My wife was at the Henry Cornish Care Centre for four and a half weeks, she was looked after very well. It was always clean and tidy with good service.
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it. It was a pleasure caring for your wife and we are pleased to understand how highly you rated our service. Thank you so much.
My only complaint was that the food was either tepid or cold. There was plenty of variety but when served cold it was not very appetising.
Thank you for your review, we are pleased to hear how highly you rate our care and physio staff. I will raise your feedback about the food with our chef and ensure this is actioned. Thank you.
Henry Cornish Care Centre has been very good. Everybody has been caring and helpful. There have been one or two times that I haven't been happy, it was dealt with straight away. So I recommend anybody to come here.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the care you have had at Henry Cornish and that when you haven't been happy, they have sorted things for you. The staff will be thrilled to hear that you find them helpful.
I am very pleased with the care that my grandfather has had and receiving.
Thank you for leaving us a review; we really appreciate it. It's a pleasure caring for your grandfather.
My friend said he felt very comfortable and enjoying his stay there, also saying the food and staff were excellent which I noticed when entering the centre and being greeted by a very pleasant number of staff. My overall experience of visiting my friend was that it was an excellent, efficient well run, management centre with good professional members of staff, very clean and warm with delightful home facilities.
Thank you for leaving a review, we really appreciate it. It's nice to hear how highly you praise our home on your recent visit. You are most welcome any time, please come and say hello next time you're visiting your friend, our kettle is always on! Many thanks.
My mum has had two stays at the Henry Cornish unit in the last few months. She has received excellent care on both occasions and the staff have all been helpful and friendly both to Mum and all of her many visitors. The unit provides a fantastic service particularly in Mum's care, where she was discharged from hospital but not ready to return to her own home.
We're really pleased to hear you well you rate the care your mum received with us when she stayed. The staff really will be pleased; it's at the heart of everything we do at Henry Cornish. Thanks so much!
Care centre is always clean and warm. The staff are always helpful and friendly.
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it. The staff will be thrilled to hear that you find them helpful and friendly. Thanks so much!
Only saw Mum a couple of times in the home due to the distance, however on both occasions her food was terrible, two slices of cheap white bread with chunky pate and a frozen eclair and the second meal also had extremely small portion plus no veg. Mum arrived in the evening and although she asked, completely missed two meals that day too. Her room was very sparse, the bed was very old with a torn mattress and one old sheet. Mum said most of the carers were lovely except one who put his fingers in her mouth with the pills!
We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the care your mum has received with us. We pride ourselves in delivering the highest quality of care and to read this comes as a shock to the staff. Our Home Manager would like to call you to discuss this further, please can you make contact with...
My husband was a resident for almost 2 years. He was cared for sensitively and with dignity. Carers built positive relationships with him and treated him with respect. There was always chatter and laughter which created a lively atmosphere. As he became frailer and more withdrawn he was still encouraged to participate. The staff were always happy to discuss his care. It is a welcoming environment and the professionalism of staff is impressive.
Many thanks for your kind words, we really appreciate it. The staff will be so thrilled to hear how highly you thought of the care we provided to your husband. We pride ourselves on creating a happy and fun environment, so it's great to hear you felt this. Thanks once again.
My mother has been very happy at Henry Cornish Care Centre. There is nothing that she doesn't like about the facilitates, food or carers and I am happy that she is happy. The home is secure with very friendly staff.
Thank you for leaving us a lovely review, we really appreciate it. We are so pleased to hear how happy your mum is with everything at Henry Cornish. We love having her here with us. Do let us know if there is anything further we can do for her.
Everyone seems kind and helpful but Mum says things can be chaotic and when she asks for things they don't sometimes appear. She tells me the food is very good. The only time I was concerned was when Mum messaged me about a caring concern. The Henry Cornish team sorted the concern immediately.
Thank you for your review. It is good to know that the team resolved your mum's concerns immediately. Please don't hesitate to contact a member of staff if you or your mum need anything, we are always on hand to help. Many thanks.
I am not used except by other residents to conduct quizzes and questionnaires. Otherwise very empty and boring. Used to be involved in gardening etc. (Could be again).
Many thanks for taking the time to send us your comments. These have been fed back to the home staff and we will contact you. This is your home too so if there are any activities you'd like to see, please let us know. Please do come and speak to us. when you can. Thank you.
After arriving at Henry Cornish Care Centre after being very ill, I was met from the ambulance by a very kind carer. From then on I couldn't be more grateful. If I need anyone, there is always someone there to help.

I am most happy to be a resident in this care home. The meals are excellent, the staff are very helpful and kind and as an older person I find this is very helpful.

All the staff were excellent and very good and conscientious.
She would have been happy to stay longer!

Mum is here temporarily until there is a place in another home for her. She is well looked after, staff are friendly and helpful.
Thank you for your kind words, we love having your mum here with us. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for her during her stay.
Outstanding level of service from staff to all residents showing care and empathy. Rooms are clean and safe with regular unintrusive inspection. A friendly and social environment for residents and visitors.
Thank you so much for this really lovely review. Our staff will be thrilled to hear how highly you rate the care your grandparent receives here. We pride ourselves on delivering a friendly environment where residents can get involved in as much or as little as they want. Please let us know if there...
Residents are well cared for in lovely surroundings. Staff are supportive, responsive, and friendly. The food is very good and residents' preferences are catered for. The home is currently planning to enhance its environment and activities.
Thank you for your kind words; we're really pleased with our home and continually strive to make it even better. I will pass on your feedback to the whole team, they will be thrilled. If there is anything more we can do for your parent, please let us know. Many thanks.
We chose Henry Cornish Care Centre because we like the atmosphere when we came to look around - there was laughter and conversation in the resident's lounges, and we were made welcome. Residents said they couldn't ask for better in terms of care and friendliness of staff and other residents, the great food and activities on offer. Dad's room was cosy and near to the garden, which was a good size. As visitors, we were welcome at any time. Dad had dementia, and we felt the staff coped with him well and that he was safe.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It is lovely to hear how positive your dad's experience of our home was. We will ensure that all the staff here at Henry Cornish read your review; they will be so pleased. I'm grateful to know that our team made you feel so welcome when you came to visit and that our residents also recommended us to you. Thank you for sharing!
My mum was only in the home for 48 hours but in that time she was peaceful and so well cared for. The staff were efficient and kept me very well informed and I had every confidence that she was in a restful environment when she passed away peacefully, a nurse was with her. Mum would no longer see the TV so they changed the channel to Classic FM and she slipped away peacefully.
We are so sorry for your loss – it was a great honour to be able to care for your mother here at Henry Cornish, even for such a short time. We appreciate you taking the time to write us a review at what must be a difficult time. I will share your kind words with all the staff here.
