My mother was very happy at Monkscroft. She was very well looked after, and we are very pleased that mum has such a good time living there. I have been utterly stunned by the care, understanding, and compassion of all staff. I cannot put into words how grateful I am my dad got to spend his last month at this home. He was treated with the utmost care and dignity and I was amazed at how the staff even took care of me while my dad was there especially when he was end of life. words just don't seem enough to say how thankful I am to all staff i was always greeted with a smile when I visited. The home was always clean and smelt really pleasant I can totally understand how this home has an outstanding award from CQC they definitely deserve it.

The staff from reception to the Redgrove ward are always friendly and very helpful. My mother-in-law stayed in the dementia ward, and was always well cared for over a period of nearly 5 years. She engaged with the carers and always seemed very content. When her condition worsened, the staff could not be kinder and made mum comfortable and went out of their way to make her room beautiful and fresh.

My mother has been a resident since 2020 and she has always been treated with kindness and respect. When we visited the staff were often seen talking to her and laughing with her. She suffered with dementia for all the time she was in the home but would tell us 'I like it here' which to us meant everything.

My husband was in respite at Monkscroft awaiting a full time care assessment. After the experience of Monkscroft I was delighted to be offered a place for my husband full term. The staff were paramount to my husband settling in so well at Monkscroft, they were just amazing! The management team proved invaluable to the seamless transition to full time care from respite care. My husband has settled in so well and the staff love him sense of humour, I can't thank all at Monkscroft enough for the love and care they show my husband.

When my dear mum was on an end of life pathway, and a nursing home was agreed, Monkscroft was the place I wanted mum to go, within days and with some help, mum was brought into the Monkscroft family. Mum passed away 4 days later, sooner than I had hoped but her final days were peaceful and comfortable, she was a person and not a patient. The staff were amazing , caring and committed to the folks in their care. Monkscroft and its staff are truly amazing. Thank you.

My mother was taken to Monkscroft care centre at the start of Jan 2025 after being in hospital for many weeks, right from when we arrived for the first time the staff where excellent both with mum and us the family any concerns we had where sorted, she had to travel to hospital for chemo and they sorted her travel from the home to the hospital and back many times, the room she was in was clean + tidy at all times, she was treated as one of the family, the food is fantastic with lots of activities on offer. The care home had been transformed into a winter wonderland. It all looked magical, from the porch to the entrance hall and lounges. They captured the excitement and joy of the season. The entertainment was excellent with visits from local schools and chorus. My friend was able to invite his brothers to the pre-Christmas party and his disabled son was invited to spend Christmas Day with his dad. This visit meant so much to both of them. The staff ensured they both had a very special time. The staff went that extra mile to ensure everyone celebrated in music, fun, food and friendship.

Staff at Monkscroft once again made Christmas a special time, gave gifts and spread happiness among the residents. Most notably, family members were included in the Christmas dinner, where they had booked in advance. The opportunity to join a family member at the dinner table on Christmas Day was most unusual and very much appreciated. Mum's day was very much happier for it. The food was excellent, and we even had a choice, Mum chose the salmon, which was moist and delicious. The cook deserves a commendation for cooking for so many people and providing such excellent fayre.

Many thanks to all concerned, especially in the kitchen.

We were so lucky to find Monkscroft Care Centre! Mum had always said 'Put me on the ground before you put me in a home' and the plan was for her to live with me or my sister, but illness and the NHS took us in a different direction and the outset of Covis in 2020 made it a necessity to become permanent. Thank goodness as the 24/7 care she receives far outstrips what I could have provided.

Staff are great, all the facilities good and the company and engagement are really important. After a very difficult life, Mum is in the comfortable homely place she deserves. Thank you.

Monkscroft is a wonderful home for my 90-year-old mum. Mum wanted to spend her final years at home but her needs became too great for her children to care for her in the ways she needed despite her daughters being nurses.
Mum has settled in so well and all the staff are amazing, professional, knowledgeable and so kind.

Monkscroft is the perfect place for my mum to be cared for in the ways that she and her family would wish for. Thank you!

Entrusting a family member to a care home is undoubtedly one of the most daunting decisions one can face. However, Monkscroft alleviates these concerns by providing an environment that feels like the best possible home for my mother. The centre exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff's dedication and genuine care are immediately evident. They are incredibly friendly and always ready to offer reassurance, ensuring that my mother is treated with the utmost respect and compassion.
Initially, I harbored doubts and concerns about my mother staying at Monkscroft due to her complex needs. Yet, upon my arrival, it became clear that the staff are fully trained to provide the support. They consistently go above their duties, offering a level of care that leaves you with complete peace of mind, knowing she is in exceptionally capable hands.

I highly recommend Monkscroft to anyone considering care options. Don't hesitate; it is the best decision you can make for their well-being.
