My mother was very happy at Monkscroft. She was very well looked after, and we are very pleased that mum has such a good time living there. She was always telling my brother and myself 'I like it here'. The staff cared after her excellently and could not have been better. Thank you for making mum's final years happy one's and treating her so well.
Thank you for giving us a 5-stra review, we really appreciate it. Our team will be so thrilled to read how happy we made your mum's final years - that means the world to us. We loved caring for your mum, she will be missed. Our condolences to you all from everyone here at Monkscroft Care Centre.
I have been utterly stunned by the care, understanding, and compassion of all staff. I cannot put into words how grateful I am my dad got to spend his last month at this home. He was treated with the utmost care and dignity and I was amazed at how the staff even took care of me while my dad was there especially when he was end of life. words just don't seem enough to say how thankful I am to all staff i was always greeted with a smile when I visited. The home was always clean and smelt really pleasant I can totally understand how this home has an outstanding award from CQC they definitely deserve it.
Firstly, please accept our condolences on the passing of your dad. Although he was only with us for a short time, he will be greatly missed by us all here at Monkscroft. We really appreciate you taking the time to write us such a lovely review about our home and our team, we really appreciate it.
The staff from reception to the Redgrove ward are always friendly and very helpful. My mother-in-law stayed in the dementia ward, and was always well cared for over a period of nearly 5 years. She engaged with the carers and always seemed very content. When her condition worsened, the staff could not be kinder and made mum comfortable and went out of their way to make her room beautiful and fresh.
Thank you for your lovely review of our home, we really appreciate it. Our staff will be so thrilled to read how highly you rate them. We are so lucky to have amazing staff here, who truly go above and beyond every day. for our residents, we wouldn't have it any other way. It was an absolute pleasure caring for your mother- in-law.
My mother has been a resident since 2020 and she has always been treated with kindness and respect. When we visited the staff were often seen talking to her and laughing with her. She suffered with dementia for all the time she was in the home but would tell us 'I like it here' which to us meant everything.
Thank you for leaving us a lovely 5-star review, we really appreciate it. We love looking after your mother, seeing her interact with the team and laughing with us. We are so thrilled to read she likes living here. Thank you.
My husband was in respite at Monkscroft awaiting a full time care assessment. After the experience of Monkscroft I was delighted to be offered a place for my husband full term. The staff were paramount to my husband settling in so well at Monkscroft, they were just amazing! The management team proved invaluable to the seamless transition to full time care from respite care. My husband has settled in so well and the staff love him sense of humour, I can't thank all at Monkscroft enough for the love and care they show my husband.
Thank you for such a lovely review, we really are so grateful. We absolutely love caring for your husband and getting to know you. He has settled in really well and gets on well with the team and other residents. He most certainly makes us laugh! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you both.
A wonderful team of dedicated people, no sorry, angels.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely review! Your kind words mean so much to our whole team and we really appreciate it.
When my dear mum was on an end of life pathway, and a nursing home was agreed, Monkscroft was the place I wanted mum to go, within days and with some help, mum was brought into the Monkscroft family. Mum passed away 4 days later, sooner than I had hoped but her final days were peaceful and comfortable, she was a person and not a patient. The staff were amazing , caring and committed to the folks in their care. Monkscroft and its staff are truly amazing. Thank you.

My mother was taken to Monkscroft care centre at the start of Jan 2025 after being in hospital for many weeks, right from when we arrived for the first time the staff where excellent both with mum and us the family any concerns we had where sorted, she had to travel to hospital for chemo and they sorted her travel from the home to the hospital and back many times, the room she was in was clean + tidy at all times, she was treated as one of the family, the food is fantastic with lots of activities on offer. The manager could not do enough for us, our overall experience was excellent and would recommend Monkscroft care home to everyone.

The care home had been transformed into a winter wonderland. It all looked magical, from the porch to the entrance hall and lounges. They captured the excitement and joy of the season. The entertainment was excellent with visits from local schools and chorus. My friend was able to invite his brothers to the pre-Christmas party and his disabled son was invited to spend Christmas Day with his dad. This visit meant so much to both of them. The staff ensured they both had a very special time. The staff went that extra mile to ensure everyone celebrated in music, fun, food and friendship.
We do love to get into the festive spirit at Monkscroft! We're glad you and your friend, and his family, enjoyed it. It's always a pleasure to have friends and family join us - you're welcome anytime. Thank you for sharing your experiences and taking the time to write us a review.
