With your comfort and well-being in mind, this welcoming home is designed around four 'households' and has a hair salon, music room and cinema. You will find somewhere to relax or socialise with family and friends from your own spacious bed-sitting room, with en-suite facilities, to communal lounge and dining areas which are light, bright and comfortable.
Interesting scents, shapes and colours are provided all year round in their landscaped gardens. There are raised planting beds so you can join in the gardening activities if you so wish. To give you the support you need when you need it, a friendly, professionally trained team are on hand around-the-clock to support you in how you wish to spend your day enabling you to continue a fulfilling and independent lifestyle.
Dedicated Activities Coordinators organise a varied programme of events around each individual's requests, hobbies and interests. The team will be delighted to assist you to continue with existing pastimes, as well as give you the opportunity to try something new if you would like to. They make sure everyone is able to enjoy themselves to the fullest, be that with arts and crafts, a coffee morning or more individual pursuits. Visits from outside entertainers happen regularly and there is a cosy cinema. The home has access to a Trust minibus.
A talented cook and kitchen team prepare tasty, home-cooked meals. The freshly prepared, delicious dishes are carefully balanced to get the best nutritional value and take into account individual dietary requirements and preferences. Seasonal produce is chosen whenever possible and of course, relatives and friends are always welcome to join.

My late mother was cared for with compassion and everything done to meet her individual needs. The staff were partners with us in her care, they communicated well and made sure that Mum and our views and feelings were always taken into account. While able Mum participated in a wide range of activities and had opportunities that she would not have had if still at home, and she particularly enjoyed the visits by animals and birds. The team always met Mum and us with a smile, and made her final days as comfortable as possible.

I always feel very welcome when I visit the home. My husband is bedbound and unable to move or speak but the staff regularly speak to him and most days get him out of bed, dressed and transferred into the lounge so he doesn't spend all of the time in his room.

Moved my Nana here from another care home. So glad I have. The care is excellent and my Nana is much happier. It helps to know she is receiving excellent care and I can feel reassured. It is a very welcoming place and they go the extra mile. For her birthday, we were given a space to host a party for her and they made an amazing cake for her. I would recommend this care home to everyone. The staff clearly take an interest in my Nana and look for ways to personalise her care and activities. Above all things, she is safe and she gets help as soon as she needs it. The team always communicate with us and there is never a time we don't know how she is getting on.

I have over 10 years experience with St John's Trust Monkscroft Care Home, and I can say that the staff from managers, carers, right down to cleaning staff gave their all. They have treated me with such kindness and compassion over the years and I can say that goes for my relatives as well. The care my loved ones have received no one could ask for better. All I can say is a big thank you for over the years making it easier for me at very difficult times in my life and doing it with respect and dignity.
