlight of your week.
They treat her with kindness and respect at all times. They also keep me updated with any concerns they may have (ie a doctors visit)
The food is very good, tea/coffee is available at any time.
Outings are planned, my mum loves going out and talks about them for a long time afterwards. The home also puts on BBQs and other events to include family.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it's greatly appreciated. It really is a pleasure caring for your mum, she has settled in well and loves attending our activities. We are planning our autumn and Christmas events, so please come and join us.
During this time his condition (Alzheimer's/Dementia) deteriorated rapidly, particularly in the last two weeks when he was receiving palliative care, finally passing peacefully away on 23rd September.
I can't thank the management, nurses, physio and carers enough, they were fantastic with Dad, me and my family.
Keep up the good work, it helps so much to know your loved one is being treated with dignity and given the best care.
We are so sorry for your loss, it was a pleasure caring for your father in the short time he was with us. We appreciate you leaving us such a touching review during this difficult time. Our staff will be so thrilled to read your feedback of our home. We hope you are able to join us for future...
My mother has been looked after brilliantly. I couldn't have asked for better care.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, we really appreciate it. Please let us know if we can do anything further for your mother and we will be happy to help.
Dad was first in Henry Cornish as an intermediate care unit patient after breaking his hip, but when Mum sadly died earlier this year he chose to move in as a permanent resident. The move was handled very well and he has settled in as well as possible in the circumstances. Care is good and carers are always friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the door entry system out of hours (when I usually visit) as you can be waiting a while to be let in/out. This isn't a criticism of the staff who get to you as quickly as they can when they are busy - but I wish there was a better system!
Thank you so much for leaving us a review, we really appreciate it. We are sorry to hear about your mum. If there is anything else we can do for your dad, please let us know. Your feedback about the door entry system has been passed to the Home Manager. Thank you.
I found that all of the staff (with no exception) are the most caring and helpful people I have ever met. The service here is second to none.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, you can't get better than what you have written about our staff. We are so very grateful.
I am very grateful to everyone at Henry Cornish. I had all that I needed and the staff were attentive. And kind. Much of the care was outstanding and every problem was attended to without any fuss. The meals were excellent and hot and on time. My room was very comfortable. I was lucky to have a shower.
Thank you for your review of our home, we really appreciate it. We are so pleased that you have settled in well and think highly of the care you receive. It's a pleasure caring for you.
My father has been with you for a week, and we have been very impressed with the Centre. Outstanding, friendly staff and very helpful. He is being very well looked after, and we are very grateful. The only problem has been trying to access the Centre - it's not clear when you arrive how to get in - the doors open automatically but the bell is outside the outer door! Thank you.
Thank you so much for your review and for the feedback. Your father has settled in very well and it's a pleasure having him reside with us. I will pass on your comments about access. Appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Do come and say hello and join us for tea, when you next visit.
